  1. nvdaresman causing hang!

I managed to get mine working by not changing ANY graphics drivers! Full resolutions and good preformance!
  2. nvdaresman causing hang!

I managed to fix mine, Turns out the hang had nothing to do with the graphics! What card do you have? Mine actually worked natively after I did a fresh install. I managed to fix the issue by using nullcpupowermanagement.kext and I think that was it!
  3. Cheap Internal Sound Card

Just incase anyone wants a cheap sound card I've found one that works flawlessly on 10.7 and 10.8! I havent tested input, only output (though apparently both work) Sound quality wise, dont expect to be blown away. The highs are okay but the lows can be 'soggy' not bad for £10 though UK USA Kext
  4. Hi, I've managed to get graphics strings working on my gts 250 but I just cant manage to get any resolution apart from 1024x768 on mountain lion. I cant boot with nvdaresman.kext because when I do my pc hangs on 'dsmos has arrived' Is there any alternative to this kext or any way to fix this issue! And is nvdaresman.kext needed for every graphics enabling method to change resolution? Thanks in advance! Nipples
  5. GTS 250 Resolution?

Thanks for the response, I've tried DSDT before but I get compiling errors, Also, I have narrowed down the issue to being a problem with nvdanvresman.kext. It's the kext that allows resolution control and I cant boot with it because I get a hang on 'DSMOS HAS ARRIVED' Any ideas?
  6. GTS 250 Resolution?

Hi folks! I've had a lion hackintosh for quite a while now with smooth fully working graphics and no other issues. Since using mountain lion I cant get graphics working. My previous installation used kexts to get graphics working so I copied the nvidia kexts I had previously but that causes a hang at 'DSMOS HAS ARRIVED' . I have tried using nvenabler and nvdanv50hal and adding my graphics cards device id but no luck! I have also used graphics strings which has not helped change resolution, however it does get os x to recognise my card correctly in system profiler At the end of a verbose boot just before It goes to the login screen I get the following errors If you could help me out that would be great! Cheers, Mr Nipples
  7. Weird torrenting issue

Recently I have noticed that torrents fluctuate massively on my hackintosh (10.7 lion) but when I boot in windows they run fine. Any Ideas? I still get my max speed on speedtest.net so i'm inclined to think it's some kind of hard drive issue. Thanks in advance, Mr Nipples,
  8. Graphics card support

I had a HD 2400 that i couldn't get into 1920x1080 on my hackintosh! I bought a GT440 and it worked great but it wasn't great for gaming so I returned that and got a GeForce 6200 LE as a temporary graphics card and even with geforce kexts it won't go out of 1280x1024! With both the ATI and nVidia graphics cards, they are stuck in 4:3 resolutions, I have tried many different kexts. Could anyone reccomend kexts/methods for either of the cards so I can get a 1920x1080 resolution Thanks in advance!
  9. MSI R5450 - Good Buy?

Thanks for the response guys... Anyway i've gone for the nvidia gt 440 1gb!
  10. MSI R5450 - Good Buy?

I currently have a HD2400 and I can only get it into 1920x1080 in safe mode, when in normal mode I get a white screen with a cursor. I've tried every solution I've found on the internet with no luck and so now I'm thinking of getting an MSI R5450 - http://www.msi.com/p...MD1GD3H-LP.html . Can anyone confirm that this card will definitely work on Lion? Thanks in advance! I've seen 5450 kexts that work but does it matter what make the card is or is it just the GPU that matters? Would I be better getting this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001DU7HWK/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_g147_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0P158VMFNQNK1MT8YR8B&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294 ?
  11. iAtkos L2 Booting Issues

I have AHCI and ACPI enabled, I have managed to get usb booting to work by using a ps/2 keyboard!
  12. iAtkos L2 Booting Issues

Hi, I have managed to install snow leopard (Hazzard's 10.6.6i) on two pc's including my current one that i want to get lion on. However, Lion is becoming a real issue for me! I cant install off a usb because when i do the keyboard doesnt work (must be a bug in the bios) so I am using an iAtkos L2 DMG. I had some issues involving 'waiting on root device' but i have now managed to get past this by swapping the sata port my dvd drive is plugged into and i'm currently stuck on an 'launchctl.c 2408' error. I have tried everything to get past this, I changed my smbios.plist to an aprropriate setup, i've tried tons of bootflags and I also installed chameleon and PCEFI 10.6 and copied the boot file from 10.7 to the root of the dmg and then burned but still no luck! Any ideas? Sometimes when I boot I get a 'USBMSC identifier non-unique' but very rarely and 'USBBootFix=yes' doesn't seem to fix that. If i install PCEFI to a mounted (read/write) DMG and burn it is that just the same as installing it to a memory stick? Just wondering because i know that some files such as boot0 go onto the mbr and I dont know if DMG files take MBR into account? Thanks in advance! Also, if the disk i burn on is scratched, could that be why I am getting this error?
