  1. HP Pavilion DV6 - 6C52EL with Mavericks

Hi everybody, I'd like to install OS X on this PC: CPU: i5-2450M (2,5 GHz) VGA: AMD Radeon HD7470M 1 Gb In your opinion, is it possible? Eventually, which version of OS X is supported (Mavericks or Mountain Lion)? Is it better to install OS X with a custom distro or with a Retail version? I hope you can help me. Thank you very much.
  2. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Thank you, but it doesn't worked for me This method partially worked for me; I've edited my Info.plist, now my sound card works and there's no noise, but the sound crackles and if I change my settings in "Audio MIDI Setup" I got the same. Moreover, I can't change the speakers settings from "Stereo" to "5.1 Surround" and only the front speakers are recognized. I can't believe that I can't solve this problem..
  3. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Forgive my ignorance, but I'd like to try the app "HDA Wizard". Does it work without DSDT too? If yes, what must I put in the "Platforms.xml", "LayoutXXX.xml" and "Info.plist" fields? Thank you.
  4. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Nothing, everything I do there's always this bothersome background noise. But it isn't exactely a noise... there's like a distortion of the sounds, with some interruption. Moreover, I have a 5.1 Speaker System and in "System Preferences/Sound" I can see that only the front speakers are identified. Are there, in your opinion, other ways to get my sound card working without DSDT?
  5. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Thank you but I've already tried AzaliaAudio without success. As VoodooHDA, the sound is not clean and there's a noise.
  6. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Is there anyone who can help me to fix this?
  7. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Unfortunately it doesn't work. However, I need a solution without the DSDT patch because my VGA works only with an ATI ROM and perhaps using the DSDT I'll lose the QE/CI
  8. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

I've just tried.. first of all, I've removed "VoodooHDA.kext" and restored the originals "AppleHDA.kext" and "HDAEnabler.kext". Then I've applied the patch using this tool but without success. Are there any other ways?
  9. ALC888 and Snow Leopard

Hi everybody I've installed Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my PC with the Realtek ALC888 soundcard. To get it working, I've tried Azalia and Voodoo audio kexts; they work, but with a bothersome noise. I've tried also a lot of kexts that I've found on the web, but without success. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
  10. Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series

Hi, Yesterday I got this error screen during boot: "CPU halted: It is now safe to turn off your computer". So I've reinstalled my Hackintosh, and now I haven't any kext or driver installed. In fact I have a 1024x768 resolution without QE/CI.
  11. EeePC 1101HA and Lion

I've upgraded it last week The problem is that if I try to install Lion (I've made a Bootable USB), I get this error: "UHCI controller [8086:8114] at 00:id:0 base 5c4(b881)". So I think it's because I can't use the AHCI Mode..
  12. EeePC 1101HA and Lion

Thank you, but in "Advanced/IDE Configuration" I haven't the option "Enhanced" But is necessary to set AHCI Mode?
  13. EeePC 1101HA and Lion

Sorry, but, first of all, is there a way to set S-ATA to AHCI on my EeePC 1101HA? I can't find nothing to do this in the BIOS.
  14. EeePC 1101HA and Lion

Hi everybody! I'd like to install iAtkos L2 on my Asus EeePC 1101HA. So I've downloaded the .dmg of iAtkos and I've copied it into my USB Pen Drive with Disk Utility using another Mac. If I boot from the USB, nothing happens: I see only an "endless" blinking dash. Suggestions? Thanks in advance
