  2. I have started a triple boot installation on an old PC with BIOS (not UEFI). Every OS is on a separate SSD drive. Hardware ASUS P6T SE i7 920 12GB RAM ASUS GTX 680 2 X SSD OCZ Agility 60GB 1 X SSD Kingston 240GB OS MacOS Sierra Windows 8 (The Windows was already installed on the Kingston SSD and just used that to repair the MBR) Ubuntu 14.04 LTS MacOS I stared by setting BIOS (AHCI, Virtualization etc.); disabled all drives but the one for MacOS; installed MacOS; MacOS post installation with ##### and clover bootloader in legacy mode installed on the SSD. Everything worked after some kext struggling and I have my Sierra hackintosh ready with Clover bootloader legacy installed. Windows Then I plugged the Windows 8 SSD; repaired the MBR and BCD; plugged the Clover/MacOS drive and Clover was able to start and boot the Windows 8 SSD with no issues. Ubuntu I did just the same for Ubuntu; disabled all drives but the one for Ubuntu; made the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS USB drive; started the installation; I selected "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" on the "Installation type" screen; got the setup finished and did the exact same thing, plugged all 3 SSDs with the BIOS set to boot from Clover/MacOS drive; Clover sees the Ubuntu drive but when I am selecting to boot from it, it just shows the clover Linux drive icon on the center of the screen until I hit escape and it returns back on the Clover boot selection screen. I did some searching and reading and tried to reinstall Ubuntu with a separate /boot partition; that did not work and I have clover with the exact same behavior. I also read that if you have a BIOS motherboard, then Ubuntu it will detect this and it will install in BIOS/Legacy mode but I am not sure if that is the case and that I should do something else to have the Ubuntu installed in BIOS/Legacy mode. Does anyone have a clue what I should do to have the Ubuntu to boot from Clover? EDIT: After a lot of Ubuntu reinstalling, it now shows the purple GRUB screen when selecting Linux from Clover menu, but it hangs there.
  3. Install Mac Osx El Capitan on Galaxy Book 12. Why did I choose ElCapitan and not HighSierra? Simple. From El Capitan release 10.11 + (so mac os Sierra and High Sierra) Apple has eliminated from HID event driver, pressure, tilt, Stylus position! Having this device for artistic purposes, I decided that El Capitan would be the best in this field. If you do not need a pen to draw, but just for taking notes or simple things, you can safely install Os High Sierra! That has Native support to KabyLake. Let's go to the elcapitan installation procedure! Just delete the usb and install the captain using the Createinstallmedia method. Only use FakeSmc and VoodooPs2Kext and config HD620spoof.plist. Obviously in driver64, add HFSplus. (Search these files on Google for the latest version, very important thing) Made this install el capitan on disk. What Works Cpu and Gpu: They seem to be recognized by the system and it seems to be okay! (To run the Gpu, put Fakepciid and Fakepci id graphics in the Other, Clover folder) Trackpad: Still to be fixed, but with Voodoops2 it seems to work (The trackpad is not a PS2 device, but for the moment use this kext, looking forward to fix this in the future) Bluetooth Not working (but updating) Audio Brightness Battery Wifi (not supported) Updating AcpiTables.zip

  5. Hi fellows of this great forum. I am currently learning some programming so my time to investigate on hardware for my beloved good old Hack is very little. Specs are as follows: Gigabyte EP45 UD3LR (LGA775) Intel Core Quad Q6600 Custom case made out of a 1995 Pentium and some acrylic. 6GB RAM NVIDIA Geforce 210 1GB BCM94360CD with custom PCI adapter WiFi and Bluetooth working awesome Artic CPU Cooler with Heatsink 2 yellow 20" fans Custom made power button I would like to upgrade its CPU and its GPU, to the maximum of its capabilities, with Mac OS X compatibility. 7. So i'm trying to install OSX 10.4 Tiger (patched for intel cpus) on a 9 year old laptop, so far i've burnt a DVD and tried to boot from it, when not starting with -v it loads and then a prohibited sign shows up, and when starting with -v it keeps saying "still waiting for root device", i've tried multipile fixes and none of them work, and im sure there isnt a problem with the computer as it also fails to boot on my core 2 duo machine, so is it possible one of you guys knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
  8. ATI Radeon X1600 Pro - 5MB VRAM issue

