  1. Jason48, I haven't tested this on the iAtkos release, so I can't tell you for sure. You always try it. The installer package backs up your current kernel and renames it to mach_kernel.1050 and the system.kext to system.kext.1050. if you encounter problems after the installation, you can boot on the dvd installer and delete mach_kernel then rename mach_kernel.1050 to mach_kernel. Repeat the same process for system.kext. Let me know if it works or not. -- macaroo
  2. You're welcome sebus and luxus! I'm glad to know it works for you too! -- macaroo
  3. Below is a package with the 9.2.0 universal kernel and the stock 10.5.2 system kext. That should fix the slow bootup after updating to 10.5.2 using kalyaway's 10.5.2 combo update. It keeps a backup of your current kernel and system.kext in case it fails. It's been tested to work with the kalyway release and brazilmac install--10.5 to 10.5.2 and 10.5.1 to 10.5.2. It says noEFI but should work for EFI install's too. http://www.mediafire.com/?suegrdh049j Cheers, -- macaroo
  4. This is for anyone wondering how to create the kext cache(i.e. on the +rw mounted install disc). Credits to the community! kextcache -a i386 -m /Volumes/vol_name/System/Library/Extensions.mkext -v 1 /Volumes/vol_name/System/Library/Extensions/

[How to] Sound for the Bad Axe 2

I have a BadAxeII with STAC9274 working with v1.15 patcher. If you ran the patch on the 10.5 install, then installed EFI + 10.5.1 update, you have to run the patch again. Got it working with any installs including 10.4.8, 10.4.9, 10.4.10 and 11.
  6. I have an Intel BadAxe 2 mobo with C2D E6600 and was able to run Leo 10.5 + EFI patch just fine. Video with Nvidia 7600 GT works with full QE/CI. Network adapter works out of the box. The update to 10.5.1 didn't break the install at all. Even the Taruga patch for sound was working as well, although this is only for line in and line out.

Audio support for SigmaTel 9274D (BadAxe2)?

By the way, you don't need to use the DeamonES kernel. It works with Mifki and Semethex just fine.
