  1. Attempted fixes: - Using MaciASL to patch a clean DSDT for Sabertooth z77 - no change upon installation of DSDT file. - Using UEFIPatch to patch my bios with sandy bridge power management - no change after flashing - Downloading a pre-patched bios for hackintosh pm - no change - Fiddling with bios settings endlessly Any ideas? Guiz?
  2. I got a copy of iLife 11 from eBay and i checked it to see if it is legit, and it was. So i mounted my drive to the VMWare to the Hackintosh Sierra and it loaded fine but i found out the GPU wasn't compatible. And i read that: VMWare is using a fake GPU emulation where it can't use the hosts GPU and tell that it might have Quartz thing on there so Mac's can't know if this hardware was used. So... Is there a great VM program for Windows? And yes i'm using Windows since i the PC's i have don't have compatible Wi-Fi drivers so the VM only was my choice to get online and use it as my daily basis.
  3. Help! ASUS K501UX

Hey guys, I am fairly new to the scene and recently successfuly installed El Capitan 10.11 on the Asus K501UX The specs are: Core i7-6500u, 8GB RAM, GTX 950M (DISABLED), HD520 Everything seems to be in good working order thanks to Ludwig Bartholomew for guiding me and helping me through the process. But, I keep recieving a Kernel Panic everytime I have the VoodooI2C kext installed for the trackpad to function. If I remove it everything works fine except for the trackpad which is the issue. Note: I also removed all of the LPSS kext files from the S/L/E to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  5. Hi there guys, So today I tried installing maverick(10.9) to my PC and I went through all the steps and I got in to the desktop. But my screen was flickering and the system was really slow. I assumed it had something to do with my gpu drivers but I couldn't find any that would work with my OS version. Here are my specs: MOTHERBOARD: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.01GHz RAM: 16GB DDR3 2207.4 MHz GPU: GIGABYTE Technology NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 GDDR5 4GB Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  6. Hello fellow Hackintoshers I come to present my full guide on how to install Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan on any Lenovo Thinkpad L420. I understand this is not a highly popular laptop outside corporations, I don’t even know if it was ever sold to the general public, so I guess this post will help me know that hahah anyway a friend of mine gave me two of them, one with i5 another with i3. This tutorial applies to any of those models. It should also apply to older versions of Mac OS X all the way until Snow Leopard (little modifications required as well as appropriate kexts) First, screenshot proof of beautiful functionality What is working WiFi , Bluetooth, Airdrop (Wifi replaced with Atheros AR9285) Full QE/CI acceleration with integrated Intel HD3000 graphics Trackpad with 1 finger , 2 finger and 3 finger gestures keyboard as well as function keys (brightness, volume) Battery percentage Sleep, Shutdown and Reboot Sound working on ALC269 mobile DVD Drive DisplayPort audio and video VGA out USB 3.0 ExpressCard (Renesas) iMessage and Facetime Recovery Partition What is not working You tell me Install bootloader (Clover) to El Capitan USB install media You should select your USB in the Clover installer and then hit “Customize” Select the next options: Install Clover in the ESP Install boot0ss in MBR Clover EFI 64bits SATA CSMVideoDxe-64 EmuVariableUEFI-64 OsxAptioFix2Drv-64 Fat64 Configuring the bootloader After installation is complete, the EFI partition we want to configure will already be mounted, so we proceed to open it and do the following Install HFSPlus.efi and NTFS.efi in drivers64UEFI folder and remove VboxHFS.efiOpen the folder /EFI/Clover/kexts and delete all the folders starting by 10 and leave only the “other” folderIn the above mentioned “other” folder place the kexts that I will quote next (you can download the ones attached to the post, but I always recommend the latest versions) : ACPIBatteryManager.kext AppleALC.kext BroadcomBluetooth.kext CodecCommander.kext DisableTurboBoostBattery.kext FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext FakePCIID.kext FakeSMC, HWInfo, IntelCPUMonitor (HwSensors3 from Slice) GenericUSBXHCI.kext (only if you use an USB3.0 ExpressCard) IntelBacklight.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext toledaARPT.kext (if you use Atheros AR9285) USBInjectAll.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext ( tluck's version ) kextpack Lenovo L420 .zip After all the kexts are in the correct folder you should tweak your config.plist as follows, I recommend using Clover Configurator Lenovo mostly whitelist the Wifi cards on their laptops (and some desktops) so you will have to use a custom BIOS for this. There is one here luckily. https://app.box.com/s/j4fffsagyzlohxmnvq6t If you need me to explain how to flash it then you shouldn’t really be Hackintoshing in the first place. After you have flashed the BIOS make sure you set the SATA controller to AHCI. You should be able to boot from the Clover USB and install Mac OS X Remember to use a GUID partition scheme for the drive you will use. Recovery partition should be generated automatically by the OS X installer. Enjoy your new HackBook PS: DSDT and SSDT patches tutorial for this specific laptop are on their way
