1. First tries

I used the user_01's method in page 4, then installed the compatible chameleon (with machine configured to iMac 11,3, graphics enabler=yes etc, to the external drive so it could boot. I got the files from this tutorial; http://thetecherra.c...tart-to-finish/. Graphics work fine with graphics enabler=yes, ethernet works with RTL kexts in the extra folder. Joining the search and address bar to one in new safari is a nice touch. My 0dB setup (yes no noise, no fans) is as follows; Hackintosh; P7P55D-E PRO motherboard with a Core i7 8GB RAM Zotac GT 430 1GB silent video card NOFAN Set A400 (case, CPU cooler and PSU) OCZ Vertex 2 SSD 120GB

A USB DVD ROM is used when needed. This PC case is quite small, a bit fiddly to assemble. So if you are a newbie I suggest you should buy the already assembled machine from quietpc.com. It is pricey but absolutely no noise, no moving parts. I have done a quick stress test by encoding video with Handbrake, CPU temperature went up to 54C after 10 minutes of almost 100% CPU use (ambient temperature 22 in the room). I think the CPU cooler is impressive. I highly recommend this for the home music studio enthusiasts. My favourite SW is Logic, use Hw interfaces; Tascam FW-1082 and Profire 2626. Beware hardcore gamers, this rig is not for you. :angry2:
3. What about Via VT1828S

Thanks again. You are absolutely right. Now I know the kexts I need to put in the extra folder.
4. What about Via VT1828S

Thank you for your reply. The only way I know to check the loaded extensions is using system profiler. And it does not show any of the hacked kexts. Screen Grabs attached. extensions.tiff extensions1.tiff
5. What about Via VT1828S

Hooray I found the solution to the audio glitches. After following the guide installing snow leopard on P7P55D-E PRO using ##### and ##### I was disappointed to come across the audio glitches. I tried installing the DSDT file and the power chord trick with no luck. With my profire2626 and tascam 1082, these pops and crackles drove me mad. I had to set the buffers to 512 to get a crackle free performance from Logic. I noticed that when ever there was a sudden increase in CPU usage there were crackles and pauses of playing sound. My theory was that it's a timing issue at the kernel level due to the fake smc kext. But hey I am no computer expert! So I skipped the last step of the guide; installing #####. Yes that's right do not install #####. Only caveat is that I have to use the ##### cd to boot my hackintosh all the time. So I do not have an extra folder, no fake smc kext, no voodooHDA kext and no kext for LAN. But every thing is working fine. Now I can set my buffers to 128 with no crackles. I have set up an aggregate device with motherboard audio+profire+tascam. The profire and the tascam clocks are synched to the spdif out from the motherboard. So I suggest a fresh install and do not install #####, use ##### CD to boot the machine.

7. Thanks Dougaa you tutorial works perfect for my XBX2.
8. thanks for the info, dell.co.uk sell it for 22 now. I salvaged a realtek 8187L from sister's broken laptop. Working fine with the latest realtek drivers. I am sorry to disappoint, we are talking about a wifi card for 20
9. where did you buy it for £15? One guy in ebay sell it for £20
10. I guess wifi is still broken. When that's fixed I will get rid of windows xp from my advent 4211!
11. New iPhone has the Tegra chip!

Ok, I give up.
12. New iPhone has the Tegra chip!

The new iPhone must be Tegra based.
13. New iPhone has the Tegra chip!

The timing of Nvidia revealing Tegra, Tegra is ARM based, we know that new iPhone is not Atom based, rumors about new iPhone playing 1080p HD movies, increased battery life . . .
14. [SU] New Software updates
