hello, one of the first ting you need to do is upgrade you memory. I guess your laptop is like mine, a business one. And no, sorry, you can't upgrade tiger to leopard. The thing that worked for me was iatkos v7, a saver! just download it from the pirate bay, put it on a blank dvd and boot from it and serach in our big friend google for the essential .pkg installations for you laptop. hope it works!
  2. [HELP] updating 10.5.4 on msi wind nettop

hey dude pls put ur specs or it will be very difficult..mainly your VGA cards or hd pls..
  3. kernel panic on boot

hello, I think you'll need to patch your DSDT in your own...cause i think as LatinMcG try installing again or running -x -v -f in the startup with chameleon, it may get off te panic. You can also try to boot in single user mode (-s in chameleon boot screen) and fsck, and another alternative that is not difficult, try to install iatkos v7, that was an easy one in my dell latitude d520. I guess that if it works on a latitude d520(and its 10.5.7 natively) and everything works like a dream, i guess it will work on yours. If you try to do this, pm me and i'll help ya. cheers
  4. hello, i am trying to install the s3 v2 in my dell latitude d520, which has the iatkos v7 running(im also happy bout that ). I tryied sometimes install s3 v2, and it could just say installation was successful and when i rebooted, it just appeard the screen we don't want after a installation: boot0: done, boot0: error, or other things like this. So i thought, i already seen the files of the installation disk, which have a bunch of kernels, like mach_qoopz, or mach_pcj, so, if the installation disk booted with one of these kernels, it must be one that works on my pc! im a half newbie, so don't say im dumb please, but if i copied (cp) after the installation, in the terminal of the osx install disk, i could make it run! or no. so, anyone help me? thanks
  5. Help me Choose Distro!

What version of OSX have you installed? if 10.5.8 up, download something called kext utility and try searching similar for your ATI Raedon 4250. Because mostly OSx86 seems to work with hardware with the same 'system' or 'family' so try searching for kexts for other ATI drive, in google(course) or in the producer site. bye dude. wish ya good luck fella. happy 2018
  6. Hello guys. This tutorial I'm showing how i've got a sucessful installation of iAtkos v7 sucesfully in my dell latitude d520. Requirements:: at least 1GB Memory(recommended 2GB) 50GB HD(recommended minimum) Intel Pentium M higher at least:) Downloads:: iAtkos v7(duh) The Holy Bible e-book and a cheap ebay.com rabbit feet(between $20 - $300-> A really good one) Burned DVD of it or a pendrive with a least 4gb(and no, im not talking of putting the rabbit feet on a pendrive but iatkos v7)(how to boot from pendrive I will make another topic)(duh) Install:: Put the DVD on the reader boot Go to Utilities>Disk Utility At this point I recommend in whichever OS your running, make a backup! when you finished the backup, boot again with the dvd drive wit iAtkos v7. again go to disk utility! format one of your partition(or the whole disk) by going to the partition/disk and go to the tab erase. Very very important Note: This dis/partition MUST BE PRIMARY! NOT LOGICAL, NOT EXTENDED, BUT PRIMARY!!! I the erase tab click on the scroll option and choose Mac OS Extended(Journaled) click erase. Ok, so now you have a PRIMARY partition/disk formatted as Mac OS Extended(Journaled). As well close the disk utility and go back to te Mac OS Installer. Now you've gotta select the partition/disk that we formatted, go to next page. Aha! Now here is the trick: DON'T CLICK INSTALL YET. Click on custom now select the following options(with the default still selected): x86 Patches:. ------------->Kernel:. -------------->9.5.0 Kernel Voodoo Drivers:. ------------>VGA ------------->Intel ------------>EFI string for Intel ------------>GMA 950 ------------>GMA 950 Laptop(duh again) System:. ------------->SATA/IDE --------------->AHCI --------------->Intel SATA/IDE ------------>USB ------------>PS/2 Mouse/Keyboard -------------> Voodoo PS/2 Driver ------------>Laptop Battery ------------>ext2fs(IF YOU HAVE LINUX PARTITIONS) ------------>NTFS-3G(IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS PARTITIONS) --------->Network(mark all) Languages:. ---------->Chinese(or any other unknown language for you, to learn new horizions ) AAAAAAAAAnd proceed. when finished install(10-15 minutes depends on your processor speed and memory) you boot to chameleon and it will try to boot automatically to the partition you installed iatkos v7. You're almost there!Press any key, and it will come to you to select your mac os x disk select it DON'T PRESS ENTER YET! Type in: -v -f busrate=10 cpus=1 and <enter> ennjoy! Obs:. If you really liked Mac OS X c'mon, buy a Mac you nerd. happy 2018!
