  1. It´s been ages since i installed a OSX on a PC and now i want to do it with my home rig. It´s a Gigabyte x58, i7-920 and Nvidia 275... and as far as i´ve read it should work fine. I want to install OSX and Win7 in a Intel X25M 80GB SSD, and i´d like to now which should be the recommended partitioning specs (size, order, active, logical, primary, format...) and what OS should be installed first. Which is the best Selecti OS loader for this config? Thanks in advance

Dell Optiflex 745 and Broadcom NIC

I´ve tried all the tricks on this forum anf have not been able to put it to work. Still the same damned network error. Has anyone been able to install osx on a Dell 745?
  3. Ok, I´ve read tons of threads before writing this, but i´m quite noob on osx install and can´t do a proper install on a Dell 745. I´ve installed the JAS 10.4.8+ppf1+defiant+ICH7 release with semthex kernel as read in the wiki. All works fine except the NIC... I´ve searched all over the forum to put to work, the Broadcom Nextreme 57xx Gigabit card. Firstly the card was not detected so i installed the moded AppleBCM57 kext and modified the added the vendor & device id to the parameters. After reboot, the network card is detected with 00:00:00:00:00:00 mac address as expected. When i try to change it i have this error ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCAIFADDR): Network is down administradors-computer:~ root# ifconfig lo0: flags=8049 mtu 16384 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 inet netmask 0xff000000 gif0: flags=8010 mtu 1280 stf0: flags=0<> mtu 1280 en0: flags=8823 mtu 1500 ether 00:00:00:00:00:00 media: 100baseTX () supported media: none autoselect 10baseT/UTP 10baseT/UTP 10baseT/UTP 10baseT/UTP 10baseT/UTP 100baseTX 100baseTX 100baseTX 100baseTX 100baseTX 1000baseT 1000baseT 1000baseT administradors-computer:~ root# ifconfig en0 ether 00:18:8B:61:A3:75 ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCAIFADDR): Network is down administradors-computer:~ root# I´ve tried to put it up, to use the setMac script.. but nothing works... I´m desperate. Can anyone be kind enough to give me some hints about what is happening? Thanks in advance
