1. For those wanting to try Windows 10, I thought I would create a short guide on how to create a Clover/UEFI Windows 10 installer with Rufus and clean install. This guide is tailored for legacy BIOS machines but should also work in systems with native UEFI firmware. Prerequisites 1. Access to OSX and Windows to run Rufus and install Clover 2. Install Rufus: Download from here 3. Download the Windows 10 insider preview ISO (build 10074) from here. Edit 29/7/15 RTM build 10240 available!: Download MediaCreationTool. Making the UEFI Windows Installer 1. In Windows, Insert a 4GB or larger USB and start Rufus with the following settings Partition scheme and target system device = MBR for UEFI computer File System FAT32 2. Click the “Create a bootable disk using ISO image” checkbox and the CDROM icon to browse/choose your downloaded ISO 3. Click Start & OK to burn the image to the USB. Notice the USB takes on the name of the original ISO. 4. After the image has been burned to the USB, copy bootx64.efi from the /efi/boot folder of the Windows ISO/DVD into /efi/microsoft/boot. Rename the file to "bootmgfw.efi" and also rename cdboot.efi to cdboot.bak. For Windows 7, you need to extract bootmgfw.efi from "install.wim" eg using 7-Zip, open the iso and navigate to \sources\install.wim\1\Windows\Boot\EFI\bootmgfw.efi and copy to efi\microsoft\boot on the USB. Installing Legacy Clover (for legacy BIOS machines to boot the installer in UEFI mode) 1. Install Clover onto the USB drive (in OSX) with the “use alternative booting PBR” option ticked as shown below. Note - you can also install legacy Clover onto the USB in Windows using the Bootice program - see post#23 2. Copy the config.plist, DSDT/SSDT.aml file(s) which are specific to your system into the Clover folder - Put config.plist in /EFI/CLOVER directory
- Put DSDT.aml in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched - Put FakeSMC.kext and other kexts required in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.x (where x is your version of OSX) Installation of Windows 10 1. Create free space on the target hard drive for Windows 10. This can be done in OSX using Disk Utility or in Windows with Disk Management/Diskpart.exe. 2. It is recommended to temporarily disconnect all hard drives except the target hard drive when installing or updating Windows 10. 3. Boot the computer with the Installer USB, pressing <F12> (or whatever your system’s BIOS boot selection key is) to choose the USB and then pressing the number <6> key when you see Clover’s flashing underscore 4. At the Clover Main Menu, choose “Boot Microsoft EFI boot menu from your_USB_name” ---> start the Windows 10 installer GUI 5. Follow the rest of the steps in this guide - http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html Notes Choose the “Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)” option and just select the Unallocated Space for the installation —> the correct partitions will be automatically set up At the first reboot, boot to the USB again but at the Clover Main Menu, select “Boot Microsoft EFI boot menu from EFI” As the final step, don’t forget to install Clover on the hard drive . Major version upgrades through Windows Update (as opposed to a clean install) may overwrite the bootsector so legacy Clover might need to be re-installed. I recommend clean installing instead of letting Windows update perform an upgrade. If you run Windows 10 or 8 with Windows 7, you should turn off "Windows Hybrid Boot" to avoid chkdsk running every time you change from booting Windows 8/10 to Windows 7. Chameleon/Clover Emergency Boot Disk As an added bonus, by adding the attached Chameleon boot file to the root of the USB, you can use the installer as an emergency boot disk for Clover or Chameleon: Set your BIOS to boot first from USB ---> when you see the flashing underscore, press <1> to boot with Chameleon or <6> to boot with Clover . Chameleon v2737_boot1.zip Chameleon v2795_boot1.zip
2. Hello, I've got a Fujitsu Lifebook A555 with 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Intel i3 5th Generation processor (2.00 GHz), and Intel HD Graphics 5500. I've heard that Intel 5500 needs the DMVT to be changed, but I also heard that I could risk bricking my laptop. Will anyone please write out a guide for me to install El Capitan with Wifi and Sound working on this laptop? I would really appreciate it. I didn't understand the Broadwell part of Rehabman's new users guide. I'm not saying you guys do all the hard work and let me relax, I just want a guide specifically for my laptop (just to be safe) if you could manage writing it. (Because I don't want to end up bricking it) Thanks a lot I've got an El Capitan usb installer created using Createinstallmedia on OS X (friend's macbook) and Clover.

