  1. Logmein Central Plus is ridiculous expensive this year as they doubled the price. It is now $3000 per year where it used to be $1500. We need at least 200 computers as we have many client's servers and workstations. All we really use is Remote Access and File Transfer. Logmein's speed is very efficient, but as our company is going through some rough times we cannot afford this. Can anyone suggest a cheaper but solution without the drop in quality? Or maybe a file transfer solution because we need to update customers source code on the servers and at times test (because windows/network configuration or who knows what is different). Right now they've got us by the balls and I'm a bit stressing out and not sure what to do.
  2. i don't know but this helps recognize bootcamp partitions on el capitan, hope this helps, also the other line of code is for opening Xcode 6 on el capitan To Launch Xcode (Release Version) on Beta version of OS X. Enter this in Terminal : /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/MacOS/Xcode To enable Boot Camp Partition on a Beta version of OS X. Enter this in Terminal: sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1 rootless=0” use terminal
  3. Hi, My app is crashing when updating by Xcode or Test Flight for an existing app. I added an attribute, but migration and mapping is turned on in the appDelegate. Is this a swift issue? Or am i missing something? I Did make a new CoreData Model and based it off the previous one (previous one didn't have the added attribute) From App Delegate
  4. Damn, I got excited to try out the new features in El Capitan that instead of making another virtual machine, installed it on my main OS. I use this for work and i have a boot camp partition that I also use for work (Develop apps that links to our main system [Windows Based]) After I updated to the beta version, I couldn't start up my Boot Camp partition using Parallels, I tried everything. Installing with out a source and trying to select my boot camp, but it can't be found. I booted off windows so I know its fine, anyone have any suggestions? Am I screwed? My Boot Camp partition doesn't even show up :\ It does show up on Finder though
  5. Hey, I ran into this issue with the Tab Bar being greyed out in Xcode 6. I found a solution online but it seems like it only works using the default system images. Anyone know a solution to this problem?
  6. Hi, I'm using two developer accounts on one app, i changed the provisioning profile and developer account to my other one to build. But it give me there error "valid provisioning profile was not found" i added this said device to the account i want to build it on and added it to the provisioning profile. it still gives me this error, can anyone advise? I did import the correct certificate with the private key.
  7. Anyone else having issues updating their provisioning profiles using OTA? i cant install using our OTA website or sending the profile to my email account on my devices.
  8. im developing an app for a company, but they are getting their own developers license, how can i get it to run on their xcode?
  9. Auto Layout Worth It?

    im doing some screens in IB and im just having a tedious time the iPadStoryboard as i copied and pasted all the views from the iPhoneStoryboard, just too many constraints, and the thing is i can probably knock it out within one full day, doing it manually. is it worth just doing it with autolayouts, will it be worth it/beneficial in the end? regarding new screens sizes (i.e. iphone5) its just really pissing me off, my manager wants to do it that way, but hes willing to not do if its not worth it. should we go on with it? or should we wait till they improve it? edit: im goign with auto layout, since itll be worth it, its just very tedious, annoying, and it pisses me off lol
  10. I know its good when changing form landscape to portrait orientation but is it good for transitioning from iPhone Storyboard to iPad? the iPhone version is going to be only portrait but the iPad version of my app will support landscape orientation and portrait. (the iPad storyboard is just going to be a bigger version of the app [bigger/more images, bigger tableview, it will not have any split views or multiple tableviews] almost exactly the same)
  11. In my app I'm planning to combine my "popular" and "new" viewcontrollers into one, and have the "new" items have badges saying "new" what should this view controller be called? i was thinking something like "Hot Items, or What's Hot" with a tab bar icon of a fire or something. any suggestions?
  12. how many old versions should my app be compatible with? so far im thinking just iOS5, and iOS6, since I've read that close to 90% of all iOS users update their devices. and when iOS7 comes out, for future apps and versions should i let the app be backwards compatible with iOS5? given that the original iPad and iPhone 3G is going to be stuck with iOS5. does people know how the percentage of people using older devices? how long will i have to be able to support these older devices and OS?
  13. thanks for the example! i basically just put the original coding in to my viewdidload to get a short term fix, but thanks for the example, i do need to do it the right way for the long run.
  14. thanks, the API i was working with wasn't compatible with ARM7s so i had to deactivate that. linea pro basically, rebuilt their API, looks like im going to have fun implementing the new version to my app
  15. On my app i found this problem, when in landscape mode and i select an item which leads to another view, my description doesn't show up. but when im in portrait view and i select the item, and than i rotate it, THEN for some reason my description shows: heres the a photo of the view when i use the app in landscape mode only heres the photo of the view, when i use the app in portrait mode and than rotate it to landscape when im at this view. so you guys have some type of idea what im talking about heres my coding: - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { //return (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait); if ([[uIDevice currentDevice]userInterfaceIdiom]==UIUserInterfaceIdiomPhone) { return (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait); } else { if (UIInterfaceOrientationIsPortrait(interfaceOrientation)) { // Portrait frames view_style_descript.frame = CGRectMake(0, 664, 768, 90); view_Washing_Intrn.frame=CGRectMake(0, 753, 768, 158); //[self RemoveSubView]; //view_color.frame = CGRectMake(710, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } else { // Landscape frames view_style_descript.frame = CGRectMake(465, 200, 560, 90); view_Washing_Intrn.frame=CGRectMake(465, 290, 560, 250); // [self RemoveSubView]; //view_color.frame = CGRectMake(965, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } return YES; } } - (void)willAnimateRotationToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)toInterfaceOrientation duration:(NSTimeInterval)duration { if ([[uIDevice currentDevice]userInterfaceIdiom]==UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad) { if (UIInterfaceOrientationIsPortrait(toInterfaceOrientation)) { // Portrait frames view_style_descript.frame = CGRectMake(0, 664, 768, 90); view_Washing_Intrn.frame=CGRectMake(0, 753, 768, 158); if(ShowColor==FALSE) { view_color.frame = CGRectMake(710, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } else { view_color.frame = CGRectMake(665, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } } else { // Landscape frames view_style_descript.frame = CGRectMake(465, 200, 560, 90); view_Washing_Intrn.frame=CGRectMake(465, 290, 560, 250); if(ShowColor==FALSE) { view_color.frame = CGRectMake(965, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } else { view_color.frame = CGRectMake(925, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } } } } these do not work, i tried using the If statement on viewDidLoad, but it doesn't know if its in portrait mode or landscape. - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; if (UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait) { // Portrait frames view_style_descript.frame = CGRectMake(0, 664, 768, 90); view_Washing_Intrn.frame=CGRectMake(0, 753, 768, 158); //[self RemoveSubView]; //view_color.frame = CGRectMake(710, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } else { // Landscape frames view_style_descript.frame = CGRectMake(465, 200, 560, 90); view_Washing_Intrn.frame=CGRectMake(465, 290, 560, 250); // [self RemoveSubView]; //view_color.frame = CGRectMake(965, 80, view_color.frame.size.width, view_color.frame.size.height); } } so basically if i put a "!" infront of UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait it executes the else statement, if not than the if. anyone have any suggestions or advice???
