  1. Niresh Install Freezing

Ahh I see. I don't see any need for that anymore so I'll live without it
  2. Niresh Install Freezing

    Because it breaks things? Haha
  3. Niresh Install Freezing

Okay, so I've managed to screw it up... I installed a kext, ran multi. beast and installed some programs. I then restarted and now I can't boot. I just get this: I've tried combinations of - f -F and -x in the bout flags but I can't seem to get in. Any ideas? EDIT: Fixed it. MBeast made Chameleon use the Mach_kernel.
  4. Niresh Install Freezing

Am I correct in thinking that I'm NOT able to update the OS? I'm on 10.9 and there's an update to 10.9.1.
  5. Niresh Install Freezing

I've managed to login and I've been going for 2'30". I'll post back if anything changes. Thanks for you help.
  6. Niresh Install Freezing

    It doesn't appear so.
  7. Niresh Install Freezing

It froze within 35 seconds this time. It may be quicker this time because I unplugged 2 USB devices. EDIT: So I booted with -x and I'm in which leads me to think that it's a kext problem. Is there any way of figuring out what's wrong from here?
  8. Niresh Install Freezing

Hey guys, I just installed Niresh's version of Mavericks onto my AMD rig and it freezes ~40-50 seconds after it loads the graphics driver/screen goes into full resolution. My specs are: AMD FX-8320 ASRock 970 Extreme 4 8GB GSkill RAM AMD 7950 3GB The boot flags I use are: KernelCache=/amdfx GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 So yeah. I have only managed to get half way through the post installation setup wizard. Any questions/ideas are welcome Thanks, Ninja!
  9. EasyBCD, GPU and RAM problems

Thanks for the help Gringo, I'll give it a shot after school this arvo.
  10. EasyBCD, GPU and RAM problems

I can just swap it with someone on the OCAU forums. Also, I'm on AMD and as far as I'm aware, there's no 64bit support for AMD on Lion. I honestly have no idea what you're talking about with the boot0md thing
  11. EasyBCD, GPU and RAM problems

So should I try to get an equivalent 4xx series card? I'm trying to add OS X as an entry in EasyBCD but it always says Chain booting error
  12. Hey guys, Got a few problems EasyBCD: I've got 10.6 running but I can't seem to get it to boot using Chameleon. I've tried to use C: as the boot drive, no dice. E: (second HDD) as the boot drive, still nothing. The problem is that it doesn't show my Hackintosh drive. I have the MBR created by EasyBCD on both hard drives. GPU: I have both an AMD 6970 and a nVidia 560 (560 for the hack) but it wants to display out of the 6970. I have both cards connected so I don't have to keep swapping the cables so I was wondering if there was a way of disabling the 6970 (because of the low resolutions) and use the 560 instead. Also, where do I find the drivers for my 560? I remember reading that you can get the Quadro drivers and change some thing but I can't find the post. RAM: OS X only detects 2GB of my 8GB of RAM. Any fix for this? Thanks, Ninja!
  13. I'll do that as soon as I can. Thanks.
  14. Ok, so I got it installed with that guide although I can't boot into it now. When I use the windows bootloader, it gives me a chain booting error. When I boot from the CD, I get a double panic (?). Here's the screen This is what it says: Debugger called: <double panic> Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame: Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0x34478908: 0x241b3a4(0x58c612 0x2 0x223a12) warning: invalid kernel ip, won't attempt to handle trap EDIT: Ok, I think I fixed the bootloader option but I haven't tried it yet. I'll try it soon.
