1. Unable to burn a cd/dvd

I am doing a dual boot with windows xp. I reinstalled the latest firmware. That did not fix the issue. When I burn something with Burn. I get "The disc can’t be burned because because communication between the computer and the disc drive failed (error code 0x80020022)." Googled it, and found out that their is a huge issue with this for regular macs. Guess if I need to burn something. I will just use windows blaw
2. Unable to burn a cd/dvd

It worked fine when I did not have OSX. I will try it, but the thing is. I do not have it set up for dual boot. Do not think that a virtual machine will work, but will try.
3. When I put a blank disk in. The system recognizes that one is puts in, and asks what to do. However when I go to burn it. The drive spins and the light flashes like it is burning, but that is all it does. It keeps doing that until I reboot the system. Is their a .kext that I can use. I tried to search for it on Google, but can't find any thing. My dvd/cd is a SATA Samsung light scribe. The BIOS shows it as TSST Corp CDDVDW SH-S203N. The system profiler shows the drive as the same thing.
4. Post install error on boot

Try Hazard. I have been using it on my amd for about a month with no issues. I have done the 10.6.8 update that is posted on their forum. The only issue I had was with a samba share that was easily fixed. I forgot to mention. On the initial install. I had to install the forcedeath lan drivers. Other then that everything went smoothly. On another note your hardware might not be compatible. Check the compatibilaty list http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page If you need it for school and can't get it installed on your dell. You can always try to run it in a virtual machine like vmware, virtualbox, or virtual PC to name a few.

6. Apps wont install on my hackintosh

Do you fulfill the hardware requirements?
7. I successfully installed snow leopard 10.6.0 by using Hazard. Should I update snow leopard by using Mac update or by other means? My hardware is as fallows: Motherboard Asus M2N-MX SE Plus CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Graphics Nvidia GeForce 95000 GT I had to run forcedeth to get the network to work. I chose all audio and lan drivers during installation. Audio does work. P.S. How would I report it to the correct people so they can add my hardware to the list.
8. AMD Hackintosh

##### is just for Intel. No love for AMD

10. Help with SATA BIOS setting

Well I was able to boot into the installation. What I did was used a snow leopard disk.
11. Confused on SATA options in BIOS

This post was actually meant to be put in leopard. Instead of Lion. Sorry. Well I was able to boot into the installation. What I did was used a snow leopard disk.
12. Kernel Error

I was able to boot into the installation by using Hazard. Thanks for your help. I will probably install it tomorrow. On another note. Does Mac use linux's fstab? Does Mac recognizes Linux's JFS? I might install it on my home file server. Not sure. It has 3 partition. 1st is swap, 2nd the OS and any installed software, and 3rd my stored files. Speaking of swap. Can Mac use one partition just for the swap file? I am a virgin when it comes to macs.
13. Kernel Error

I've tried that as well. I get the infamus "Still waiting for root device" on all distros I am trying. I know what is going on. I have posted the issue http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=267990.
14. Kernel Error

I've tried that as well, and iDeneb. I get the infamus "Still waiting for root device" on all distros. I know what is going on. I have posted the issue http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=267990. I have not herd back about the fix. I found out that I may need to Get AT LEAST PPF 1. Burning that now. Hope that will work.
15. I get the infamas "Still waiting for root device" when installing. I found out that I need to set my SATA bios settings to emulate or compatibility or something like that, NOT native or RAID or AHCI. However their is no option under SATA like that (or anywhere in BIOS). What I do have is PIO mode and DMA mode. The PIO mode has auto, 0-5?. The DMA mode has auto, SWDManX = SinglewordDMAn, MWDMAnX = MultiWordDMAn and UDManX = UltraDMAn. X = numbers 1-5? The BIOS has both DMA and PIO mode on auto. I have no time to go through all combinations. My motherboard is an Asus M2N-MX SE Plus with the latest BIOS. Just flashed today. I have a SATA DVD drive (samsung lightscribe) and an IDE hard drive. Thank you!!
