  1. Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here. First of all, big thanks to each and everyone here for providing and advancing solutions, sharing knowledge and making it possible to have a f**king solid, reliable and all around working hackintosh! Just by reading through threads i was able to get a completely satisfying setup: Working sleep, audio, pm, usb3, handoff/continuity, imessage, you name it. Unfortunately recently I came across a new and rather unique problem: A couple of weeks ago I bought a new monitor, equipped with Nvidias G-Sync. To my knowledge this was only available on windows and perfectly acceptable because i use windows for games anyways and macOS primarily for work related stuff. Installing the release version of Sierra and the newest web drivers however shows a G-Sync tab in the Nvidia preference pane. But here begin the problems. If i tick the G-Sync box and (re)start the computer, the screen goes to black after the first boot stage (which for a brief period of time is expected behaviour in many configurations with nvidia cards i guess) but after that the monitor shows a no connected inputs message. These are a couple of ways i found out to still successfully boot Sierra: disable nvidia drivers completely (nv_disable=1, which leads to completely choppy graphics and an unusable system, with my 780ti at least) set to default os x driver in the nvidia preference pane (which leads to slightly reduced performance and no g-sync) Shutting off the monitor before (re)starting and only turning it on again after the os is booted up. (this is also the only way for me to enable G-Sync on mac os, indicated by red monitor led) Note: Only deactivating G-Sync but keeping Nvidias alternate drivers still results in the monitor going black. For os x 10.11, I used this guide to fix the second stage bootlogo showing up correctly. This in combination with the new monitor caused similar behaviour in 10.11. Not every but every other restart the screen stayed black. Removing these changes from clover config fixed this problem for 10.11. Note: G-Sync seems to be only available in 10.12 even with latest drivers in 10.11. in Sierra with default os drivers, the bootlogo and progress bar show up correctly anyways but the black screen, which forces a reset if i forgot to turn off the monitor beforehand is becoming a real annoyance. Not using nvidias alternate drivers and losing performance is also not an option in the long run. Things I have already tried: having an additional display connected changing the initial display output in bios. booting verbose, without cache (booting in safe mode works obviously because nvidia drivers do not load) (re)applying the guide from this topic. completely reinstalling nvidia drivers on windows and macOS side. (nvidia drivers and G-Sync setting on windows seem to have a slight impact on all this but i might be wrong..) modifying AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext's info.plist for iMac 14,2 similar to AGDPfix.app the automatic login settings in os x might also have an impact on this (at least on 10.11) I probably missed one or two things but either way i am pretty much out of ideas now. I could try another SMBIOS but with imessage working so well and iMac 14,2 being the best fit for my hardware this seems like unnecessary effort. Moreover, maybe because Sierra is still pretty new and G-Sync support for macOS is pretty new, i should give nvidia and apple more time. An update in a couple of weeks might fix this. But I think this is quite optimistic. I also don't want to completely rule out that this is my monitors fault. I really hope it is not because i bought it well over a month ago so if anyone has a similar but completely working setup, please let me know! Any suggestions on what i could try next are very welcome! If console or ioreg output, my dsdt, clover cfg or anything else might be of use for someone, please also let me know. Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading it!! Some more info: Bootloader: Clover (updated very recently) SMBIOS: iMac 14,2 OsxAptioFix2 driver DSDT patched with Pjalm's fixes for this board. X58A-UD3R no shutdown

I vanilla installed Sierra, using CHris1111's USB installer and Realtek81xx.kext and Voodoo.pkg. Everything works fine except shutdown . Need some help there. I discovered that when I close alle windows and log off (and in again) and immediately {censored} down it works oké. But when open a app and shutdown, the led keeps burning and the fans keep turning. Under Mavericks I used a edited DSDT. Will this work under Sierra as well? Since I'm new to Clover ... what do I have to do to make the DSDT working? Anyone familiar with this problem (and solution)? grtz
  3. Buenas... Hey All, I'm having some difficulties installing (and booting) macOS Sierra on my computer. I seem to have some weird Kernel Panic that I have never seen before and I have tried a bunch of different boot flags, and different install routes. I also tried installing El Captain but the exact same thing happened. Consider My PC Specs: Acer Aspire T: ATC-605-ER34 Intel i7-4770 Processor Nvidia GT 730 Graphics Card 8 Gigabytes of RAM Both my Sound and Wifi cards are not compatible with Mac OS, so I have external USB adapters for that. My computer is Running 3 Operating Systems: Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite (2 Copies of this, one is an old version I have yet to delete.) Windows 10 Currently, I have Clover as my boot loader and booting I am using the boot flags dart=0 and nv_disable=1 and it is Injecting Nvidia. There is nothing put in the SMBIOS section, other than iMac 14,2 as the product name. I should be able to respond pretty quickly if anyone has any questions. I hope someone can help me out, thanks.
