onmybikedrunk posted a topic in OSx86 10.11 (El Capitan)Over the past month I've come across multiple postings about this, but really wanted to begin to dig deep to try and understand what the next steps, if any, could be in solving this scenario: Getting El Capitan running semi-stable on X99 with a 5960X 8-core Processor. I think that there are plenty of us out there based on passed posts/responses by Stinga11 (respect), Rampage Dev (respect), and even heavy hitters getting involved such as Pike R. Alpha, Toleda (respect respect) etc... So I myself am NOT a coder, programmer or UNIX guru BY ANY MEANS, but can follow directions well and am open to helping in any way I can. I'm hoping this thread will attract those than can actually do some good for 5960X users. From what I understand it's the fact that the rollback AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.9.5 is causing the issue and cannot be prelinked with the current El Capitan kernel. Does this mean we have to wait for Apple to add support for X99/C612 chipsets? Anyone with insight on this issue from a technical perspective would be greatly appreciated by any/all 5960X owners.