6. I was wondering, is it okay to install certain software through software update if you're running on 10.6.8 legacy kernel instead of a vanilla kernel? Or will it break my system? I'm running a snow leopard system on my Dell OptiPlex GX520 with 4 gigs of ram, and a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4HT Here's my software update window. install.tiff Which software is safe to install?
7. After trying to run my OS X virtual machine while unknowingly having a problem on my host Windows OS (Windows couldn't detect my DVD/CD drive), I now have problems during OS X's boot process in VMWare. The Windows problem has been fixed, but I now get suspicious OS X boot messsages like: FusionMPT: Notification = 10 (Event Change) for SCSI Domain = 0 FusionMPT: Resetting SCSI Domain 0 disk0s0: I/O error. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::pushCPU_CSTData - _CST evaluation failed BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR: smcReadData8 failed for key $Num (kSMCKeyNotFound) SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR $Num kSMCKeyNotFound(0x84) fKeyHashTable=0x0 Previous Shutdown Cause: 0 SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR: MMIO regMap == NULL — fall back to old SMC mode SMC::smcGetKeyFromIndexAction ERROR: failed on index 0 SMC::smcGetKeyFromIndexAction ERROR 0 kSMCTlmeoutError(0xb7) fKeyHashTable=0x0xffffff8006ed0000 SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR smcGetKeyFromIndex(0) kSMCTlmeoutError(0xb7) SMC::smcGetKeyInfoAction ERROR DPLM kSMCTimeoutError(0xb7) fKeyHashTable=0x0 SMC::smcGetKeyInfoAction ERROR WKTP kSMCTimeoutError(0xb7) fKeyHashTable=0x0 SMC::smcWriteKeyAction ERROR CLKH kSMCKeyNotFound(0x84) fKeyHashTable=0x0 Might anyone have any suggestions? I don't know which messages are typical and which are significant for diagnosing and fixing my problem, but maybe one of you does. I'm not sure what artifacts would be most helpful, but if you need some sort of VMWare log or excerpts from my preference or vmx files, let me know. Speaking of which, my vmx file does have the entry scsi0:0.deviceType = "cdrom-raw", so the above disk0s0: I/O error message, along with the above messages that contain the terms SMC, Index, and 0, seem to be consistent with my theory that the problem lies the CD-ROM drive. You can read the following for some background, context, and more detailed boot screen transcripts. Thanks! **BACKGROUND** A little over a year ago, I installed Snow Leopard on my 64 bit Toshiba Satellite L740 machine running Windows 7 and VMWare Player using these instructions. It worked fine, and I used it problem-free for several months to develop iOS apps with XCode. I eventually updated the OS to Mountain Lion last fall. Last December, my OS X installation stopped booting and never got past the gray Apple logo with the spinning gear. I turns out I had a minor issue on my Windows host OS where Windows couldn't detect my CD drive. I think it was the Device Manager that gave the error message, "Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs." I promptly fixed that issue by running the Microsoft Fix It tool on this page. But because I ran the OSX virtual machine in VMWare Player before I fixed the corrupted CD/DVD drive device issue, I'm guessing that initially caused the OS X boot hanging. I took this screenshot when starting up the virtual machine sometime after fixing the Windows device issue. It says, "Failed to get the state of the lock on the CD-ROM. When the VM is powered off, the host operating system can misinterpret the state of the drive." This further suggests that the CD-ROM