1. Managed to solve the battery problem, i think it was a problem with the semicolons because i didn't do a raw copy. Now the last problem i have is nothing happens if i close the lid. Sleep works if i go to the menu and select sleep. Any1 got any clues? I am using AICPUPM 10.9 which comes with ##### for Yosemite and the good old A06 bios (unlocked). 10x again Doix for the help.
2. @radamesrf do you have the dsdt in extra folder?
3. Many Thanks Doix, this version of VHDA is indeed better, i would say better than the AHDA for Mavericks I cannot seam to get the battery kext to work, i am still getting "No battery available". The kexts seam to be loaded, maybe i haven't applied the DSDT patch properly? Is there any way to check the DSDT if it was correctly patched? I can see the new values in the DSDT. Also doest it matter if i use the same DSDT from Mavericks (the one with nVidia disabled)?
4. Hey guys, i installed Yosemite using this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301138-new-usb-installer-os-x-yosemite-chameleon-r2487-v4/?p=2064388 Everything seams to work quite well except the sound and batery. I can get the sound working with voodoodha but that sounds just terrible. The bass is quite bad. No luck however with the battery kext. Anyone managed to get them working for Yosemite?
5. Hey guys, I have been trying for a few days to install ML but i get stuck at the "Still waiting for root device". I made the usb using pcwiz13's tutorial. I have tried all the suggestions in this topic but with no luck. These are all the boot args i tried: -v GraphicsEnabler=No busratio=20 PCIRootUID=1 UseKernelCache=No npci=0x2000. Also tried creating usb stick with other methods but the same result. Also tried all usb ports. Any other suggestions?
6. my laptop also behaves strange after i downgraded to bios a06 and reinstalled win 7 a while ago. if i hit fn + f3 the trackpad doesn't disable, the orange led turns on but that's all. fn + f11/f12 don't work all the time (win only) and also quickset doesn't work all the time. upgrading to a11/reinstalling all drivers didn't work.
7. @DoiX try carbon copy cloner, i use it to make a full bootable backup of os x.
8. hmm right untill now i had 8,2 i will change to 8,1 to see if it works. edit: it doesn't work.
9. I already updated, i cannot update again.. i got a kp after 1st restart but i reinstalled AICPUPM and that solved the kp. Also tried nullcpu, reinstalling all kexts, no changes, the blank screen remains. I'll just do a clean install hopefully today.
10. nope, never used nullcpupowermanagement ... never got sleep working with null. i tried reinstalling fakesmc today .. no luck.
11. i tried reinstalling the package with same kext as on 10.7.4 .. nothing changed, i also found AICPUPM 10.7.5 but.. it doesn't help.
12. Hey guys, has anyone tried to update to 10.7.5? I updated today and now i cannot log into desktop anymore. Instead of the login screen i get a blank (gray) page. The display goes to sleep, wakes, but the login just doesn't appear. Right after updateing i got a kernel panick, something CPU related, i reinstall AICPUPM and after that it starts at the blank page. Any ideas?
13. Hmm i think that did the trick, i waited for the artifacts to appear then changed the dock to the right. It didn't make them dissapear but after closing all apps they didn't appear any more, 2h so far with no artifacts. What i noticed is they mostly appear when watching videos on youtube, quicktime, vlc, or even normal flash on websites. Cheers mbyte2 Edit: Actually it didn't realy help, they appeared again later.
14. Hey! I know this has been asked before, but i just can't get rid of the annoying artifacts. Some time ago after doing a clean install, installing all kexts etc etc i didn't have any artifacts. About a week or so i started having artifacts but i didn't install any kext or apps, nothing. I read that Clover Efi bootloader fixes artifacts problems but i can't get it working, i install Clover Efi, run the command needed for 64bit "sudo dd if=boot..." i get the error boot1: error. Any other way of getting the artifacts to dissapear? Or figure out why they appear?
15. hmm it seams i am not lucky, i will buy a working model, 10x for all the help hackintosh master and sory for the trouble
