  1. You cannot use same method to extract kernel file from BaseSystemBinaries.pkg in Yosemite because it uses different format. I tried to google for an hour and still can't find a way to extract it.
  2. Thanks man. I just got a working HDD installer using your method
  3. It is just sad that I followed this guide and my screen still doesn't show on after wake up even though it works for many other guys. Anyway, for anyone only use Linux like me, if you want to get the value of register ending with C8254 you can use this command. dd if=/dev/mem of=/tmp/aaaa ibs=1 skip=$((0xf00c8254)) count=4; hd /tmp/aaaa I used 0xf00c8254 because my BAR0 is 0xf0000004. Replace the address with your machine's value. And remember to run this as root.

    AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

Hi verteks, I used your patched (LVDS + VGA) and it works wonderful in my internal monitor. But when I switch to VGA monitor, everything looks like {censored}. Note that System -> Preferences -> Display doesn't detect my second monitor. I switch to it using the key on keyboard. Do you have know how to solve this problem? Thank you very much!

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Hi GhostRaider, Is there anyway I can use framebuffer kext (not the alternative one)? Or do you have any idea how it is possible? Because it seems that some features are disabled with that alternative one. I assumed this because of the Info.plist. Thanks.
  6. Hello, I added DSM method to my GFX0 and nothing changed. Only backlight slider works. Backlight keys don't work and screen is still black after wake up. I also have my backlight at 100% after boot. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
  7. Hi, I don't have Windows installed so I can't send you the screenshot but I can dump whole PCI configuration space. This is the result. And also, my BAR0 is 0xf0000004. Please tell me if this could help you or not. 8. Hi mnorthern, I tried to follow your guide and my backlight slider in preferences dialog works now. But I still cannot use my backlight keys and my screen doesn't wake up after sleep too. Please take a look at my patched DSDT. Thank you very much! DSDT.aml.zip

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Thank you very much GhostRaider. I used your AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext (alternate one) with other kexts from manor and now I got full QE/CI working in my Dell Inspiron 1464 now.