drive issue in Windows and the boot hanging in OSX are related, but I can't really figure how to fix the latter. During startup, I've tried booting in Safe, Verbose, and Single-User Modes to see what was going on behind the scenes. Here is some of the output during the boot process. Single User Mode: ACPI: System State [s0 S4 S5] PFM64 (40 cpu) 0xff10000000, 0xf0000000 [ PCI configuration begin ] PCI configuration changed (bridge=35 device=0 cardbus=0) [ PCI configuration end, bridges 35 devices 11 ] AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient: ready USBF: 1.224 AppleUSBEHCI[0xffffff8005af3000]::CheckSleepCapability — controller will be unloaded across sleep FusionMPT: Notification = 10 (Event Change} for SCSI Domain = 0 FusionMPT: Resetting SCSI Domain 0 rooting via boot—uuid from /chosen: FB68ED3A—41D6—3149—BBB6—B2337308ED86 Waiting on <dict ID=”0”><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID=”1”>IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID=”2”> ot—uuid—media</string></dict> SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x05, ASC = 0x24, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x05, ASC = 0x24, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x05, ASC = 0x24, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x05, ASC = 0x24, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x05, ASC = 0x24, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 Got boot device = IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/scsi@10/AppleLSIFusionSCSI/IOSCSIParallelInterfaceDev e@1/IOSCSITargetDevice/IOSCSIHierarchicalLogicalUnit@0000000000000000/IOSCSIPeripheralDeviceType00/IOBlo BSD root: disk1s2, major 14, minor 4 ioqueue_depth = 128, ioscale = 4 Kernel is LP64 com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 *** launchd[1] has started up. *** com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 *** Verbose boot, will log to /dev/console. *** Singleuser boot —— fsck not done Root device is mounted read—only If you want to make modifications to files: /sbin/fsck —fy /sbin/mount —uw / If you wish to boot the system: exit :/ root# and Single User Mode after typing "exit" at the prompt: SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 disk0s0: I/O error. SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 disk0s0: I/O error. SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 disk0s0: I/O error. SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x02, ASC = 0x00, ASCQ = 0x00 disk0s0: I/O error. Atheros AR5007 on Compaq

Hello Dear Friends, This is my first post. But I'm not new, I have a Laptop (Compaq Presario CQ61) with the Following Specifications (http://h10010.www1.h...8492.html?dnr=1). I've been trying to find a Driver / Kext that matches my Computer for months, When I didn't found (last year) I finally gave up and Uninstalled Mac From my Laptop, This time I decided to Install it again and See if there Any updates on the Subjects, Unfortunately I didn't find Anything. I did found "AR5007.pkg" "AirportAtheros.kext" "IO80211Family.kext", But these Never worked. Now I installed those and I see theres a Wifi Icon says "Wifi: No hardwere detected", No Airport, Nothing. I tried finding Wifi with KisMac, Didn't find any, I've been researching this for Too Long alone, So I thought maybe here I'll get my help and I won't need to retire from Mac again, I just love mac Please Help me? As I said Above, these are My Computer Details - http://h10010.www1.h...8492.html?dnr=1 P.S: I got iATKOS L2, 10.7.2. Runing PdaNet with My iPhone provides me Internet for this time.. - Thanks for Reading, Aviv Amar.