  7. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, I'm really searching for some help with my "project" and hope some of you can help me out with this one! It's all coming down to a not starting "Finder" The full story, I bought a Mac Pro 1.1 (2006) a few day's ago. All stock, dual Intel Xeon 3Ghz, 5GB Ram and the stock video card (256MB). (Lion freshley installed) I wanted to upgrade to OSX El Capitain, and after a lot of research and a lot... yes a lot of trouble in making it all work I finally got it. I've thrown in a Geforce GTX 760 2GB Jetstream... couldn't wait to get cables for powering it, so I frankensteind it all with a second PSU. Installed Lion on a Samsung 850 EVO, and then followd a tutorial on how to install el capitain using Piker's boot. After 12 hours non stop messin around it worked, only after some time the mac froze and rebooted. I noticed that maby Google Chrome caused this to happen, and when using Safari it would work without any problem. I even can play 4K flawless. But still after some time it would crash, I monitored the CPU and Ram Usage, but there wasn't anything crazy happening at those things. .. didn't really got the time to instal other apps. Then I found out Finder wasn't responding. It kept on crashing. I tried a lot of things... deleting the plist files, resetting PRAM, VRAM, Savebooting, deleting cache, Disk repair (Disk Aid)... nothing worked. Is this maby a problem with the bootloader (Pike)? I hope someone can help me out! Thanks in advance, Greetings from Holland
  8. MacOS Sierra su HP 250 G5 W4N06EA

Salve a tutti ragazzi, vorrei installare Sierra sul mio nuovo notebook. Avete qualche guida da consigliarmi? i3-5005U (Broadwell) 4GB Ram DDR 3 Intel HD Graphics 5500
  9. Sadly i got banned on tonymacx86.com for the mentioning of "Pandoras Box" in this tutorial (reason: "Blatant Disregard of Forum Policies on Piracy"). Thats why i post and update it here Dell XPS 15 (9550, Version of 2016) Sierra 10.13.1 Tutorial Please use the GITHUB version of this text, because this tutorial got too fragmented for a simple forum thread - thanks to the latest Dell Firmware 1.2.25 which requires multiple different versions and tutorials and made the installation of OSX much harder for newbies Before we start: this installation includes real time DSDT/SSDT patching from within clover. This is pretty easy to install. But it is NOT suited for people with no or only few knowledge in Hackintosh Systems. If you only know how to copy commands in your shell and you dont know what they're doing, then stop the tutorial and revert to windows or buy a real mac. Even if you get it running: this system is not failsafe and will be broken multiple times in its usage time, where you have to fix it without a tutorial. Optional steps are marked in GREEN, System dependent steps are BLUE English is not my mother-tongue and i'm writing this without proof reading, so please forgive my bad spelling If you've questions or something doesn't work: first check if you've done all steps of this tutorial! If yes: please read the whole thread (doesn't matter how long it is) before asking to prevent multiple questions. Additionally do a search in google and this forum. Credits: Many knowledge of "how to hackintosh a dell in the first place" by the tutorial of @Gymnae http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319766-dell-xps-9550-detailled-1011-guide/ Using many kexts and solutions from @RehabMan What's not working: Hibernation (works somehow, but high chance to destroy your whole data), Sleep works fine! SD-Card reader Killer 1535 Wifi (rarely used, need replace) nVidia Graphics card (Intel works) FileVault 2 (full HDD encryption) Requirements: one working MAC OS X Enviroment 16GB USB Stick (larger is sometimes not bootable and/or requires advanced partitioning) MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1 installation file from the app store (redownload, just in case) Knowledge in PLIST editing USB Harddrive for backup - you'll loose all data on your computer! Step 1: Prepare Installation Use the existing Mac to download the Sierra installer from the App Store and create a