    hi Riley Freeman, how can i tell which version is it .. to be honest, i'm using the last version xpamadeus posted here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/288829-guide-gigabyte-z77x-ud5h-clover-uefi-installtweak-guide/page-9?do=findComment&comment=1942888 i do have some news to share, which is why i was back on this page ... i managed to get it stable (no crackling, no sound decreasing .. knock on wood) by installing toleda's 10.8.4 AppleHDA .. go figure ... nevertheless i will look into the ozmosis version thanks Riley Freeman !

    i tried your suggestion HackBook Pro .. but still no dice ... I tried original AppleHDA.kext alongside ALC889HDA.kext and patched AppleHDA.kext with ALC889HDA.kext i'm still having crackle noise ... i also changed audio midi setup from 44.1khz to 96khz will appreciate any other suggestion