9. What kernel to use with the Intel Atom N450? I am trying to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion. My netbook is the Acer Aspire One 532h. It has the Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz. The N450 is 64-bit. I know that because, I put Windows 7 64-bit on this netbook, And because on the Intel ARK website it says it is 64-bit. What kernel should I use? I would like to get Mountain Lion on this Computer. I don't care if the Graphics Card work. That is another project for me. Thank You
10. No hokus pokus - No magic I am basically making this more current and simplifying it for people with HP Z800 wanting to run Sierra. With a bit more detail on the BIOS settings All credit really goes to: chatdeau, Rockey12 and ZoroZZ for helping out and creating the first topic on the HP Z series found here I am not sure who to credit for the kexts but a big THANK YOU to whoever you are! The HP Z series is very powerful and affordable computers which I simply think is a brilliant Hackintosh solution. Step two – BIOS settings Setup the BIOS settings with the following settings. Please keep in mind that there might be option you can turn on or off depending on your need but this is just what worked for me. Storage > Storage Options - Removal Media Boot = Enable - Legacy Diskette Write = Enable - SATA Emulation = RAID+AHCI Security > System Security - Data Execution Prevention = Enable - Virtualization (VTx) = Disable - Virtualization (VT-d2) = Disable - AES Instruction = Enable Security > Device Security (Everything to “Device Available” except these) - Serial port = Hidden - Internal USB = Hidden - SAS Controller = Hidden - Legacy Diskette = Hidden - Embedded Security = Hidden Power > OS Power Management - Runtime Power Man = Enable - MWAIT-Aware OS = Enable - Idle Power savings = Extended - ACPI S3 Hard Disk = Disable - ACPI S3 PS2 Mouse = Enable - USB Wake = Disable - Unique Sleep State = Disable Power > Hardware Power Management - SATA Power Manage = Enable - Intel Turbo Boost = Enable - Enhanced Intel Turbo Boost = Enable - EUP Compliance = Enable Advanced > Processor - Hyper-Threading = Enable - Active Cores = All Cores - Limited CPUID = Disable Advanced > Chipset/Memory - PCI SERR# Generation = Disable - PCI VGA Palette Snooping = Disable - Enhanced Memory Performance = Enable Advanced > Device Options - Num Lock = Off - S5 Wake on LAN = Enable - Multi-Processor = Enable - Internal Speaker = Disable - Monitor Tracking = Disable - NIC PXE = Disable - SATA RAID Option ROM = Enable Step tree – Create the USB Download the Mac OS Sierra installer app from the Appstore on a working computer running Mac Run Disk Utility and format the USB key as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with GUID Partition Map. I just named the USB Key Untitled as standard Then open terminal and run this command to create the USB key sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app Please note that this part of the command “/Volumes/Untitled” is the path to the USB key and if you have named it anything else than “Untitled” you will have to edit it with the name of your USB key. Once the command is done you have to install Clover which can be downloaded here Run the clover pkg and remember to “Change Install Location” to your usb. Then choose costumize and choose the following: - Bootloader - Install boot0af in MBR - CloverEFI - CloverEFI 64-bits SATA Once Clover is installed you will need to add the following Kexts (attached below) to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder on your USB Key. - AHCIPortInjector_v1.0.0_Micky1979.kext - FakeSMC_v6.16.1372_netkas.kext - IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector_v1.0.0_Micky1979.kext - NullCPUPowerManagement_v1.0.0d2_tgwbd.kext Step four – Boot to Installation Insert the USB key and start the computer. At the HP screen choose F9 to choose boot option. Then select USB drive When you are at the CLOVER screen you can choose options and in the boot arguments you should write use the –v bootflag to be able to see what is going on in case there is any errors. In my case I am using a ATI 5870 GPU and I don’t need to do anything as the ATI 5xxx series is supported but Mac OS X by default. If you have an Nvidia card you need to add the nv_disable=1 boot argument to avoid a black screen. Now run the installer as you would with any Mac and at the install screen you shall rund Disk Utility and format the drive you want to use as we did previously with the USB key. Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with GUID Partition Map. The installer will reboot the computer and when It starts again you need to hit F9 again select the USB key but this time at the Clover screen You need to choose your newly created Hard drive. The Installer will continue after this and boot one last time before booting in to the new system. Please note that you need to boot from the USB and choose the hard drive each time at the Clover screen. Step five – Make the OS bootable Once you are running your new OS you will need to install clover to that drive like we did previously on the USB key. Run the clover pkg and remember to “Change Install Location” to your hard drive. Then choose costumize and choose the following: - Bootloader - Install boot0af in MBR - CloverEFI - CloverEFI 64-bits SATA Once Clover is installed you will need to add these following Kexts found here to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder on you’re the OS X hard drive. If you have an Nvidia GPU you will need to install the web driver which is found here And use the nvda_drv=1 boot flag at the clover screen. You will need to add this to the config.plist ether manually or with clover configurator to avoid typing it in all the time. Enjoy your new powerful hackintosh. HP Z800 kexts Sierra.zip
11. I have an HP Media Center m1180n PC. I want to install either Snow Leopard or Lion on it (along with Tiger just to do it). Can they run on my PC? This is what I have: ACPI-enabled ASUS motherboard with AMI BIOS v3.28 (1/23/2006) 32-bit unicore 2-threaded Pentium IV @ 3.4GHz (supports MMX and SSE1-3) 1GB DDR1 RAM RADEON X300 graphics card (it's horrible; was supposed to be a GeForce 9600 GTX but the power box couldn't power it) no floppy drive a generic CD/DVD drive numerous USB 2.0 ports and a firewire port a generic High Definition Audio Device (which I'm guessing means I have an on-board sound card) a PCI Soft Modem a WinTV TV tuner card a USB Logitech laser mouse a standard Dell PS/2 keyboard an IDE 240GB hard drive with 3 partitions: 26GB for Vista, 200GB for XP, 6GB reserved as an OEM recovery partiton also connected is a 465GB SATA hard drive that is used to store user data on. Used to be a Vista drive on a now-dead PC and still contains the OS files on it a media expansion bay Should OSx86 be able to run on this at native speed? What is the highest Mac OS X version that can run on this? Also, is it possible to dual-boot OSx86 with my current triboot configuration (Vista, XP, Windows XP Recovery Console and probably soon, Debian)? Thanks, WindozeNT EDIT: I had no choice in the hardware and currently am unable to upgrade any of it. This was basically a hand-me-down PC.

I don't know how to fix it, actually haven't spent time to figure out how to fix it. But I have a new challenge now. Have you already installed Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on HP Pavilion dv7? Let me know about your success. Some updates below: Installation procedure I'm using myHack.app to create usb boot disk for installation. Follow guide from sojugarden.com how to create USB installation thumb by using myHack.app. Set from bios to require password on boot (otherwise it might fail to boot from thumb drive and later mac) Add patched dsdt.aml into Extra folder on thumb drive Boot from thumb drive Install Mac OS X Lion Post Installation procedure Mount your Lion drive to some another mac and find /System/Library/CoreServices/Setup Assistant.app Click on Setup Assistant.app and Show Package Content and open file Setup Assistant.app/Contents/Info.plist Remove these lines: <string>DeviceSection</string><string>KeyboardTypeSection</string> Use myHack.app “Install Chameleon + Extra” to make your new installation bootable Boot your laptop from HD Setup your account (with password, otherwise you couldn't use sudo commands) Add extra extensions Reboot Enjoy . 15. Hello AMD users, I have an such wishful thinking and so I need your help: What features are missing us in use of Mac OS X with AMD processors against Intel processors. Please write here on the missing functions. FYI, this page is not of Install helps or something similar, please
16. Hey guys the reason why I'm making this post is because I didn't think I was going to be able to make a new version of Hackintosh in my old computer. It turned out that I actually could and it works flawlessly! I will tell you what I've made so if you have similar components you can take my guide so you can install it as well. SPECS: Mobo: H61M-P31 (G3) Processor: i3 3220 GPU: GTX 1070 (EVGA SC) Memory: 8 GB (2x4 1333 MHz) Storage: 2x SEAGATE 500 GB (Windows 10 installed on the 1 HD, Mac OS X in the 2) Display: SAMSUNG 23PL S23C550 Where did I start? I started by downloading the Mac OS Sierra DMG (Niresh's version) and then transferred to a USB (8 GB) in Windows using Transmac app. It's pretty simple, there are tutorials available on the net how to do it. After you've transferred the DMG to your FLASH USB you will have to go to your BIOS and change SATA IDE to SATA AHCI mode. Also, you'll have to change the HDDs order for booting. If you want to make a dual boot with your windows system you'll have to let the Mac OS X HDD boot first so you can access your Windows system in Clover bootloader. Pretty simple, see more of the "how to" here (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303960-success-yosemite-hackintosh-on-msi-h61m-p31w8/) Boot from USB After choosing your USB by pressing F11, there's no need to type anything ("darts=0 -v" is inserted by default on the boot loader) after you