1. OK, So I have two copies of Snow Leopard, one is a working 10.6.0 and one is the one I updated to 10.6.6 with the Chimera 10.5.3 however when I try to boot with -v there is a few pre booted things that appear for like half a second (as it usually would) but as the screen turn off as if it is going to boot up Snow Leopard and the kext nothing happens? I mean it doesn't boot a single thing because it won't even output a kernel log file. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my smbios.plist or org.chameleon.Boot.plist file? To help here is what is inside those files: smbios.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">'>http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>MacPro</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro5,1</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F221BEC8</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>G8031788GWR</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>#####.tonymacx86.com</string> </dict> </plist> NOTE: I have also tried the normal MacPro3,1 deffinition org.chameleon.Boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>arch=i386</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1024x768x32</string> </dict> </plist> Please Please Help

5. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Really sorry for being such a Noob Maldon, but could you explain what you mean by "use Extra folder first post if you need, use NULL" How do I go abouts doing this? this is about the only thing I don't understand. Many thanks for all your help as wel, can't thank you enoug for this
6. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Thanks for replying Meldon, the reason I never had 10.6.8 is because I would allways have the IntelCPUPowerManagement time out but I can see speedstep fixes this. I can pretty much do everything but what did you mean by "Use extra folder first post" and "MacBook pro8,1" is the MacBookPro8,1 just the little kext you can installin the ##### application? Thank you so much for helping me, I've done about 5 posts relating to this and no ones helped me
7. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Hi Maldon, Just wanted to say thank you so much for doing that custom dsdt for me! can't thank you enough. However after installing my custom dsdt and running system utilities with ##### and then installing Chameleon - 2.1 rc5 I get a blank screen. I did add the GeneratePStates and GenerateCStates in the org.chameleon.org.plist as well and I've also tried the Chimera 1.5.3 but I get a blank screen on that as well no hard drive activity or anything. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 any help with this would greatly be appreciated I've been trying to get a custom dsdt for ages and now I have one I can't boot