Hello there, I'm relatively new to the Hackintosh community. It's certainly not the first time someone has had a problem like this, but I thought I'd post it. So, about a month ago, I picked up an HP Pavilion computer I had lying around from 2009, and I thought I'd try turning it into a Hackintosh just for kicks and giggles, so I knew what it was like before I tried installing it on my main PC. I'm using Clover as the bootloader. Here are the specs: MS-7525 motherboard Pentium Dual Core E5200 2.5ghz ASUS ATI Radeon X1600 Pro Silent 512MB (device ID = 71c3) 4GB DDR2 RAM 800mhz Seagate 320GB HDD macOS Sierra seemed to return a kernel panic, probably because SSE 4.2 support is not present on the E5200 if I recall correctly. El Capitan seemed to boot fine though, and I installed it. To my surprise, it booted on the first try. So I did some post-installation with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] to get the audio working and the bootable hard drive. So here I am, on El Capitan 10.11. The only issue I'm still facing is the graphics card. Sure, it might be old, but I heard some people got it working with full QE/CI. The thing is, it tells me it only has 5MB of VRAM. As a consequence, there are numerous screen artifacts (especially on logon, it's awful to watch), major slowdowns, no DVD playing support apparently, and most importantly, no QE/CI. Things I've tried: -FakeID -MacLovin's Guide -Reinstalling OSX -Custom kexts I'm hopeful about the DSDT thing, but I don't know what it is or how it works. What should I do at this point? Should I try fixing it or straight up downgrade to an earlier version of OSX? Thanks in advance

Hey Everyone, I'm proud to say that I've built my first hackintosh and I've got everything working great! I had some trouble getting the Internal graphics to work but thats probably just because I'm a bit of a newbie. This was a great learning curve for me and I'm already planning my next build, this was alot of fun! specs: CPU: i5 6600k CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Mobo: Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI (ATX) RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB HD: 250GB Seagate Barracuda PSU: Corsair CS series 650w GPU: (Internal Graphics for now) Case: Deep Cool Tesseract haven't tried iMessage or signing into the app store yet, tbh kinda sketched to do that since I dont want my account to get deactivated or something since I have alot of legit apple products. If anyone is building a similar system and has any questions just message me, i'd be happy to help. anyways heres some pics! cheers,
  11. Dell Inspiron 7560 - Compatible?

Hey everyone This is my first post - sorry if this is in the wrong place. Getting a new laptop for university and I want one in which I can run macOS on it. Currently looking at this one - http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/dell-inspiron-15-7000-15-6-laptop-silver-10153659-pdt.html I understand that intel network chips are incompatible but I plan to get an m.2 network card that works (or USB) if the rest of the system works. I also know that the laptop nvidia graphics cards dont work but I dont plan on doing any heavy tasks on osx, I plan to do that on Windows. - I can just use the onboard Intel HD 620 Graphics Can anyone help me and tell me if I can run Mac on this - would be greatly appreciated. (I have experience with AMD Hackintosh, but I suppose it is pretty different) Thank you

Grazie.

  15. Hi, my setup worked fine until today: i7 4770k with 970 GTX. I use Sierra 10.12.5 and latest nvidia web-drivers 378.05.05.15f01 and EmuVariableUefi-64 in latest Clover (4097). As I said, everything worked fine since the release of those drivers but today, out of nowhere, my screen is blinking black about every second or so I thought the GPU was experiencing a problem so I reinstalled the drivers, same problem. I then booted into software mode and the problem disappears. Everything seems to indicate a problem with the GPU but when I boot into windows 10, the GPU works fine... Just yesterday, my hackintosh was working fine. Tried Lilu.kext and nvidiagraphicsfixup.kext but nothing's changed. Anyone had the same experience? A clue? EDIT: SOLVED! Solution: Use another port from the GPU
  16. Hi guys..I sucessfully installed Sierra 10.12.5 & Windows as a DualBoot..Im interested in trying macOS High Sierra..Im using an AMD FX 8320 Processor..Do we know when the beta kernel will come out ?