wait the loading if everything goes well you'll be able to see the setup Mac OS X screen. Installation No mystery here just do what you've learnt and format the HD who is going to host Mac OS X Sierra (that can simply be found on youtube). After you have done all the HD stuff it's time to move on with the insulation. When you finally reach the part where you need to choose your HDD to install Mac OS on, go to Customize in the left bottom corner. In Customize you'll have to change the bootloader from "Chameleon" to "Clover", for some reason when I tried to install with chameleon on it didn't proceed with the installation and I got several errors. That's very important to keep going with the installation process. Post-installation If everything gone well you'll now be in the Desktop of your OS. Wait about 10 minutes so the system can configure and make all the changes. After that, the things you'll need to configure are your GPU and the Audio (if your audio for some reason have a static sound or an annoying noise). Also, you'll need to UPDATE your system to the version 10.12.6 so you can install the driver. No mystery here, just go to Appstore and update it and boot your system again (no flag needed). GTX 1070 Driver (Nvidia Web Driver) in order to get your GTX 1070 working (works for all pascals and only) you'll need to install (378.05.05.25f01) version which worked for me. You can find it on this link: (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312525-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-07212017/) After you install your web driver you'll have to activate it on your bootloader. Nvidia Web Driver Activation After restarting your computer once you've installed the driver you'll need to go on Clover Configurator (which can be found by searching in Spotlight). After that, follow these steps: 1 > You'll get a message that Clover didn't find the config.plist and will ask you to mount an EFI Partition. Click on: Mount EFI Partition 2 > You'll see the EFI Partition in the bottom, then click on "Mount Partition" after that you'll click on "Open Partition" 3 > Go to: EFI > CLOVER > CONFIG.PLIST > Open with TextEdit 4 > Scroll down to the last lines and replace: <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>InjectKexts</key> <string>YES</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> <key>NvidiaWeb</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist> 5 > Close the TextEdit and save your changes. - After that reboot your system, you'll probably get your Pascal GPU working by now. Audio FIX / Microphone Fix / Siri Fix In order to get your microphone working/siri. You'll need to download the file: "VoodooHDA.Kext" and then follow these steps: VoodooHDA.kext.zip 1 - > Open Kext Wizard > click on "Installation" tab > drag and drop the file you've just downloaded and drop it in the middle of the app screen > click on Install. After that, reboot your system and you'll probably get everything working by now just as I do

Lion on Asus P5Q SE2

Hello! I am new to these forums, so please excuse me. I am and have been a mac user for almost 7 years now. Here's the thing; I would like to install Mac OS X on my homebuilt computer. My old iMac from late 2006 is just not working as I want it to do anymore, and therefore, I wish to upgrade to my windows computer. Now here's the thing; When I bought the parts, I did not look at the HCL. I have now looked through the HCL, and I found that I can install Hazard 10.6.2 on my computer. The motherboard is an Asus P5Q SE2. I have an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU. Now here comes the tricky part; I have tried millions of times, to be able to install it. As I am limited in my knowledge of OSX86, I do not know what kext's to select, etc. So I am kinda stuck. I tried and tried and tried and after a while, I got it right. But now, as I wish to develop apps, I want to get OSX Lion. So I follow many different tutorials, but everything that happens when I upgrade with the Combo Update is that everyting disappears and I have to reinstall everything on my HD. So please, can someone help me, guide me or do something that could help me? I would be so greatful! And if you want to get further details, just post and I'll post it here. Thanks so much. / Pontus (aka Pappan125). EDIT: Here comes the entire setup, that I found on the Control Panel; CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.50 GHZ Q8300. RAM: 2 GB Kingston. System type: 32bit operating system (unsure if 64 bit works). That was what I could find.
18. So my parents are considering getting a new computer and giving me their old computer with xp with an intel chipset and 2.8 gb of ram. I am planning on tripple booting it the first os being mac os x lion 10.7.5, second being Ubuntu, and finally third being windows 8.1 (legit) with my msdn. I would have to get a new dongle that would work. But which one is "the best" and has drivers for Mac, Ubuntu and Windows compatibility but under 30 us dollars. Any suggestions are appreciated and welcomed.