  5. Hi, I am having two problems with Sierra. (Final official release from AppStore). 1. My onboard desktop Intel HD 4600 is not working anymore by clover's injection method (it was working perfectly on previous systems like Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan). For some reasons with same kexts and config.plist with latest clover I am having reboots soon after I reach DSMOS HAS ARRIVED. I noticed that giving lg-platform-id: 0x04128086 stops the rebooting. But my video card is recognized as Intel HD 4600 with 7mb vram. No acceleration. Before I reinstalled OSX I checked what is my ID on working El Capitan by DPCIManager, and it also said it is 0x04128086. I tried few different ID's found on the web, but nothing seems to help. I even tried solution with FakeID kexts. Problem remains the same. 2. My audio card is not working by the same injection method as it was working on El Capitan and Yosemite. I always installed my audio in post process using this app "Clover OS X El Capitan-V7". I know its novice solution, but previously was working perfectly for me with minimal effort. My specs are: MB: MSI B85-G43 Sc CPU: i5-4570 Mem: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro GPU: Intel HD 4600 (I'm connecting Monitor to PC via DVI-HDMI cable) Audio: ALC892 (previously was working on ID 1 after patching AppleHDA with given app) I used latest clover, and I am of course installing everything using UEFI (EFI Partition). I will attach everything I have in my EFI. Any suggestions guys? Thanks My EFI Stuff.zip
  6. This is the simplest barebones macOS Sierra 10.12 feasibility test for UEFI x64 Skylake Architectures (possibly others too). The purpose of this tutorial is to give you a starting point for fiddling with your installation in order to make it work on your to-be Hackintosh computer. It's much easier to tweak an external USB or HDD on your real Mac, rather than failing your Hackintosh's internal HDD installation every time you try something new. A) Download macOS Sierra from the App Store on your Mac. Insert a Flash Disk or an External HDD with at least 16GB on one of your Mac's USB ports. C) Run Install macOS Sierra.app from Applications folder, and perform the installation on your USB disk. D) After some time you will reach the Language Selection screen. Now, shutdown your Mac. E) Boot once more to your original Mac's desktop. F) Download the latest Clover from this link, and perform the installation on your USB disk. G) After the installation, you will find your EFI partition mounted. Navigate to EFI/CLOVER. H) Place FakeSMC.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12, and overwrite config.plist with the one from this guide. I) Unmount your USB disk and insert it on your Hackintosh. J) Perform a Load UEFI Defaults on your BIOS and from the Boot Menu select your UEFI: USB disk. K) If all goes well you will be welcomed to your new Hackintosh. On a different occasion post your output and someone might be able to help you. Universal_macOS_Sierra_USB_v2.zip
  7. Hello everybody. I'm about to go to bed, so it'll be a bit before I reply unless someone offers a solution. My latest in a sea of seemingly-infinite problems is that 3rd party programs seem to crash the system, forcing a reboot after locking up. This has occurred with FL Studio 12 Mac Alpha, Pro Tools|First, and ROBLOX. Other than that, I'm about ready to write a success story!

    SSD seen as HD?

