  1. Hey guys, I have tried several things even as much as creating more partitions (through gparted) but no matter what, OSX86 shows the drive as 128GB. If I create 2 partitions of 60GB and 400GB, the OSX isntaller as well as the final OSX install views the HDD as 128GB max. It actually views the second partition as 70GB, which adds up to 128GB. My idea was to make a bunch of 128GB partitions and have 4 partitions in total. This would have been fine but it just shrinks them all to fit inside 128GB maximum. Kalyway 10.6.2 Intel Server Motherboard Sata 500GB HDD. (Linux and Bios sees all 500GB btw) Ideas?
  2. Intel Server Mobo + 8800GTS 320MB

Bump. Still no solution found. I get basic video through the card though.
  3. Intro Hey guys, I'm a linux guy so I'm not afraid to get down and dirty here. With that said my current project is to install osx86 onto this server motherboard and get the 8800gts working with QE/CL. I currently have a working system with Ethernet but no sound or DVD drive. The DVD drive wont reconize and I did not yet install a sound card. I am using the chocolate_kernel and do not need any boot flag to boot up. The real problem is the graphics. If I can get this up I don't care about DVD or sound. Setup Intel Server mobo (I think this is the board) Dual Processor - Dual Core 3.0Ghz 4GB DDR2 - 800Mhz 8800gts 320mb [g80] 320GB - Portable HDD (for sandboxing/installing) iPortable Snow Leopard 10.6.2 - chocolate_kernel Problem The 8800gts 320mb [G80] will not install. No QE/CL, no hardware acceleration. No Front Row. I have tried the following: GraphicsEnabler=yes EFI Studio OSX86 Tools EFI tool GraphicsEnable.pkg (or something rather. I can get the exact name) Deleted Framebuffer.kext & installing the kexts that come with iPortable Snow I have tried 3 different EFI strings that I all found online. iPortable Snow comes with NVinject and NVenabler but they are pkg and I cannot find any documentation on them on the internet. Funny thing about the EFI strings, they install to a directory NOT in Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist . I have to copy the plist from a different directory where EFI Studio and OSX86 Tools spits it out and copy it to the Extras folder. Please help I am 5 days into this and I have lost sleep over it thinking I am 'almost there' with each step. Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated!
  4. I have scoured the internet with no success. I have asked all my geeky friends in real life. No one know what I'm trying to do. I'm working with 10.5 because I heard greater results with installing on an EEE-PC 900a. So I'm working with kalyway for now. I do NOT have a DVD drive to install from so I am trying to figure out how to clone this ISO to a HDD partition and install from that. I know that once I get the ISO on I will probably have to mess with the bootloader/sector (even though this HDD has OSX 1.6.2 currently installed on it so perhaps not if the bootsector keeps). I may also be searching for the wrong thing so if I am, and this is a common element in guides, I apologize. 5. Hey everyone! I'm an avid Mac and linux user who recently installed OSX 10.6.2 on his eeepc 900a. I've actually been poking around this site for about two weeks now and finally decided to join as this community seems the most helpful and fun to mess around in. I've scoured the internet for 2 weeks now for a working fix without any luck. I'm fairly certain im looking for a GMA950 driver but after trying 3 different ones (one was a kext) and breaking my install each time I decided to start from square one. People report getting 1024x600x32 resolution on their 900a's and this is what i'm aiming for. Currently i'm stuck in the default 800x600 resolution. What are the steps to installing video drivers on a netbook? Should I be installing AppleIntegratedFramebuffer.kext, GMA950.pkg or a variation of a 900 driver in kext form? I also am resetting my permissions with the included kext tool from iPortable Snow. iPortable Snow 10.5.2 EEE PC 900a 8GB Partition Specs on a 900HD (which isnt my model): http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=158233
