    ATI Radeon HD 4250, wtf?

@HUSABER: I searched for a kext for my card, but none seem to work. Funny thing is since I played with some kexts around, Chess works and Youtube videos load, but then again, lag like hell. I just hope I'm on the way to make this card work. @iFIRE: I know that no one made it work till now, but I'll try everyday. Hopefully, I'll succeed and help all Radeon HD 4250 owners out there.
  2. Hi. I am trying to make this graphic card work in my laptop, although I read it's practically impossible and I stumbled across a situation I haven't read about before: I can run Chess, I can't watch Youtube videos because they lag like hell and the sound is all laggy to, I can't watch movies using VLC or Quicktime because both crash. I forced my resolution in boot plist. Also, in System Profiler I get this: Display: Type: GPU Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 4 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x9712 Revision ID: 0x0000 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1366 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Am I getting somewhere or is this the usual ATI Radeon HD 4250 owners see? Also, does anyone know how I could trick my hackintosh to think it's running another GPU to get QE/CI working? I am running 10.6.8, btw. Thanks a lot, mwenta

    [HOW TO] ATI HD 4350

I second Nick's question. I too have that card, the ATI Radeon HD 4250, and tried your guide but to no avail. I am currently using 10.6.8 amd I have forced my resolution throught the boot file in the Extra folder, but I can't run apps like Pixelmator or such. Please help us with tips to get this card working too Later edit: I added the -f flag during boot so that the caches could be rebuilt and I get this message repeatedly, however it doesn't seem to affect the boot at all: RadeonMonitor: 9712 Radeonchip detected RadeonMonitor: unknownID

    Introduce yourself.

Hi. I am Iris from Romania and I've been struggling to get Mac on any laptop for about a year. I currently have a AMD-powered HP 625 where I successfully had Snow 10.6.0(till I crashed it big time), but now I'm aiming for Lion. Have a nice day

    Stuck at a USBF?!

Hi. I'm trying to install Lion on my AMD-powered HP 625 using "Mac OS X Lion For All Computers Including AMD 10.7.3 V2 - by Niresh", but I always seem to get stuck at a line during the boot of the install. I have a Turion x64 CPU and a Radeon HD 4250. I have to use the "Kernel Cache"=/amd arch=i386 cpus=1 -v flags, but afterwards I get stuck at USBF : number AppleUSBOHCI[number]:: CheckSleepCompatibility - controller will be unloaded across sleep It just sits there forever. What am I doing wrong? Is the DVD corrupted or do I have to add another flag?