bootable USB stick with CLOVER. You can do this with the App "Pandora's Box" of insanelymac (use google for download link), which is pretty easy to use. Optional: check if your SSD can be switched to 4k sector size. This prevents NVMe corruption. See https://github.com/wmchris/DellXPS15-9550-OSX/blob/10.13/4k_sector.md After you've finished you need to download the Dell XPS 15 specific configurations for clover. Link: https://github.com/wmchris/DellXPS15-9550-OSX/archive/10.13.zip and unzip this file or checkout git directly: git clone https://github.com/wmchris/DellXPS15-9550-OSX.git You only need the folder 10.13, you can delete the 10.11. I'll refer to this folder by "git/" Now mount the hidden EFI partition of the USB Stick by entering diskutil mount EFI Inside the terminal. Mac OS will automaticly mount the EFI partition of the USB stick, but just in case: make sure it really is Overwrite everything in the CLOVER folder of the partition EFI with the content of git/10.13/CLOVER. If your PC has a Core i5 processor, you'll have to modify your config.plist in EFI/EFI/CLOVER/: search for the Key ig-platform-id: 0x191b0000 and replace it with 0x19160000. If you could use the 4k sector patch, replace the config.plist with the 4kconfig.plist. If you use a hynix device and you didnt do the 4k sector switch, you'll have to add the following patch to your config.plist <key>Comment</key> <string>IONVMeFamily Pike R. Alpha Hynix SSD patch</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data>9sEQD4UcAQAA</data> <key>Name</key> <string>IONVMeFamily</string> <key>Replace</key> <data>9sECD4UcAQAA</data> Go into the EFI Configuration (BIOS) of your Dell XPS 15: Also disable the SD-Card Reader to reduce the power consumption drastically. Insert the stick on the Dell XPS 15 and boot it up holding the F12 key to get in the boot-menu and start by selecting your USB-Stick (if you've done it correctly it's named "Clover: Install macOS Sierra", otherwise it's just the brandname of your USB-Drive). You should get to the MacOS Installation like on a real mac. If you're asked to log-in with your apple-id: select not now! Reason: see Step 5. Step 2: Partition and Installation INFORMATION: after this step your computer will loose ALL data! So if you haven't created a backup, yet: QUIT NOW! Dont install macOS yet. Select the Diskutil and delete the old partitions. Create a new HFS partition and name it "OSX". If you want to multiboot with Windows 10, then you'll have to create a second partition, too (also HFS! Dont use FAT or it will not boot! You have to reformat it when installing Windows). Make sure to select GUID as partition sheme. Close the Diskutil and install OSX normally. You'll have to reboot multiple times, make sure to always boot using the attached USB stick. So dont forget to press F12. After the first reboot you should see a new boot option inside clover, which is highlighted by default. Just press enter. If you only see one, then something went wrong. Step 3: Make it bootable After a few reboots you should be inside your new macOS enviroment. You can always boot into it using the USB stick. Remove the USB drive after successful bootup. Enter diskutil mount EFI in your terminal, which should mount the EFI partition of your local installation. install git/Additional/Tools/Clover_v2.4k_r4003.pkg. Make sure to select "Install Clover in ESP". Also select to install the RC-Scripts. This should install the Clover Boot System. Now copy everything from git/10.13/CLOVER to EFI/CLOVER like you did before by creating the usb stick. (if you had to modify the config.plist in step 1, do it here, too). Your system should be bootable by itself. Reboot and check if your system can boot by itself. Step 4: Post Installation Because all DSDT/SSDT changes are already in the config.plist, you dont need to recompile your DSDT (albeit i suggest doing it anyway to make your system a lil bit more failsafe, see gymnaes El-Capitan tutorial for more informations). So we can skip this part and go directly to the installation of the required kexts. Open a terminal and goto the GIT folder. sudo cp -r ./Post-Install/LE-Kexts/* /Library/Extensions/ sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPS2Nub.bak 2> /dev/null sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.bak 2> /dev/null sudo ./AD-Kexts/VoodooPS2Daemon/_install.command Now you'll have to replace the config.plist. Because you'll install modified kexts you'll HAVE TO replace the config.plist in your installation. Otherwise your PC will not boot anymore. diskutil mount EFI replace EFI/CLOVER/config.plist with git/Post-Install/CLOVER/config.plist. Again: if your PC has a Core i5 processor, search the config.plist for the Key ig-platform-id: 0x191b0000 and replace it with 0x19160000. OPTIONAL (in case