  1. Thank you very much, my Lion 10.7.3 works flawless. here is a small guide on how to dual boot Lion and Windows 7. This method works perfectly for my system: Sabertooth i7 950 sapphire hd6850 kingston hyperx (2x4gb) 8gb seagate barracuda 2tb 1) Install Lion first as outlined by this guide, make sure you format the disk using GPT and make 2 partition, first one Lion and 2nd one windows, format the windows as Fat32, the order is critical. 2) Boot from your Windows cd/usb. (You need at least Windows 7 Professional or greater, since it has recovery options) 3) Format the Windows partition to NTFS and Install. After this you will no longer be able to boot into chameleon, since Windows wrote over the charmeleon boot-loader. If windows does not allow you to install in in the NTFS partition, you need to go back into Lion, use disk utility and *resize* the partition. This will make it raw and fix the compatibility issue with windows. Just make sure its 2nd in order. 4) Boot into your Lion install USB, you will see that Lion and Windows both works because of Chameleon from the USB. What we want to do is reinstall Chameleon into the hard drive. Open terminal in the installer and follow Step 7 from the Lion install guide. You should be able to boot into chameleon without the USB and into Lion. Now try going into Windows, you should get an error. 5) Load your Windows install cd/usb and it will give you a recovery option. Perform startup repair and Whola! You should now be able to boot into both OS seamlessly.
  2. DVD Drive won't burn

I had the same exact problem but it got fixed after I used a non-apple app. Try burn http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html
  3. GUID vs MBR, what's my problem?

  4. G5 to ATX case tray question

Thanks for the replies, I have decided on the mountain mods, it looks lot sleeker than the lian li. I have also ordered an asus p6t (non-deluxe/se) mobo hopefully this one will work. Once all the components are confirmed working, I will begin modifying the case.
  5. G5 to ATX case tray question

Update: I received all the hardware but when I go to test it, it does not get to POST and keeps rebooting after every few seconds. It seems many people with the x58a-ud3r face similar problems. I decided to return the item to the seller and by some luck he refunded me all the money and let me keep the board. I will do an RMA and hopefully it comes back fixed. Meanwhile, I am on the look out for a different board, preferrably not Gigabyte. What do you guys recommend? Asus? It has to be 1366 socket since I still have my I7 950.
  6. G5 to ATX case tray question

I am confused, did you mean 2 80mm fan and not the one 120mm because it only lets choose either the 2 or 1 one on their website.
  7. G5 to ATX case tray question

Thanks for the reply, luckily I found my old ATX case at my office to test the hardware and maybe it will be the right size for the mod. If not I will go with the mountain mods tray. I will post updates on the progress.
  8. Hi everyone, I am in the process of modding a G5 case to accommodate a full atx motherboard. I have done some research and learned that most people prefer either Mountain Mods or Lian Li motherboard tray. My question is could I purchase a brand new case from eBay like the one below, and cutout it's tray and fit that inside the G5 instead? The price is cheaper than Mountain Mods and about the same as Lian Li, $48 shipped, but also comes with 3 fans. I feel Since this is my first build I would like to test all the components first case before attempting to mod the G5. My primary use will be for 3D modeling and video editing. e Here are the parts I have ordered: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 1.0 Intel i7 950 Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6850 Kingston HyperX blu 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 Cool Master eXtreme Power Plus 500W 20+4-pin ATX Power Any help would be great