Hello everybody, I have just successfully finished installing Sierra on my old GA-G31M-ES2L Gigabyte board. Everything works wonderfully minus one little thing I can't understand... I was trying to enable trim as my system drive is a Kingston SSD when I noticed that the SSD is, actually, not seen as a SSD. That is quite funny. It is super speedy as always but under its info in disk utility there is a flag stating "solid state: no". Checking the system report there is also no info regarding trim that makes me think the SSD is recognized as a HD. I'll attach two pics showing that. I may be missing something but I can't understand as it was correctly recognized under El Capitan and I've tweaked only a few things after upgrading. Anyone can help? I looked up on google but I can only find people who can't get their SSD to be recognized at all but no one having a similar problem. Thank you very much. BTW, I am using: GA-G31M-ES2L mobo Intel Core Duo 2,93 GHz CPU 4 GB 800 MHz RAM Kingston SSD V300 120GB and I only have installed Clover and its basic drivers64 + NTFS FakeSMC RealtekRTL8111 Mirone's patched AppleHDA

Requirements Here are the requirements: A Dell Latitude E6320 – This is necessary to install macOS Sierra for this tutorial A copy of Mac OS X – This can be in the form of an existing hackintosh, a virtual machine within Windows or Linux, or even a regular Mac. If you don’t have any of these things, then find someone who can help you out for a while. I prefer using a hackintosh with OSX El Capitan, Using an already working copy of Mac OS X either in a VM or a native hackintosh install is HIGHLY recommended. A 8GB USB flash drive (or larger) – We’ll be copying the files to the drive appropriately, so make sure that you have a flash drive with enough storage space (8GB or larger). A copy of macOS Sierra – The method used by this guide requires that you have a copy of the macOS Sierra Installation app, wich is available for free from the Mac App Store. 30-60 minutes of time – Depending on how tech-savvy you are, this may be quick, or it may take a while. An SSD or HDD to install 10.12 to – For me, I used a 500GB HDD to install 10.12 to. An Wireless N Nano USB Adaptor – For use with wifi Highly recommended. I use a TP-LINK TL-WN725N adaptor. E6320_V2.zip – This ZIP file contains everything that you need to get your flash drive properly prepared. 3. Download OS X Sierra Download macOS Sierra from the Mac App Store. Once macOS Sierra is downloaded, close the install pop-up that appears using Command (⌘)+Q. The application INSTALL macOS Sierra will appear in /Applications Done! 5. Prepare bootable USB Installer Note on flash drives: You will need a USB flash drive to make this work. Your USB should be at least 8GB and a USB 3.0 drive is preferred. Kingston sells an 8GB USB 3.0 drive for less than 10 euro. Now, we need to prepare the USB Drive so that it will properly bootup on your PC. Make sure that the disk you choose to use doesn't contain anything that you want to keep, because the following tutorial will purge everything on the drive. Open Finder - Applications and right-click on Install macOS Sierra and select Show Package Contents. Open Contents - Resources. Open a Terminal window thru Applications - Utilities - Terminal. In the Terminal window type sudo followed by a space. Drag the createinstallmedia file from the finder window opened in Step 4 to the Terminal Window. Type --volume followed by a space. Connect your USB drive and drag the USB drive into the Terminal Window. Type --applicationpath in the Terminal followed by a space. Open Finder - Applications and drag the Install macOS Sierra into the Terminal Window. Press Return on the keyboard to submit the full command. Type a 'Y' to continue when prompted to do so, and press Return on your keyboard The install process will begin by erasing the contents of your USB disk and copying the installer files to the USB disk. The entire process is quite lengthy; it can takes around 15-30 minutes, so you will need to show some patience 6. Run iMessage debug on a iMac, Macbook, etc and make a copy and paste of the Terminal output. Open Clover Configurator. Mount EFI Partition. Import config.plist from EFI/EFI/Clover (File , import configuration, browse to config.plist and select). In Clover Configurator Click on RT Variables, Enter Rom and MLB Values from iMessage output from valid iMac device. Save changes to config.plist. Reboot, Sign into iMessage. iMessage and FaceTime should now both be working. 21. BOOT 0 Error If you are using a 4k HDD you can get boot:0 error, to solve this issue do the following. Reboot system back into Sierra installer (USB)FLASH DRIVE). Run Disk Utility find the Disk Identifier (eg. disk0s2). Unmount the drive you installed Sierra on. Launch Terminal and execute the following command: dd if=/usr/standalone/i386/boot1h of=/dev/disk0s2. Exit Terminal. Boot Normally. Run macOS Sierra 10.12 E6320.pdf