you've audio problems): AppleHDA has some problems after Wake-Up. You'll have to plug in a headphone to get your speakers working again. You can use VoodooHDA instead, which breaks the headphone jack most of the time, but makes the rest much more stable. sudo rm -r /Library/Extensions/CodecCommander.kext sudo rm /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-ALC298.aml then remove from your config.plist from the key "KextsToPatch" the elements "AppleHDA#1" to "AppleHDA#7". Install the package: git/Post-Install/AD-Kexts/VoodooHDA-2.8.8.pkg i also suggest moving some of the kext from EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.13 to /Library/Extensions. It's just more stable. Finalize the kext-copy by recreating the kernel cache: sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache sudo rm -rf /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u / sometimes you'll have to redo the last command if your system shows "Lock acquired". OSX 10.12.2 removed the posibility to load unsigned code. You can enable this by entering sudo spctl --master-disable If you're using the 4K monitor, you'll have to copy the UHD enabling kexts to your clover directory: sudo cp ./Post-Install/AD-Kexts/UHD-Kexts/* /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.13/ To enable GPU acceleration: Edit your clover config file again and remove the following block from it: To prevent getting in hibernation (which can and will corrupt your data), just set the default sleep mode to "suspend to ram" (sleep) instead of "suspend to disk" (hibernation) sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 To get HDMI Audio working: Search for your Boarrd-ID in the config.plist and open /S/E/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/contents/plugin/AppleGraphicePolicy.kext/contents/info.plist with a texteditor. Search for your board-id in there and change the value of it from "Config2" to "none" OPTIONAL (alternative power management): the whole power management is done by intels speed step technology (HWP), which is enabled in the clover config. If you want to let OSX manage the power management, you'll have to do these steps: sudo cp ./Post-Install/CLOVER/ACPI/optional/SSDT.aml /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ then open the config.plist (/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist) and change <key>HWPEnable</key><true/> to <key>HWPEnable</key><false/>. Step 5: iServices (AppStore, iMessages etc.) WARNING! DONT USE YOUR MAIN APPLE ACCOUNT FOR TESTING! It's pretty common that apple BANS your apple-id from iMessage and other services if you've logged in on not well configured hackintoshs! If you want to use the iServices, you'll have to do some advanced steps, which are not completly explained in this tutorial. First you need to switch the faked network device already created by step 4 to be on en0. Goto your network settings and remove every network interface. sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist Reboot, go back in the network configuration and add the network interfaces (LAN) before Wifi. You also need to modify your SMBIOS in the config.plist of Clover in your EFI partition with valid informations about your "fake" mac. There are multiple tutorials which explain how to do it like "http://www.fitzweekly.com/2016/02/hackintosh-imessage-tutorial.html". It's possible you have to call the apple hotline to get your fake serial whitelisted by telling a good story why apple forgot to add your serial number in their system. (aka: dont do it if you dont own a real mac). I personally suggest using real data from an old (broken) macbook. Step 6: Upgrading to macOS 10.13.2 or higher / installing security updates Each upgrade will possibly break your system! (Update: after the latest updates in this tutorial the system should be update-proof.) Step 7: Fixes / Enhancements / Alternative Solutions / Bugs See: https://github.com/wmchris/DellXPS15-9550-OSX/blob/10.13/Tutorial_10.13_Step7.md Afterword and fixes as i said before: this is not a tutorial for absolute beginners, albeit it's much easier then most other tutorials, because most is preconfigured in the supplied config.plist. Some Dells have components included, which are not supported by these preconfigured files. Then i can only suggest using Gymnaes tutorial which explains most of the DSDT patching, config.plist editing and kexts used in detail and use the supplied files here as templates. Warning: Some people have reported multiple data losses on this machine. I suggest using time-machine whenever possible! If your device is detected as "Model Name: Apple Device", see: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319764-guide-dell-xps-15-9550-sierra-10122-quick-installation/page-13?do=findComment&comment=2362337 If you