  1. New Driver for Realtek RTL8111

I have a Realtek 8111C network card in my HP Pavilion Elite m9180a, there's only been one kext that's worked for me since I started using Yosemite and that is RealtekR1000SL.kext. It's not very stable though and randomly disconnects however this does resolve itself after restarting my PC. I'm using Clover and have my own DSDT and SSDT specific to my PC, although after adding RealtekRTL8111.kext to my Clover's 10.11 folder and deleting RealtekR1000SL.kext, the Ethernet connection in System Preferences just says Ethernet is not connected. I've tried removing the Ethernet profile from System Preferences prior to restarting my PC too - no luck yet. Any ideas why I can't get this to work?
  2. I'm using Clover. I've attached the AppleHDA.kext that worked on Mavericks that had 5.1 sound and the mic working correctly. If someone could help me get it working that'd be great. I've seen some posts about it but they're confusing so I assume I'm doing something wrong. DSDT.aml.zip Mac.ioreg.zip AppleHDA.kext.zip
  3. 5.1 sound on ALC888S

I've tried this, I've setup the configuration up perfectly but it still only plays from 2 out of 6 speakers. If anyone wants to help, I've added more system info here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/293863-applehda-patch-requests/page-38?do=findComment&comment=2008377
  4. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

I've read it, but I don't understand how to set it all up :/
  5. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

I have ALC888S and need 5.1 sound and the Mic audio working. Can someone help me create the kext? I can install it using myHack.
  6. 5.1 sound on ALC888S

I'm using a modified AppleHDA.kext which makes the 2.1 sound and Mic work but I got new 5.1 speakers and I can't get them to work. There split up to 3 different outputs in the Sound preferences. I've tried joining them together as seen on some YouTube tutorials but it still only plays through far left and far right, left and right or bass and center. I can't get them all to work at the same time. Any ideas? i've seen this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/293001-mavericks-realtek-alc-applehda-audio/ but I don't understand what to do..
  7. I changed the codes in layout id and it's working fine now, both output and input.
  8. I've added the kext to my /Extra/Extentions setup, I found the HDEF section in my DSDT and this is the code: Device (HDEF) { Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x04) { "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "PinConfigurations", Buffer (Zero) {} }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } And this is what the code is meant to look like: Device (HDEF) { Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000) Method (_PRW, 0, NotSerialized) { Return (Package (0x02) { 0x0D, 0x05 }) } Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x04) { "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x78, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00 }, "PinConfigurations", Buffer (Zero) {} }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } But the layout is different and I'm unsure what to do now - ideas?
  9. Yeah but I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I download the files, extract them (I'm assuming I need legacy) so I delete 888.zip and rename 888_v100202 to 888.zip and run the command, but all I get is heaps of "No such file or directory"? I'm uaing myHack if that's of any help.
  10. I've attached a DxDiag.txt for my PC and here's the link to my desktop specifications: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=3644723&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c01333413-23%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken What else would you need? DxDiag.txt
  11. Could someone move this to post installation? Didn't notice it was in the wrong area.
  12. Hey, I've got everything working on my Mavericks install but the input audio (output works just fine) but it worked fine in Mountain Lion. I had to install this kext (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290361-alc-888-dp2-2/?p=1931876) though to get output sound in Mavericks, now to just get input to work. Any ideas on how to fix this? I use it heaps as I route my Xbox sound into my PC through to my PC speakers using LineIn.
  13. Ethernet is not working, either is audio. Though I believe the Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio kext will fix that -just figuring out how to find which ALC I have. With the Ethernet though (most important) I've tried adding Yes to EthernetBuiltIn but that didn't work, Ethernet worked out of the box on Mountain Lion with EthernetBuiltIn as yes in the org.Chameleon.Boot.plist - what could be the problem? Looking at an old DxDiag.txt I have, it seems I have Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) As for audio, in the DxDiag.txt it just appears as High Definition Audio Controller. Edit - Found a working AppleHDA for my ALC888 in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290361-alc-888-dp2-2/ Now to just fix the Ethernet..
  14. I'm using myHack, so FakeSMC is there. Done, I've attached the installer log - can you tell me what's wrong? 10.8.5 - Installer Log 28-Oct-2013.txt
  15. Are this BIOS settings right? I used a different SMBios and I got passed 13 minutes left, but got the error at 8 minutes left this time..
