  2. HDA Wizard - Simple tool for AppleHDA.kext

Hi I have ALC883 chip on my board too. But I got these errors during boot up. Any idea what I might have missed? 27/6/13 12:20:39.000 AM kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1128 27/6/13 12:20:39.000 AM kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1053
  3. My GTS250 works out of the box in Lion (NVDANV50Hal.kext), but black screen in ML. Today I bought a cheap Palit GTX560SE to replace the GTS250 and it works out of the box on ML (NVDANV100Hal.kext). GraphicsEnabler must be = Yes.
  4. It appears not every card will work with ML. No problem with my 5870. I tried plug in a GTS250 and I have blank screen after boot up.
  5. Also, you need to do it in Windows XP not Windows 7. My learning.
  6. I have it installed with SnowLeopard 10A432 without problem. No KP nothing of that sort. This board is just so compatible that almost like install and run. On SkullTrail, I need to work around the IOATAFamily KP problem before got it running. I used on 2 kext in S/L/E : dsmos.kext and voodooHDA for sound. EFIV9 boot file Patched DSDT.aml
  7. How did you guys manage to run SL in 64 bit? I'm having KP during installation booting, and back trace to IOATAFamily.kext. I tried replace the IOATAFamily.kext with the one from Leopard and it boots fine only in x32 mode. No dice for x64. Guess its because the Leopard ATA kext does not support 64 bit.
  8. I'm setting up SL using this latest PCEFIv10, but keep getting KP at boot up with error "Type 14 = page fault". I tried these boot options "-v -x32, -v -x64, -v -x" but same error persists. Any idea what could be the problem? Thanks.
  9. Hello guys, why is it Safari download executable binary files as text file? Having this problem download V10 boot(binary file) in first page.

  11. There's only 1 person able to boot Snow Leopard on Hack and that is Netkas.
  12. OSx86 on Xeon

I see that you are using 8800GT. Just want to know did you removed the GeForce.kext and NVDResman.kext? I've got mine installed with retail leopard using boot132 CD. But I need to remove both the GeForce.kext and NVDResman.kext else kernel panic during boot. I believed it was conflicted with my HD2600XT on Natit. thanks.
  13. Skulltrail D5400XS and Mac OS X

I'd wished to have read your post earlier. I do agree Asus is a piece of {censored}. I was struggling for 2 days to get an DSAN-DX board to boot with out success. It didn't even get through the booting. Out of frustration I went out and bought a skulltrail. I thought I have had excellent success with an Intel DQ35JO earlier, Skulltrail would have been the same. And it was true. My installation (Boot 132 method with retail DVD) went through peacefully without any changes in the BIOS setting (I did flash the BIOS to the latest version). Come to think of it, I should have learned the lesson. The reason why I have the DQ35JO was because simply I'd failed to get my ASUS P5B to boot for installation (BrazilMac then). You are right. ASUS is a piece of {censored}.
  14. I include Natit.kext for my video card into the initrd.img and it loads without problem during booting. Next i tried to include patched AppleHDA.kext for my sound into initrd.img. But it doesn't load during boot up. Any idea why this is so? Was it because its the difference between the two (Natit and ALCInject)?
  15. Hello Superhai, I followed these steps here to create my own iso using Toast. But problem was created disc is not bootable. Where have I done wrong?
