  1. For records, trying further with different releases I've found out that iAtkos S3 v2 boots fine up until installer prompt. I'll see later if installation will be successful.
  2. Still no results with problem as per earlier description. One step forward for me was that I was able to install 10.5.8 using iAtkos v5 as per description posted here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=223589 Does any of you know where the problem is with Lion? I've tried to upgrade to 10.6 or 10.7 from 10.5 but I'm getting "this system can not be upgraded" Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Hi All, The problem I'm facing is that once kernel is loaded screen gets blank and nothing happens. I've tried multiple ways of preparing USB key and booting kernel including: - UniBoot - MyHack - iAtkos Options I've tried so far: - PCIRoot=1 - GraphicsEnabler=Yes / GraphicsEnabler=No - cpu=1 - arch=i386 - npci=0x2000 - -f, -x -s flags - "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32" - debug=0x144 None of them did not work and laptop seems to have pretty standard config and should work out of the box: CPU T2250 Memory: 1GB Video: GMA950 Screen: 1440x900 Model: Gateway MX8711 BIOS version:72.14, 72.11 Full spec: http://www.cnet.com/laptops/gateway-mx8711-dual-core/4507-3121_7-32363010.html I've successfully installed OS X on different laptop and even if faced some problems it at least gave me some errors. In this case I'm completely blind. What's worth mentioning, this laptop has video output and I'm wondering if this is not the source of problem? If it could be, how can I force kernel output to be put on embedded LCD? I've checked attaching external display on VGA connection but nothing was displayed there neither. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks,

  5. Hi All, I've read through this thread and many others and whilst I gained a lot of knowledge I'm getting mad at the same time. I've tried multiple guides using as starting point Mammoth Method and other tutorials and I can't get past first boot of my HP dv7-6b55dx from USB/CD whilst at the same time I've successfully installed 10.7.3 under Virtual Box. Is this possible at all to get installed 10.7.3 on this laptop? Probably I'm just missing DSDT.aml but even if I tried with couple of them it didn't work well. As the system is based on HM65 chipset, maybe it would be better to jump direclty to 10.8? Please advise. Below is a list of the most related threads and guides I've tried http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250849&st=1260 and other forums, etc. http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=53053&p=329694#p329694 http://www.osx86.net/notebooks/13458-boot-shut-down-problems-my-hp-pavilion-dv7-6b55dx-3.html I've also tried: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=42634 http://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=50017 https://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=35536&start=20 https://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?t=34889&p=219522 Whilst I know I'm missing something, probably small but important detail it drives me even more mad as I don't usually have any problems with even playing with Linux kernel sources. Please help me jumping on the right rails. Thanks in advance.
