    Hello InsanelyMac!

Hi _asm, There's a nice tool called kext wizard that will show you wich one are loaded : http://www.insanelym...aller-and-more/ But I think that will be quite hard to achieve it this way. Another point is that (if I understood correctly what I read in various posts) Distros are not anymore fashion in hackintosh world. So you may try to install a more vanilla setup with this post (for example) : http://www.insanelym...g/#entry1721751 And you know what ? It seems you may understand what's written in this post Which is not my case ;-) EDIT : Forgot to link you to http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/ which is a reference guide/explanation A+ JJ

    KextsToPatch how-to (?)

Thank you so much ... I must admit I didn't understand the original sample with "headphones" as "48 65 61 64 70 68 6F 6E 65 73 00" and the actual search for the string <data>SGVhZHBob25lcwA=</data> A+ JJ Edit : one more question : Could it be possible with clover to replace a whole kext ie: put my applehda.kext in the kext folder and have it to replace the original one ? (or is it only a folder to load non existent kext)

    KextsToPatch how-to (?)

Hi all, I'm very sorry for my dummy question but did you manage to master the syntax ? If I want to add this to config.plist : sudo perl -pi -e '$c+=s/\xE2\x00\x00\x00\x0F\x30/\xE2\x00\x00\x00\x90\x90/; END { printf "%s: %d substitution%s made.\n",($c==1 ? "Success" : "Error"),$c,(!$c || $c>1 ? "s" : ""); $?=($c!=1); }' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement How-to translate from \xE2\x00\x00\x00\x0F\x30 to the correct format for clover ?? (same question for \xE2\x00\x00\x00\x90\x90 Also don't hesitate to reply to this post with you patches in case they could help others Regards JJ

  10. Hi staring, you may have a look at rampagedev because you're lucky enough he has worked with your card http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/how-to-inject-your-nvidia-fermi-graphic-card-into-a-dsdt/ A+ JJ

Hi eep357 First , congratulations for your build Second, I would be very interested in viewing the ssdt you use for your I7-920 proc as I have the same proc (but at freq 3.8) and am currently using the overclock ssdt from an installer app I can't name here according to forum rules. Please, may you share your ssdt ? Another point I would like to know : does editing your dsdt to include proc ssdt changes something in the param of boot like : dropssdt, generatepstates and generatecstates) Thanks JJ
  12. Hi everyone ! I'm having a strange problem while installing on a P6T (boot on the usb). Message : Sound assertion "0 != result" failed in AppleHDAWidget at line 3866 goto handler Sound assertion "0 != widget->setUnsolicited (true )" failed in AppleHDACodecGeneric at line 1162 goto handler The install stucks on this message (everything before seemed to go well) (I try using the search but no result) Any advice ? EDIT : Solved Thanks in advance JJ
