  1. From appleTV I created two directorys off /Users/frontrow/Movies. mkdir /Users/frontrow/Movies/dvr1 mkdir /Users/frontrow/Movies/dvr2 mount -t nfs /Users/frontrow/Movies/dvr1 mount -t nfs /Users/frontrow/Movies/dvr2 This is how I connect to my NFS drives on Windows box. I am just running a NFS server and allow allow all hosts, read access.
  2. ATV Files Buffering Issues on AFP

It sounds like he is using an AFP mount to the /Users/frontrow/Movies directory. The source is the same it is just not local it is mounted. I am doing something similar but I am using NFS mounts and not using wireless. I would assume I would have the same stop / stuttering effects. Also I think the new version supports changing the root directory. I have not tried this myself and this is just a paste from awkwardTV. I am going to try some of these settings later. Version 0.2.1 (6) April 8, 2007 The preferences can be set using the defaults command, such as: defaults write net.ericiii.ATVFiles RootDirectory /mnt/Server Finder needs to be restarted to pick up any changes. The preferences available are: RootDirectory: The path it looks at when first entering the plugin. EnableFileDurations: Boolean, disable scanning files for their duration, as it can be slow. Default: YES VideoExtensions: Array of file extensions (without leading ".") that are video files. Default: (m4v, 3gp, m3u, pls, divx, xvid, avi, mov, wmv, asx, asf, ogm, mpg, mpeg, mp4, mkv, avc, flv, dv, fli, m2v, ts) AudioExtensions: Array of file extensions (without leading ".") that are audio files. Default: (m4b, m4a, mp3, wma, wav, aif, aiff, flac, alac, m3u, mp2
  3. I was having the same problem. Since my Movies and TV shows were in /Users/neztik/Movies and /Users/neztik/TV shows. I was unable to afp mount them without mounting the whole drive. So then I decided to do a NFS server on my Windows box and then I can mount -t nfs serverip:/Movies /Users/frontrow/Movies/Movies and so on. So I guess you could just get NFS server working on the OSX and do the same. I have alot of media on my Windows box so I decided to go that route. It is working great. I have 3 NFS shares all mounted in different directorys under /Users/frontrow/Movies and I can stream and play any of them. I too am ready to retire my XBMC. Just need a few more things like the ability to play my .img and .iso DVD movies. I am going to throw some 720p content at it later tonight. If anyone wants any more info on the NFS stuff I used in windows let me know.
  4. Wow. Cant wait to try this. I can then try some of my HD content. Then off to buy an AppleTV!
  5. Quake2 - CTF

Has anyone got any of the addons for Quake2 to run on their Intel? Passing the param +set game CTF, XARIX, ROGUE doesnt do anything. Am I missing something? Thanks
  6. Call of Duty 2

This thing runs awesome on my iMac 20" Intel. I picked the widescreen. And run at 1024x768. It plays perfectly.
  7. Quake 4 unibin

Well I burned the 2.8gig dmg to a DVD. Started the game up with no problem. I used the blade thing, and it seemed to work. I played for a few minutes. Came back and tried to start it up again, and I am getting that dont steal my artwork {censored}.
  8. Quake 4 unibin

I havent even tried to crack it. Are you saying that it wont tell you to insert the CD? I dont think that is the case. If it was looking for it, it would ask for it not just bounce and close. Correct me if I am wrong. :: I was wrong. :censored2: Just burn the disc and it will run.
  9. Quake 4 unibin

Tried to install the Quake 4 on my iMac Intel 20". It just bounces and closes. Anyone else running on an actual mac?
  10. rdesktop-cvs

Did you compile darwinports 1.2. Or is there a precompiled binary that I can install? I downloaded the 1.2 and it was for ppc. So when I do the sudo port install rdesktop I get the wrong architecture error. iMac-Intel:~ $ sudo port install rdesktop Password: no suitable image found. Did find: /opt/local/share/darwinports/Tcl/pextlib1.0/Pextlib.dylib: mach-o, but wrong architecture while executing "load /opt/local/share/darwinports/Tcl/pextlib1.0/Pextlib.dylib" ("package ifneeded" script) invoked from within "package_native require Pextlib 1.0" ("eval" body line 1) invoked from within "eval package_native $args" (procedure "package" line 14) invoked from within "package require Pextlib 1.0" (procedure "dportinit" line 309) invoked from within "dportinit ui_options global_options global_variations" Error: /opt/local/bin/port: Failed to initialize ports system, no suitable image found. 11. 10.4.5 upgrade & GMA900

First lets figure out what you mean by it works. Yes my GMA900 says it supports everything like QE / CI whatever. But I cannot change the resolution via the Display Panel in System Preferences. I also cannot force the 1680 x 1050 x 32 setting via the Boot.plist, it will just default to 1280x1024. If you are saying that you can use all resolutions via the Display Panel please post a file by file list of what .kexts / bundles / whatever your replaced. I must have missed one. Thanks
  12. Startup Chime?

Thanks. I grabbed it. To bad there is no way to play that before the gui starts, like at the grey screen.
  13. Startup Chime?

Yeah it would be cool to have the chime with OSX starts up on my hackintosh. I always get that warm fuzzy feeling when my iMac Core Dou startus up.
  14. rdesktop-cvs

On my systems, including my iMac Intel Core Duo the Microsoft RDP client takes forever to startup using rosetta. It also seems to start only when it feels like it. I wasnt having any luck with the Darwinports, so that is why I decided to compile it myself. I will take a look at the darwinports again.