  19. Hi Everyone, it's been about 5 years since The HACKINBEAST (my prior hackintosh Dual CPU / Triple GPU PC build). Introducing The ULTRABEAST! It was a 2+ year project that was finally finished about 3 months ago. Unfortunately for whatever reason it has now stopped working. The initial install when Andrew Kern (RampageDev.com) and I used (El Capitan) worked fine. The only problem though was it would freeze every 2 to 3 hours and I'd have to retstart my system. It only happened when I used all 3 x 28" 4K monitors that are caused the freezing issue. When I ran one 28" 4K monitor it never froze, using El Captain, but when using 3 x 4K monitors together, it when the freezing issue happened every 2 to 3 hours. After several months of going back and forth figuring out what the issue was, Andrew felt it may be a possible memory leak in the 980 Ti GPU's. We had to wait for an Nvidia to supply an update. Andrew reached out me to let me know about the update (in April). We installed it and also updated to Sierra, the screen went black after seeing the Apple logo and stop working altogether. Andrew was tied up with work and couldn't get back to me until a week later, then emailed me a text that he got from someone saying: "I fixed the Nvidia problem, it was BIOS related, in the video op ROM. I had selected UEFI, thing is if you put it back to Legacy the GPU work and now I'm running on Nvidia drivers again." I went into my BIOS to try to find where my OpRoM was. It was located in my PCIe/PCI/PnP Config menu. This is what I saw: Launch Storage OpROM Policy [uEFI only] Launch Video OpROM Policy [uEFI only] and set them BOTH on Legacy. Launch Storage OpROM Policy [Legacy only] Launch Video OpROM Policy [Legacy only] Looking at it NOW (and I do mean now) that may have been my issue, as I probably should've only changed the Video OpROM and not the Storage OpROM, but didn't realize that until I just now saw this as I was writing it. In any case with many attempts to get this working properly Andrew hasn't responded to me yet. Until I find a resolve to this issue, I'm pretty much stuck with an $8500 system, but with simple case and fan cooling setup, you can build it yourself for around $2,500 to $4,000. As you can probably tell by the photos, quite a bit of time went into this build. This was the first PETG tubing build I ever did. I'm also wondering if maybe it's the GPU's that need to be updated to the 1080 TI's or Titan X (Maxwell) GPUs? I don't even know if the 980Ti's, 1080 Ti's or Titans X's can work together and in SLI mode. I've seen builds with them working (as you can find completed builds to purchase on eBay). It doesn't matter now as my Mobo was giving a "B2" (error) that won't allow me to go back into my BIOS to change anything. Supermicro's tech support (and it was quite a few guys I spoke with in that dept) said it could be a RAM module or issue with an external part (i.e., GPU, CPU), or it could be one of the module RAM or GPU slots not working anymore. I have since packed up my Mobo and shipped it to their repairs dept. I will be receiving my Mobo back within about 2 weeks. Here's my system set up: Motherboard : SuperMicro X9DAi-O RAM: 128GB (16 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 MHz PC3-10600R ECC (Uprgraded to Samsung 128GB DDR3-1600 ECC RAM that were tested for this particular Mobo) CPU: 2 x E5-2697 v2 Intel (Water Blocked) GPU: 2 x 980 Ti 6GB (Water Blocked) (Upgraded to 2 x Titan X Maxwell 12GB) PSU: EVGA 1600 P2 Monitors: 3 x Asus MG28UQ 28" 4K Thanks for taking the time to read this and please let me know if any of you have any thoughts about any of what I just shared. Hope you like the Geekbench as well as the Cinebench Scores. Now all I care about right now is that the machine works. Can't wait to get the Mobo back to test everything out. Here's a video link showing the ULTRABEAST, enjoy the vid and throw a like on it, and subscribe to my YouTube channel, thanks…

  21. Hey all. I asked this very question in a thread on (only mentioning this site in the context of my question here, since I know your history with them) TonyMacx86, and their moderator RehabMan, despite my asking him not to, only redirected me to the laptop FAQ / install guide. So, I'll ask here. NO I'm not asking for TMx86 support. Just because I mention them doesn't mean I'm looking for help with their way of doing things. Has anyone here attempted to hackintosh the ASUS ZenBook (UX510UW-RB71)? I do not have this laptop yet, so please don't do what "they" do and redirect me to a guide I cannot use. Here are its specs: ASUS ZenBook UX510UW-RB71 Intel Skylake Core i7-6500U (2.5GHz - 3.1GHz) Processor 15.6" Full HD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare Display 16GB DDR4 2133MHz Memory 1TB Hard Drive NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M (4GB) GDDR5 Graphics Card Wireless 802.11AC + Bluetooth 4.1 Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) Illuminated Chiclet Keyboard I'm aware that it's got Optimus graphics, and I'm also aware that Optimus as of my posting this thread (June 2017) does not work under Mac OS X on non Apple hardware. I know I'd have to disable via DSDT the NVIDIA GPU and resort to the HD 520 iGPU. I'm also aware that the Intel WiFi/BT card would have to be swapped out if I want it functional under OS X. All I'm asking is WHETHER OR NOT (sorry for the caps but the TMx86 ppl are so inept when a question like this is asked) ANYONE HERE has ATTEMPTED to hackintosh this particular model of laptop? Thanks, Shiggitay
  22. Installation not working

