ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

lastexile, Thanks for the hard work. Besides my random blue screen issue which I mentioned above everything is working fairly well. Do you happen to know what is necessary to get dual monitors hdmi/dvi, dvi/vga,hdmi/vga working on my Sapphire 3650? All the ports work independantly but not together. Thanks. Dustin

    nForce LAN driver

Yeah, I think I figured it out. I am fairly sure it's a hardware issue as I have the exact same problem using a Ubuntu 8.04 LiveCD. So I went out and bought a Apple USB Ethernet dongle. Stupid motherboard lan. Thanks for your help though. Dustin

ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

I am using the most recent 3650 package that you posted on the 18th I think. I have an Sapphire 3650 low profile 512mb card, and it works very well for the most part. I get full resolution support and hardware QE/CI. I am running 10.5.5 with the Voodoo beta 2 9.5 kernel, although the problem also happened with the Stage XNU 9.4 kernel. When playing around in the preferences window I get random freezes (blue screen) that last from 10 seconds - permanently. This sometimes happens when not in the preferences window as well, although I think the error is different. Nothing shows up in my system.log but in my windowserver.log I see "kCGErrorFailure: CGXDisableUpdate: UI updates were forcibly disabled by application "System Preferences" for over 1 second. Server has re-enabled them." when it crashes in the preferences window and "kCGErrorIllegalArgument: CGXSetWindowListTags: Operation on a window 0x6 not owned by caller SystemUIServer" when it crashes outside the preferences window. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks. Dustin PS - Does anyone know how to get dual display going on a 3650? Thanks. windowserver.txt

    nForce LAN driver

I was using the Stage XNU kernel, I have since upgraded to Voodo Beta 2 and your 62.1n Kext and I am still having the same issues. I looked in my system.log and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary with your driver, no errors or warnings. It doesn't just prevent DHCP from working, if I set a static IP it still doesn't allow any communication even though it accepts the setting fine. I am also getting some weird blue screen hangs when navigating system preferences or sometimes clicking the apple. I am not sure whether it has anything to do with your driver as there are no errors in my system log. It hangs for like 3-15 seconds on a blank blue screen, and then returns to normal. Thanks. Dustin

[HOW TO] Patch AppleHDA - Knowledge Base

This kext finally got my sound working on my Nforce 630i based board, GA-73-PVM. Combined with hdaenabler I now have working spdif out, which is all I care about, although lineout does not work. It is probably just some pin issue. I tried just about every kext out there and even your guide, but nothing worked. Thanks. Dustin

NForce 630i Chipset with ALC888 using Kalyway 10.5.2

I got it working!!! With absolutely no patching necessary. Well, only my SPDIF works, lineout does not seem to work, haven't tested anything else, it probably is just some pin configuration. Go to post 29 at http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...0&start=20# and download the file posted by MadTux. Make sure you have HDAenabler installed. Dustin

NForce 630i Chipset with ALC888 using Kalyway 10.5.2

I've also tried just about everything (some combos of AppleHDA + HDAEnabler show something in system profiler but nothing in system preferences) including MadTux's manual method. I am running the 10.5.5 with 9.4 Stage XNU on a Gigabyte GA-73-PVM. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dustin

    nForce LAN driver

I'm having mixed results with the newest driver 62.0n on my gigabyte ga-73pvm-s2h (Realtek 8211B) using Jas 10.5.4 Client Server, at first when I installed it all was great, my connection at 1000mbit was stable. Then after several hours of usage it would drop, and say that it was connected via DHCP but had a self assigned IP. Apparently this is a somewhat common thing on nforce boards I've read. I reinstalled your kext, and it got it working again after a reboot. This has happened several times and now I can no longer get it working. Any ideas? I have tried the previous driver, but not any others. Would logs help? Thanks. Dustin
  10. Fixed my wireless issue. Installed the IO80211Family.kext from Kalyway 10.5.2 rather than Apple's combo update and everything is back to 100%. Thanks again. Dustin
  11.  Mysticus C*, Thanks for the updates, I managed to successfully update my IBM T42 (sse2 only) from 10.5.2 Kalyway all the way to 10.5.4 using your packages. I did have to restore my ACPI and ATA Kexts though, but knew that ahead of time. I am having only one issue and its my Atheros Wireless card. Using the IO80211Family.kext in your update my wireless card disappeared, I edited the Info.plist to include my cards ID and upon restart it seemed to work (it found the card). However, when I try to click on the wireless icon on the top bar my computer hard locks instantly. I have tried reparing permissions and also the 10.5.2 kext, any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Dustin
  12. Same problem here with Toh's dvd. IBM T42 1.8ghz Pentium M Dothan (1 cpu) ATI Mobility 9600 1gb ram

    ATIRadeon9700 Patch?

I was just about to install Leopard on my IBM T42 with a Mobility 9600 when I found this thread. Any idea why the Tiger kexts don't work? I'd be happy to do some testing if someone would be kind enough to send me the appropriate kexts. Thanks. Dustin
