  1. I successfuly installed OS X 10.7.2 by iAktos L2 onto a Dell Precision 390 with all hardware running in 64-bit mode. Installation method was DVD. The Hardware: Intel Xeon 3040 Dual Core 1.8 Ghz(Equivalent to a Core 2 Duo E6300) *Motherboard will support upto Core 2 Extreme with 4MB cache 1066Mhz as listed on Dell's website 4 GB 667Mhz DDR2 ECC Ram DVD-ROM IDE Drive DVD-RW IDE Drive EVGA Geforce 8400 GS 512 MB Ram *Used driver from here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1724-evga-8400-gs-1gb-ddr3/ *Follow instructions in the link. Do not check any enabler on install of Lion Broadcomm BCM 5754 Gigabit Network Card *Use driver from here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1387-broadcom-5752-x86-64-i386/ Sigmatel 9200 HDA Integrated Sound *Use the latest VoodooHDA kext found here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1194-voodoohda-2-8-4-pkg-installer/ *Be sure to delete or rename AppleHDA.kext Barracuda 250 GB Sata Hard Drive *Chasis Supports 4 750 GB Sata Hard Drives Adaptec Firewire PCI Card *Removed due to kernel panic *2004 is the manufacture date on card. Too old to be supported by OXS Lion 10.7.2 Be sure to install the kext with champlist and rebuild permissions with the kext utility. On installation of Lion I did not pick anything special from the default items already selected on installation except AHCI/SATA..I chose SATA/IDE instead because I kept getting kernel panic on AHCH/SATA choice. Did not chose the USB fix because all usb ports work out of box. On installation do not select any ethernet patch or audio patch. Install the kext listed above post install through champlist. Getting QE/CI from the video card and in 64-bit mode. All DVI connectors and the HDMI connector works perfectly. However I did not test the HDMI connector to see if sound is passed through the HDMI connection. I assume it does not work. Front audio and back audio ports work perfectly. All software installed by default with Lion works fine with no crashes. See the list below of other software installed successfully and works with no crashes. Apple Final Cut Pro 7 Adobe Acrobat Reader Adobe CS6 Master Collection Adobe AIR Adobe Flash Player Adobe Shockwave Player DivX VideoLan Autodesk Maya 2014+ Autodesk Smoke 2013+ NewTek Lightwave 11.5 +I could not get Maya or Smoke to load except as root user, but that may be just a permissions problem. On update I did not select the combo update. I selected all other updates and installed fine. On reboot worked flawlessly. My next project will be getting my Dell Precision T5400 running Lion 10.7.2. Thanks for looking. To get a Wifi card I suggest the D-Link DWA-556 because according to HCL 10.7.2 it works OOB.
  2. I am starting a project. Getting OSX 10.5.6 to install on the following hard ware: Rioworks HDAMA Revision G with Bios Patched to 2.18 *Motherboard supports 16 GB Ram *From This site http://forums.mydigi...oard-BIOS-Fixes *Makes the board support dual core Opteron 1st Generation *Also makes the ACPI in the board Windows 7/Server 2008 compatible Dual AMD Opteron 250s Samsung 2GB PC3200 DDR ECC BCM5702 Gigabit Lan *Unrecognized by OSX...is there a fix out there for 10.5.6? ATI Radeon 9250 PCI graphics card *Recognized as an ATI Radeon 9250 but with 14 GB Ram *Looking for a patch to get this fully enabled in OSX Netgear WG311T *Atheros Ar5212 according to this site http://madwifi-proje...ibility/Netgear No sound card yet but will get one soon....Hopefully an Audigy Using iDeneb 10.5.6 Let you know my progress.
  3. My OSX 10.6.2 Installation.

Yes but that is a crash of the game. Not OSX.
  4. I have successfully installed OSX on the following hardware: Gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2g Motherboard *Marvell 88E116 Gigabit Lan(nForce 430 chipset) *Realteck ALC883 AMD Athlon X2 4100+ CPU Seagate 500 GB Sata Hard Drive HP Quadro FX 1700 *Chose EFI String DVI/DVI *Have not tested Quartz Dell 15" Monitor Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 Microsoft Standard Wireless Optical Mouse *Installed the IntelliPoint Software Lite-On Combo SOHC 4836K Lite-On Combo SOHC 4836V I used the 10.6.1. with 10.6.2 Update from the Hazard DVD. I went with a minimal installation...just what is required to install on an AMD system. To enable the sound I chose the ALC883 Patch. To enable the Quadro 1700 I chose the NVenabler kext. I chose the SMBios 667 Patch. Did not chose any sata drivers (running the drive in IDE mode in the BIOS). Under wired section I did not install any drivers. I have no wifi device in this computer. The Marvell 88E1116(nForce 430 chipset) was autodetected and autoconfigured with DHCP. No Kext needed. I did not chose any USB fixes. No DDST patching required or EFI string added with OSX86tools except as noted above. Working in full 64-bit mode. Chose the RTC patch to fix the CMOS reset problem. Compatible applications: Microsoft Office 2011 Professional Microsoft IntelliType Pro 6.1 *Returns an error saying some extensions did not install property but I have not discovered any problems with changing settings of the mouse and keyboard. Mozilla Firefox (Latest version) Google Chrome (Latest version) Adobe Acrobat Reader X (Latest version for OSX 10.6.2) Adobe Flash Player Plugin (Latest version for OSX 10.6.2) Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection *Everything installs but After Effects CS5.5, Premiere Pro 5.5, and Photoshop 5.5 64-bit....for some reason it says they cannot be installed on this mac as an error message. Even after switching to 64 bit mode...it will not install. Autodesk Maya 2011 Autodesk Composite 2011 Autodesk MatchMover 2011 Final Cut Express(Older version but installs and works) Final Cut Pro (Final Cut 7) *Did a basic install of only Final Cut 7...not Motion and the other options of the package) Blender 2.63a DivX (Latest verison for OSX 10.6.2) Python 2.7.3 Python 3.2.3 Software that causes kernel panic Electronic Arts Spore(Kids love this game) Will upload screenshots later through Flickr.
  5. Trying to install Final Cut Pro

No graphics enabler still gives me 0 vram when trying to install final cut pro. Using which ever kernel is available on 10.6.3 by hazard. Not sure which one I installed. I used nvinject.kext but still vram 0. Maybe add vendor string and device ID to which file? Okay added device id and vendor string to NV50.kext file...not sure the rest of the letters to the name of this file but anyone who might be able to help should know which kext I am talking about. Still getting 0 vram from Final cut stdio installer. Anything I am doing wrong?
  6. OSX 10.6.3 by Hazard Hardware: (HP XW4300 Workstation) Stock Motherboard from Xw4300 workstation. Pentium D 640 CPU 3 GB PC667 Mhz Ram BCM5751 Network card (Not detected but added device id and vendor string to the BCM5701.kext and fixed it) Linksys WMP110 PCI Wifi Card detected as AR5008 and configured automatically(No need to add device ID or vendor string). All USB ports work. I dont need the syspend ACPI {censored} to work so I dont install any of the fixes Using 500 GB Sata and had no issues with unable to find root device. Have not tested sound yet. Anyone recommend any specific .kext for audio on this board. It is a Realtek HD Audio QUadro 3400/4400 PCI-Express video card.....here is the problem Final Cut says VRAM is 0 Using NVenabler.kext.... Using SMBIOS thingy Using AHCI_SATA Fix Can someone help me to get Quartz and QE/CI working so I can install Final Cut Studio....I suspect it might be the vendor string and device ID...anyone with experience with the Quadro 3400/4400 card would be most helpful. Thanks.
