  1. Msi p31 neo

I found the BIOS and installed it, but I still run into the same issue...should I try with an external DVD drive or something? Also, is ACPI2.0 something I have to download and update? because I know the board is ACPI 2.0 compliant. Sorry for not knowing so much. I appreciate all your help.
  2. Hey guys, my friend and I were arguign whether MSI makes a decent motherboard for OSX86. I have had some terrible experiences with my P31 Core2duo mobo and my friend says they're fine. Either way, I'm building a new system and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for a good Intel Core2Duo microATX mother board that runs OSX86 without skipping a beat. No sound issues, nothing. Greatly appreciate all your help.
  3. MSI P31 Neo

Hey guys, I've been working with OSX86 for a couple years now with hit or miss results. When it works, it's amazing, but that's rarely. For the last half a year, I've been trying to get OSX to work on my MSI P31 Neo mobo with Core2 Duo E6750 and 2GB ram with Foxconn 8600GT...my DVD drive is IDE and my 250GB HD is SATA. I've read from Orendil in an earlier forum that he was able to get Kalyway 10.5.1 to run on a setup identical to mine and a lot of you other guys too, but I have not been able to replicate the results. I haven't been fortunate enough to even reach the install screen where I select English as my language. Not even an old JAS 10.4.8 disk works. It keeps stopping at an ACPI error... I have no clue where to go with this system. I hear that some of you guys were lucky to get it to work. I'd just like to see this working. Thanks guys.