want to save the settings of the display brightness: downgrade to clover 3899, in the never versions the nvram restore is broken. USBInjectAll is not intended for permanent use. You should check which USB are really required to be injected and modify your DSDT/SSDT. 4K Touchscreen only: Multitouch can be achieved with the driver from touch-base.com, but it's not open source - costs > 100 $ Not a bug: if you REALLY want to use the 4K Display natively and disable the Retina Mode (max 1920x1080), see: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/macbook-pro-retina-display-faq/macbook-pro-retina-display-hack-to-run-native-resolution.html Tutorial Updates 27. March 2017: UHD Kexts added, replaces perl command 23. March 2017: 4k sector tutorial against NVMe corruption added 7. March 2017: Suggestion to disable the SD Card Reader for reduced power consumption 4. February 2017: Dell SMBIOS Truncation workaround added 23. January 2017: Hynix SSD fix added 31. December 2016: USB-C Hotplug Fix and USB InjectAll Removed 28. December 2016: NVMe SSDT Spoof precreated, FakeID already preset in installation config.plist. VoodooHDA added as alternative to SSDT-ALC298 patch as well as color coding in tutorial 22. December 2016: FakeSMBios added Accessories Appendix: The official Dell adaptor DA200 (http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=at&l=de&s=dhs&cs=atdhs1&sku=470-abry) works completly on Sierra 10.2.2. You can use the Network, USB, HDMI and VGA. Everything is Hot-Pluggable a cheap 3rd party noname USB-C -> VGA adaptor didnt work you can charge the Dell with a generic USB-C Power Adaptor, but USB-C has only a maximum power of 100W, so it's either charging OR usage, not both. Dont forget you need a special USB-C cable (Power Delivery 3.0) for charging.
  10. Hi! This is my 1st tutorial for t3500 Dell. https://youtu.be/15AKmofoLAQ
  11. I used to have El Capitan and Windows 8 working on two separate drives perfectly for the most part and have had dual boot working great for years. For some reason after some time I started having strange issues while booting into either OS or having slow loadup speeds when booting onto mac side. So I decided while I had some free time I was going to do a full clean wipe of both the windows and mac ssd and start fresh. To summarize my installation process. Made a windows 10 (rufus GPT) and sierra usb install on two usb drives. Booted into sierra installer, wiped both ssd's with disk utility as Mac os Journaled and GUID, and then installed sierra. I get sierra working fine using Clover UEFI bootloader and I can boot from it without the need for the usb installer (aka clover is working fine) so I begin the windows install. I unplug all drives except the windows ssd and install windows onto that. I make sure I can boot into windows with no issues as well. Now here is where the problem occurs. I plug my drives back in, and my 3tb storage hdd is recognized just fine in windows and clover, however in clover I am not longer able to see my sierra ssd, but I can see the recovery partition for it. So I use the sierra install usb and check in disk utility and it seems like somehow after the windows install, my Sierra partition is being corrupted/wiped because under the ssd name the partition no longer says "Macintosh HD" but is being replaced with just "--" So somehow after the Windows install, the Sierra partition which is on a completely different ssd is being wiped out. I have tried this process 3+ times and the same thing keeps happening. I know I am not wiping the partition because the ssd is unplugged during the windows install. Only when I plug it back in and then try t boot from it or the sierra install usb do I realize that the partition is gone. So I am not sure what in the world could cause this but any input or ideas would be super appreciated because this has already taken up close to 24 hours of time spread across a few days trying to resolve and I am out of ideas and extremely stress because of this. Thank you! Relevant Specs: MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H on version F9 Two Samsung 840 EVO SSD's UPDATE: Plot twist... So since I already had windows installed and my sierra partition got removed somehow, I decided to just keep windows on their and install sierra afterwards. Once I did that, the same thing that was happening to sierra was happening to windows. And I cant boot to it via clover or any other method. So i checked and the only difference is the partition name still showed up in Disk Utility but it said that only 300mb of it was being used (it should be gigs of data since the OS was installed on it). So now Sierra works great but windows is borked. For some reason whenever I install one os, the other is getting destroyed and I have absolutely no idea why.