  12. This follows my previous guide for El Capitan. 0. What works and does not Works - CPU power management - QE/CI on Integrated Intel HD 4000 - Keyboard/Trackpad - HDMI and LVDS output - Audio: Headphone, speaker, HDMI. - Ethernet - Camera - Battery info - Bluetooth - USB Does NOT work - Internal Wifi. Workaround: USB wifi or replace your internal wifi with a supported mPCI-e card. - Sleep: does not work with an USB wifi. Workaround: Replace your internal wifi with a supported card. - VGA out. Workaround: Use an « active » HDMI to VGA adapter. I use this way to connecting my laptop to projectors. - Discrete AMD GPU - Card reader. Workaround: Use an external USB card reader. 1. Specs My Dell Inspiron 15R SE has the following specs: - Intel Core i7 3632QM with Intel HD Graphic 4000 - 8GB + 4GB RAM (12GB total) - 128GB Samsung EVO SSD + 1TB HDD - AMD Radeon 7730M, won't be used by any Hackintosh build - Full HD 15.4" screen 2. Requirements - A Dell 7520, of course - An USB Stick, minimum 8GB. Any 8GB should work. - A pair of USB Mouse / Keyboard during the installation and fixes (you can use your built in keyboard and touchpad later) - An existing Hackintosh (or a real Mac, if you have any ) If you don't, I suggest to start from lower versions (or use Hackintosh Zone Yosemite distro as your base, follow my previous short guide) - Downloaded «Install macOS Sierra» from App Store. - A GPT-partitioned hard drive. This is required since El Capitan (and was not the case with Yosemite). - A 20GB (minimum) partition as the target. - MacPwn 3. Create USB Install. For full guide please see here - Boot your existing Hackintosh or real Mac. - First you need to be sure that you have downloaded the app «Install macOS Sierra» from App Store. - Use Disk Utilities to partition your USB stick with 1 partition in GPT mode, and choose «OS X Extended (Journaled)» as partition type. Note: don't use any space in label of your disk. - Run MacPwn. - Press Continue. Then Continue and Continue. Agree the license agreement. Change Install Location, then Install to Specific Disk and choose your USB stick. Click Customize to choose your desired boot loader. I prefer Chameleon. Finally, Install. - Be patient. It's quite slow. - Reboot after finishing creating you USB for installation. 4. Install - During boot, press F12 to have boot list. Choose your USB to start. Use 'IntelCapriFB=4' to boot the installation. - It should boot directly to the installation UI. Choose language. - On top menu, select Utilities and Disk Utility. - Format your target partition as OS X Extended (Journaled). - Exit Disk utility. - Select Install, choose your newly formatted partition. Follow the instruction. Wait for a while (in my case I waited around 10 minutes). - It will restart your computer as soon as it finishes the file copy. - You still need to boot from USB. Hit F12 during boot to show boot list. Choose your USB to start. Use 'IntelCapriFB=4', select your installed partition and press Enter. - You will be able to see user creation. Follow the instructions on screen. When you get to your desktop, welcome to macOS Sierra! 5. Fix boot loader Clover is a nice bootloader for macOS Sierra. Get latest version from Sourceforge, install it into ESP, choose boot0ss while installing. 6. Device fixes 6.1. Built-in trackpad and keyboard Download EMlyDinEsH's Smart Touchpad kext, version 4.6.5 and install it with any kext utility. Don't forget to remove any ApplePS2 kext in your /System/Library/Extensions 6.2. Intel HD 4000 for HDMI output - I've successfully finished patching AppleIntelFramebufferCapri to support both LVDS and HDMI at the same time. Delete /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext and use the attached one instead - Note: add (or change) IntelCapriFB=3 in your Clover's config.plist. 6.3. Audio VoodooHDA works for me. I use version 2.8.8. Simply download it and install it with your Kext utility. 6.4. CPU Power Management Works fine with macOS Sierra (official version) as long as you use ssdtPRGen.sh as instructed here 6.5. Ethernet Simply install this KingMaker's Realtek RTL8111-8168 kext with any of your kext utility and reboot, you will have ethernet working! 6.6. Screen Brightness and Disable AMD GPU Use provided SSDT/DSDT to fix screen brightness and to disable the discrete AMD 7730M GPU for better power consumption. 6.7. Battery info By default you will not be able to see Battery info. Install RehabMan's ACPI Battery Driver will fix this. 6.8. Wifi The integrated wifi doesn't work. At all. I used an external wifi dongle TP Link WN725N (v2) for Internet access. After that I replaced the internal wifi with a Atheros AR5B29 and it works natively
  13. So here I am, admitting to myself that I can't do this alone, posting on a forum for the first time. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Ever since I upgraded to El Capitan (10.11) I have been plagued with this stage bug/glitch, in which every app downloaded form the App Store requires me to enter my Apple ID and Password to open said app on EVERY reboot. I'm usually greeted with this message when I try opening an app: "Insert app" was purchased using the App Store on another computer. To use "Insert app" on this computer, sign in using the Apple ID and password used to purchase it. Microsoft Office 2016, for example, doesn't remember my activation details and I have to re-enter them every time I reboot. I have had several hypotheses, NVRAM not saving (but iMessage works perfectly and values are retained), Broken Keychain (tried resetting it to no avail), etc. I also installed several OS X versions on my notebook to rule out possibilities. I found that none of the above happened on 10.9-10.10.5. But once I upgrade to 10.11 El Capitan, and the public beta of 10.12 Sierra, the same problem arises. So what could it be? New security features like rootless or something similar introduced since 10.11 and onward? Where could the problem be? It seems like every time I reboot it's a whole other computer. Seems like it since App Store apps and MS Office apps ask for activation. Im using Clover as my boot loader, r3642 to be precise. My notebook is an old Asus U50Vg, legacy BIOS.