Hello! I put a raw image on an USB stick and tried to boot OS X vanilla installation on my Acer Aspire VX15. The problem is that it's always showing ,,This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform Reason: Mac-F22788AA". I tried to change the SMBios to iMac15,1 but still doesn t work...what can I do? Thanks!
  23. Hi guys, i and my friends are trying to get mac os high sierra to work, the first good news is that high sierra can be installed on hfs+, so for now we do not need drivers for the new file system in clover (but it will be helpful if clover developers add support for them), then, we are trying to get it to boot, at first attempt there is always the problem of mac kexts non injecting, so for now we need some fix in clover, we are trying to get the prelinked kernel with fake smc injected, form a mac to get to boot the system, we could do that so fast thanks to the fact that i own a developer account (if you are asking, i use it to distribute apps, not just for beta software), so we will keep you updated EDIT: Thanks to the new clover releases you do not need special stuff to get it to work, you just need the apps.efi driver in the clover's drivers 64 uefi folder to get it to boot on APFS (don't use apfs on a standard hard disk, use it only on ssd), for web drivers on the dp 3 some the web driver from 10.12.6 modified with nvidia driver updater seems to work, and seems to be a native kabylake support too
  24. Finished installing Yosemite on my Alienware x51 and as soon as I boot into it, it stops and gets stuck on "APRT cannot assert wake from D3cold". No matter if I put it in safe mode, single-user mode, and use different combinations of boot flags I cannot get past it. Can you please help me? SPECS: Intel Core i7 Nvidia GT 545 1GB That's about all the specs I know. I can look into it if you need more specs.
  25. Toshiba Satellite L755 1j2 Hackintosh Download This file. It contains the zip file with everything you need for the installation. • A Toshiba Satellite L755 1j2– This is necessary to install macOS Sierra for this tutorial • A copy of Mac OS X – This can be in the form of an existing hackintosh, a virtual machine within Windows or Linux, or even a regular Mac. If you don’t have any of these things, then find someone who can help you out for a while. I prefer using a hackintosh with OSX El Capitan, Using an already working copy of Mac OS X either in a VM or a native hackintosh install is HIGHLY recommended. • A 8GB USB flash drive (or larger) – We’ll be copying the files to the drive appropriately, so make sure that you have a flash drive with enough storage space (8GB or larger). A copy of macOS Sierra – The method used by this guide requires that you have a copy of the macOS Sierra Installation app, wich is available for free from the Mac App Store. This is for an clean install. 1. My Specs My installation was successfully done on an Toshiba Satellite L755-1J2 laptop computer with the following specs. • Intel Core i7 (2nd Gen) 2670QM / 2.2 GHz • 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM • Western Digital 250GB HDD • NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M - 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM • Mobile Intel HM65 Express • Atheros AR9285 wifi+bt 3.0 2. Download OS X Sierra • Download macOS Sierra from the Mac App Store. • Once macOS Sierra is downloaded, close the install pop-up that appears using Command (⌘)+Q. • The application INSTALL macOS Sierra will appear in /Applications • Done! 3. Prepare bootable USB Installer Note on flash drives: You will need a USB flash drive to make this work. Your USB should be at least 8G. Now, we need to prepare the USB Drive so that it will properly bootup on your PC. Make sure that the disk you choose to use doesn't contain anything that you want to keep, because the following tutorial will delete everything on the drive. • Open Finder - Applications and right-click on Install macOS Sierra and select Show Package Contents. • Open Contents - Resources. • Open a Terminal window thru Applications - Utilities - Terminal. • In the Terminal window type sudo followed by a space. • Drag the createinstallmedia file from the finder window opened in Step 4 to the Terminal Window. • Type --volume followed by a space. • Connect your USB drive and drag the USB drive into the Terminal Window.• Type --applicationpath in the Terminal followed by a space. • Open Finder - Applications and drag the Install macOS Sierra into the Terminal Window. • Press Return on the keyboard to submit the full command. • Type a 'Y' to continue when prompted to do so, and press Return on your keyboard • The install process will begin by erasing the contents of your USB disk and copying the installer files to the USB disk.