  12. Hi, I have so far managed to create a bootable USB with macOS Sierra on and I can't get to the install screen. I can boot to the flash drive and see the clover screen but then it won't boot to an install screen. My Laptop specs are. (Acer Aspire E14 (E5-411-C9KS)) Intel Celeron N2840 (Which apparently has an equivalent to HD Graphics 4000?) 4GB DDR3 L Memory. And the rest isn't important because it has integrated graphics but it is only classed as "Intel HD Graphics" and nothing else. I don't own a mac so I had to create the USB using a .raw file I downloaded which must work because it worked on the tutorial and I followed every step. I have pretty good knowledge of computers but no where near an expert. But if you need any more information, you will need to give me a clue on how to answer your question. Please don't comment if this is stupid or something, I'm only hear to get an answer and to get to the installation screen to install macOS Sierra. Thanks, Daniel
  13. No hokus pokus - No magic I am basically making this more current and simplifying it for people with HP Z800 wanting to run Sierra. With a bit more detail on the BIOS settings All credit really goes to: chatdeau, Rockey12 and ZoroZZ for helping out and creating the first topic on the HP Z series found here I am not sure who to credit for the kexts but a big THANK YOU to whoever you are! The HP Z series is very powerful and affordable computers which I simply think is a brilliant Hackintosh solution. I just named the USB Key Untitled as standard Then open terminal and run this command to create the USB key sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app Please note that this part of the command “/Volumes/Untitled” is the path to the USB key and if you have named it anything else than “Untitled” you will have to edit it with the name of your USB key. Once the command is done you have to install Clover which can be downloaded here Run the clover pkg and remember to “Change Install Location” to your usb. Then choose costumize and choose the following: - Bootloader - Install boot0af in MBR - CloverEFI - CloverEFI 64-bits SATA Once Clover is installed you will need to add the following Kexts (attached below) to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder on your USB Key. - AHCIPortInjector_v1.0.0_Micky1979.kext - FakeSMC_v6.16.1372_netkas.kext - IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector_v1.0.0_Micky1979.kext - NullCPUPowerManagement_v1.0.0d2_tgwbd.kext Step four – Boot to Installation Insert the USB key and start the computer. At the HP screen choose F9 to choose boot option. Then select USB drive When you are at the CLOVER screen you can choose options and in the boot arguments you should write use the –v bootflag to be able to see what is going on in case there is any errors. In my case I am using a ATI 5870 GPU and I don’t need to do anything as the ATI 5xxx series is supported but Mac OS X by default. If you have an Nvidia card you need to add the nv_disable=1 boot argument to avoid a black screen. Now run the installer as you would with any Mac and at the install screen you shall rund Disk Utility and format the drive you want to use as we did previously with the USB key. Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with GUID Partition Map. The installer will reboot the computer and when It starts again you need to hit F9 again select the USB key but this time at the Clover screen You need to choose your newly created Hard drive. The Installer will continue after this and boot one last time before booting in to the new system. Please note that you need to boot from the USB and choose the hard drive each time at the Clover screen. Step five – Make the OS bootable Once you are running your new OS you will need to install clover to that drive like we did previously on the USB key. Run the clover pkg and remember to “Change Install Location” to your hard drive. Then choose costumize and choose the following: - Bootloader - Install boot0af in MBR - CloverEFI - CloverEFI 64-bits SATA Once Clover is installed you will need to add these following Kexts found here to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder on you’re the OS X hard drive. If you have an Nvidia GPU you will need to install the web driver which is found here And use the nvda_drv=1 boot flag at the clover screen. You will need to add this to the config.plist ether manually or with clover configurator to avoid typing it in all the time. Enjoy your new powerful hackintosh. HP Z800 kexts Sierra.zip
  14. Hello everyone! This is my first post in these forums. I need help with my older Dell Dimension 3000 machine. This computer was previously a hackintosh with the same OS I believe. Right now, I am able to install the OS. The computer boots fine, until it gets stuck on "Still waiting for Root Devices" this occurs, no HDD activity, CD activity, etc. Please help!! Thank you! PS, if you know, please provide a list of kexts and drivers that I should use. Thanks !!