  14. Ok folks I got a good one, first my specs: AMD A10-7700K with AMD-V enabled, A88X-Pro, 16 gigs ram, NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti, 120 SSD, 1tb WD Black. VM Ware Workstation 12, used unlocker 208. W10 Professional 64. I am getting the error "A fault has occurred causing a virtual cpu to enter the shutdown state"...etc etc. yes I have added smc.version = 0 and smc.version = 0 I have tried all the way down to 10.7 VMDK up to 10.12 .iso. I get the exact same error. I have enabled "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI" on or off doesn't matter. Disable acceleration for binary translation, Virtualize cpu performance counters etc etc. Same error. VM is set to 4 processors 4 GB memory flip that crude around for days to no avail. Pointed the drives to the .iso, VMDK etc etc flip back and forth. Uninstalled/reinstalled put on a pie hat stood in a tree got struck by lighting found a corner in a round room despite all those accomplishments I still can't keep the darn thing from shutting down the cpu... Obviously my VM is working or I would have other issues/errors etc. So I leave this issue to the brainiacs here perhaps a gallon of coffee and some brainstorming might help thanx everybody....
  15. This guide makes an installation of macOS 10.12 Sierra on a real MacPro3,1 or other unsupported Mac's or Hackintosh's possible! Edit: Update for GM post #9 What we need for this: Atom.app or Atom Beta.App Flat Package Editor.app (from /Developer/Applications/Utilities/PackageMaker.app/Contents/Resources/) Download Install 10.12 Developer Preview.app In addition: (All files are intended for MacPro3,1, possibly you have a grudge here your BoardID) Archiv1.zip Archiv2.zip USB flash drive creation ( 8GB / Created flash drive with the BaseSystem.dmg method! does not work with the createinstallmedia method! ): 1. Restore BaseSystem.dmg from the InstallShield Developer 10.12 Preview.app out of your Program Files folder with the disk utility on the USB flash drive 2. Delete the simlink packages under "/Volumes/USB/System/Installation/" 3. Copy the original package folder from the Install 10.12 Developer Preview.app to "/Volumes/USB/System/Installation/" 3.1 optional: install Clover (only for Hackintosh and this Method) 4. Replace the InstallableMachines.plist in /Volumes/USB/System/Installation/Packages/ with from Archiv1.zip 5. Replace the PlatformSupport.plist in /Volumes/USB/System/Library/Core Services/ with from Archiv1.zip 6. Copy the OSInstall.mpkg from /Volumes/USB/System/Installation/Packages/ to the desktop 7. Open this by right-clicking the Flat Package Editor 8. Delete the file "Distribution" and replace with file from Archiv1.zip (Previously open possibly this file with Atom.app and edit your BoardID after) 9. Replace now the OSInstall.mpkg in /Volumes/USB/System/Installation/Packages/ with the file from the desktop 10. Now you can start, the Mac reboots with pinned Alt key and select your USB flash drive. Make here the installation on a free selected by you partition. The installation starts, then the computer reboots. 11. While it is booting Alt hold, so it will not boot into fresh Sierra. Instead, choose your example Capitan and ride high order. 12. Go here now in the Finder to the fresh Sierra HDD in /Volumes/Sierra/System/Library/Core Services/ and replacing there the file "PlatformSupport.plist" from the Archiv2.zip 13. That's it, do restart in the fresh Sierra and let the installation run through to the end. And, need a /Extra/SMBIOS.plist supported with /Volumes/macOSMBR/System/Library/CoreServices/PlatformSupport.plist. Set a SMBIOS with Chameleon Wizard.