19. Hello. I've successfully managed to install Mac OS X 10.6 on my Compaq Presario SR5505F PC, and upgraded all the way up to 10.6.4 without any issues. However, when I try to upgrade to 10.6.5 or any version higher, problems start. I've replaced the suggested IOUSB files (I don't know the full name off the top of my head), and when I boot up after the upgrade and file replacement, the screen turns all weird on me.... It becomes extremely pixelated, with random pixels running in an upward vertical pattern (looks like a crash to me). When I re-installed and did this again, I didn't replace the file (the one mentioned above, to get USB working) and the desktop loaded just fine.... So I'm lead to believe there's a problem with that file? Unfortunately though, that stops my keyboard and mouse from working... and I don't have any PS2 or whatever it's called kind of keyboard or mouse to use as an alternative I havn't replaced any kexts or used any utilities at all, aside from ##### to only "fix" the USB issue. All my hardware and everything works perfectly on 10.6.4 without any special installs or anything, aside from graphics being in low resolution. My computer has all the standard, base hardware the Compaq Presario SR5505F model comes pre-built with, aside from my own upgrade to 4 GB of RAM and a new AMD Radeon HD 5450 1GB Graphics Card. Again, everything works beautifully on 10.6.4 aside from low resolution graphics, and I would REALLY love to upgrade to higher versions, all the way up to 10.6.8 if possible. Because of my computer model, there was never any AHCI options in my BIOS settings, but I'm able to boot into Snow Leopard just fine... But really, please help? I can boot into Safe Mode without any problems at all. I'd REALLY appreciate help! I'm absolutely in love with Mac OS! It runs amazingly well on my PC. It runs incredibly smooth, applications open instantly, everything is quickly responsive. And Mac OS by far runs better than any OS I've previously installed on my PC. Hope someone can help me!

How to overclock ATI card on Mac OS X

Hello everyone! I have ATI Mobility Radeon 5850 with standard frequencies 625/800. I did overclocking on Windows and now I have 725/928MHZ(Core/Memory accordingly) With these frequencies I pass successful Graphics tests such as 3Dmark, MSI Kombuster and games. And got increase of productivity. I used this formula to calculate necessary frequencies, 725*(800/625)=928. With 700/1000 I see artifact-stripes on games. With 800/1000 my card stops working when I start 3DMark. By the way, are my present frequencies good(725/928)? So I decided to began thinking of how we can do the same thing on mac. Unfortunately, we don't have analogous programs like MSI Afterburner on Mac. So, in my opinion, the only way to do the same is to take out Vbios and make changes of frequnces by RBE bios editor. Afterwards. we slip it into bootloader or DSDT. But, What's next? How can we check it out? There is no similar program such as GPU-Z on Mac as well. Is there a program or method to watch GPU Clock/Memory CLock?

Acer Aspire One Dual Boot

I'm trying to install Mac OS 10.6.0 on an Acer Aspire One netbook with a simple dual boot of Windows XP and Mac OS X. I am following these tutorials to get this set up: http://basshead.word...-one-aoa150zg5/ http://wiki.osx86pro...imple_Dual_Boot I have repartitioned the hard drive using MiniTool Partition Wizard in Windows XP with a 100GB Windows XP partition, a 5GB Acer Recovery partition (pre-installed) and a 45GB FAT32 partition for Mac OS X. I have been able to run the Mac OS X installer and get to Disc Utility to format the 45GB partition as Mac OS X (Journaled) HFS+, but the installer refuses to install on the partition because the hard drive is not formatted in the GUID Partition Scheme. It seems the hard drive is formatted as MBR. I have tried to create a partition in Disc Utility when the 45GB is unallocated space but again the installer requires a reformat of the hard drive. I would prefer not to reformat the entire drive again because I do not want to lose the Acer Recovery Partition and my current install of Windows XP. It may also be difficult to install Windows XP on a GUID Partition Scheme Hard Drive. Is there any way that I can install Mac OS 10.6.0 on this partition without reformatting the whole hard drive in the GUID Partition Scheme? Could this method work? http://www.macbreaker.com/2012/02/mac-os-x-on-mbr-partition.html Thanks
