  1. Thanks Zenith I got flash in Safari working in 10.6.5 using the older r45 version. Chrome still wants to hang, but that's mainly due to the lastest version of flash being built into the browser. I installed 10.5.8 and I don't have any problems with the newest version of flash in firefox, safari or chrome Thanks again
  2. thanks for your time, I'm using the 10.6.4 VMWARE image, gonna try reverting to an older version of flash, I'll post if I find a solution
  3. is it me, but it seems that flash will crash in chrome and safari after using this driver don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing flash in firefox seems to work fine though, weird
  4. well, I tried the kalyway 10.5.3 update off the bay, I tried with the vanilla kernal, maybe I did something wrong, but I killed my install I reinstalled kalyway 10.5.1, used his update and kernal update then I followed the netkas method of installing 10.5.3 now I have 10.5.3 with 9.3 kernal Same things work as with 10.5.2 good luck alf
  5. Is there a way to do this with MBR partitions?
  6. Anyone had any success with the Kalyway 10.5.3 Updater found on the bay? If so, did you use any of the new kernals? and which one? Or... Has anyone tried the JAS version on the green demon? Thanks alf
  7. zerolimit, my guess would be that your hard drive isn't formated/partitioned correctly, but I think it would be better to ask this in the main forums where more people would see it good luck alf
  8. If you NEED draft N, I've heard that this will work without any modifications or drivers. I guess this is because it's a broadcom chipset. DELL NJ449 1500 I've also seen the part #'s 0NJ449 or DW1500 you can find it with a google search, or sometimes on ebay prices range from 35-60 bucks happy hunting alf
  9. Quick question on the onboard networking, do the drivers allow full gigabyte ethernet? If not, does anyone know of a card they would suggest?
  10. I'm considering upgrading my e6600 2.4 OCed to 3.2 to a new q6600 quad. I have p5w dh deluxe. Will I see much of a difference, and more importantly... Will I have to reinstall my OSes? I feel like this is such a noob question, a short answer will do thanks alf

    How hard?

I've used GRUB in the past when I triple booted Vista, OS X, and Ubuntu. You have to edit the menu.lst file, but there are lots of guides on it, and if you've used linux, you should be able to figure it out just fine. At the moment I'm using the darwin since I'm only running windows and OSX Here's a link to a guide I've been using: http://www.macgeekblog.com/blog/archive/20...bootloader.html
  13. Nice collections guys, I definitely know the feeling, the past couple of days I've been cleaning house on my hard drives, and install discs since they so easily accumulate. I had to toss a lot of old Vista, Ubuntu, and XP discs, and the ISO images... good grief. Now I'm down to just to the Kalyway 10.5.1, since it works great on both my desktop and laptop.
  14. Well, I have a p5w dh kalyway install, used both of his updates to get to 10.5.2 I installed fusion 1.1.1 and am using the vista install with SP1 already installed. Had to install vmware tools to get audio working. Everything seems to run ok, but I only have 1 core, and 512 ram allocated. I have 2 gigs of memory, and am now thinking of going to either 4 or 6 gigs. When I played with the vmware settings to use either both cores or video acceleration, it seemed to slow things down. I'm not sure if that's because I don't have my Core 2 6400 overclocked or because I'm only giving the virtual machine 512ram at the moment. Other than that, I'm quite pleased with how it's working. Having a Vista install in one of my "spaces" is pretty cool. alf
  15. just a note, there is a new "cereal" box, on the bay that has info for the new 1.1.1 version