  15. Hi guys, this is my first desktop Hackintosh Specs are as follows: Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 NVIDIA Geforce 210 1024 MB VRAM When using NullCPU power management you can see the temps are really great. The performance is definitely better without that kext, but when I am using no NullCPU and use the Generate P and C states options in Clover, along with Drop OEM SSDT, temps go up to 60ºC all the time, whether it is heavy load or idling. I know the ssdtPRGen.sh doesnt work with this kind of CPU , which is not even properly recognized in mac.... What should I do to get some native CPU power management up on this baby? Thanks in advance. Here is my Clover folder CLOVER.zip
  17. I would love to hear about your beloved peripherals & accessories that you use on a standard basis with your Hackintosh. Personally, I cherish my Sony PS3 Bluetooth keyboard as a daily driver for my Hackintosh. It has the right size and all the necessary keys, it feels sturdy, it has great connectivity, and it just fits with my whole Mini ITX setup. And on top of that, its current price as new is around $15 - $20.
  18. PowerPC version of Mac OS X 10.1 released in 2001, running on a Hackintosh, which in fact is an ASUS X550L, this can be accomplished in any machine, but I use OS X 10.9 as my main system, and I am emulating every single version of OS X that I feel like hihihi All is done using QEMU, which when compiled from source can successfully emulate any Mac OS version that you want, any Linux, any Windows, any ARM OS heheh goood software. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2hqbYFSvKI You can also Download the Qemu 2.7-rc0 package for OSX from: http://www.open.ou.nl/hsp/downloads3/Qemu_2.7-rc0-OSX.zip More info and detailed instructions at: http://thegroovykosak.blogspot.pt/

  21. Introduction This guide should work for all HP Pavilion 15 Broadwell(5th gen) laptops. I used AB205TX. This is my first guide so please use comment section if I missed something. I have used Andres Zero Cross' guide and made changes to make it work for us. My Specifications Processor: i5 5200u Graphics: HD5500 and GT940m Display: 15.6" 1920x1080 Ram: 8Gb DDR3L Dual Booted with Windows 10 What’s not working: 1. Built-in WiFi (Can't! Obviously, use an external adapter) 2. GT 940m (MacOSX doesn’t support Nvidia optimus.) Prerequisites: 1. A Mac/Hackintosh/VM for making the install usb. 2. A pendrive 8GB or more. 3. Clover Configurator installed on machine you will use for making the install usb. Getting the Bios ready: 1. Disable virtualisation. 2. Disable Secure Boot. 3. Enable Legacy Mode. Use clover r3330. Nvram problems have been reported in some of the latest versions. I recommend version r3330 because it worked just fine for me. Making Install USB: RehabMan made a very detailed guide (mentioned below) on how to install clover on usb. While following his(did I just assume his gender? ) guide keep the following things in mind: The guide: https://www.tonymacx...-clover.148093/ 1.Follow the UEFI way and 2 partition method (not necessary but recommended) 2.When installing clover on "Clover Efi"partition use the following configuration - Install for UEFI booting Only - Install Clover in the ESP - For Drivers64UEFI (DataHubDxe-64, EmuVariableUefi-64, OsxAptioFixDrv-64, PartitonDxe-64) then click Install. Open Config.plist at your EFI Partition of USB Installer (EFI/Clover/) with Clover Configurator and match these use nv_disable only if you have a nvidia card with Intel HD using optimus technology. Note: In the below snap my MLB is not there. You will have one already filled, let it be and don't delete it. -Go to Clover EFI > EFI > Clover > Kexts > other > and paste FakeSMC.kext and VoodooPS2controller.kext in attachments. Delete rest of the kexts in the folder. Now, just boot from your USB and install. Installing Clover on HDD: 1.Install Clover on your hard disk and check - Install RC scripts on target volume - Install all RC Scripts on all other bootable volume - Optional RC Scripts 2.Mount EFI partition of USB Installer copy the Clover folder to EFI partition of your hard disk, thus replacing the Clover folder of your hard disk. I have attached my Post-Install Clover files in case you have hp pavilion 15 ab205tx or you need to see my config.plist My dsdt and ssdts should work for you if you have the same machine. Just copy the clover folder to your efi partition and update your bios to F.82 Rev.A from HP website. If you are using my clover folder as it is you probably don't need to apply any of these patches below as they are already enabled in my config.plist. Fixing Graphics: Open config.plist at your EFI/CLOVER/ on your hard drive with Clover Configurator and write these patches in "kextToPatch" at "Kernel and Kext Patches" - Name=AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, Find=4139C4763E, Replace=4139C4EB3E, Comment=“Unlocking framebuffer" - Name=AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, Find=39CF763C, Replace=39CF773C (Add this with the one above only If the above patch doesn't work alone) To activate HDMI Audio: - Name=AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, Find=02000001050B00000400000705000002040B00000400000705, Replace=02000001050B00000800000705000002040B00000400000705, Comment=“HDMI audio Fix" Now go to Graphics Section and in “ig-platforms-id" type 0x16260006 In the Boot you can uncheck verbose and kext-dev-mode=1 Open EFI partition on your HDD go to EFI > Clover > kexts > other > and delete all the kexts in it and replace them by ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext and FakeSMC.kext Fixing Audio For audio : https://redd.it/4e23w6 for ab205tx it is ALC290. I used Layout ID: 3 Reboot, now you have QE/CI for Intel HD 5500, Audio and Touchpad with gestures working. Fixing Performance: 1. Open up the config.plist of your HDD and choose a suitable SMBIOS. Generally its the one with similar processor. I used Macbook Pro(12,1). Follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-how-to-configure-your-systems-smbios-correctly.198155/ 2. You will need to enable Native power management to get the most performance out of your machine. Follow this Guide: https://www.tonymacx...laptops.175801/ Fixing Battery: 1. After you have enabled Native Power Management you can disable Nvidia card for OSX to get more battery backup as the card draws power even though it is not supported on os x. Follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx...laptops.163772/ Note: after disabling Nvidia you can boot without nv_disable=1 and remember to drop oem ssdt after patching your own. 2. To get a working battery status follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx...-status.116102/ Hotkeys: Volume and music hotkeys should work out of the box for us. Brightness hotkeys however don't. You need to do some patching to get them working like volume keys but, that's too much work for something such small. To make them work just go to syetem prefs>keyboard>shortcut and change brightness shortcuts to fn+f2 and fn+f3 depending on your machine. Now you have brightness keys working just press fn and then the keys to change brightness. Fixing Internet/AppStore/iMessage/Facetime: I use External USB adapter to connect to Wifi. Note: Use latest wifi driver for the USB adapter(the cd included with the adapter often has outdated drivers). Old drivers caused kernel panics for me. If USB wifi adapters are costly in your country or ones from good brands aren't available you can use Leoxsys usb wifi adapters which were the only ones that worked for me among all the cheap Chinese products I could find. You might notice that you are unable to sign into you Apple Id in AppStore and iMessage. This is because Apple collects some data while you sign in which we provide using our SMBIOS but that's not enough. We need ethernet set en0 and most importantly it should be shown as builtin, which is not possible for us as our ethernet/Wifi cards aren't supported. RehabMan came up with an excellent way to solve the problem. He faked ethernet device that shows up as onboard ethernet, this is possible by adding a device in DSDT. Solution: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Null-Ethernet Sync time between windows and mac: If you are dual booting like me, you may find that windows or osx shows incorrect time. for that follow this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/?do=findComment&comment=2020591 Credits: Hackintosh community and all those whose guides I linked. Specially RehabMan and Andres. HAPPY HACKING! My Clover Folder : http://jmp.sh/v/GiIDIGWQe7k9IaT3uvnY kexts.zip

EFI Folder.rar
