  1. Hi guys, so for the past few weeks i have been messing around with my new hackintosh, i have successfully installed Mountain Lion on my HP Pavilion G6, and i currently have the wireless and sound working.. heres my list: Wireless Sound Working Sound Fault (Explained Below) Ethernet HDMI (Sound/Audio) IMessage (need to look into as havent yet) Facetime (need to look into as havent yet) Change Resolution USB Ports Ok so yeah the too mains are done i suppose but here is the others explain. Sound Fault I have successfully got my sound to work, the only problem i am having is that when i change the master volume on the top tool bar it doesnt affect the voodooHDA i have to go into voodooHDA and change it in there. I have heard this is common and i have tried and failed so many times to fix. Ethernet This is personally a weird one, i have made 3 different hackintosh's now and ethernet always seems to install and work perfectly on its own, the only difference is for my HP Pavilion G6 it doesnt work. I have tried TonyMacx ##### kexts but that still doesnt work. HDMI (Sound/Audio) This is on going, i have tried again so many times to make this work but when it comes to editing DSDT's i have no knowledge at all. Maybe someone who has services in this area could send a PM to try and sort something out? iMessage/Facetime Both of these like to sign in but then when i receive a call on facetime or a message on iMessage they decide to crash, i havent actually looked into this so for this i am not asking for help as of yet as i like to try things myself. Changing Resolution This is something that really bugs me because it is a critical part of a Laptop/Desktop Display, i assume that it is something todo with my Display drivers maybe half the problem is the HDMI as that is the graphics card for the full system? im not too sure? USB Ports Again another intresting one for me, this is the first machine i have encountered this problem with. Only one USB port works and that is the port i used to install Mountain Lion via USB Drive. Has anybody else encountered this? ----System---- HP Pavilion G6 750GB HDD 4GB Ram Intel Core i3 2.4GHZ IntelHD 3000 Graphics This post has taken me over 25minutes to post. Please share any advice you may have that can help me towards the completion of my hackintosh! Many Thanks, Ash
  2. Hi guys, okay so my new wireless card come today so I was able to put it in my laptop and bring internet to my hackintosh. I have another problem.. as usual.. I have gone to go on youtube and I have had to install flash, fair enough, but then I install restart hackintosh etc go back on youtube and anything that is flash is just flickering it wont play because of the flicker either. I have posted another topic about my graphics which I still haven't been able to sort out I was just wondering if my graphics card isn't being used properly by the mac osx therefor causing flash problem? could fixing my HDMI (having to install kexts) solve this problem? thanks ash!
  3. VoodooHDA Volume Fix

hi, erm, what do you mean by rig? and also yes I am trying to no video/audio through hdmi yet that is another thing I need to solve but at the moment im just concentrating on the system slider for just when im using the laptop speakers still nothing yet tho
  4. VoodooHDA Volume Fix

Acording to windows in 'dxdiag' it just says "HD AUDIO" and in device manager it says "High Defination Audio Device" im presuming its using the sound from my graphics card which is an IntelHD 3000. Thanks
  5. Hi guys, I have my audio working on my hackintosh laptop, but when I change the system slider the volume doesn't change. I have tried the "VoodooHDAVolumeFixChange" from false to true, but that just disables it and I have no sound at all. I then use VoodooLoader and it loads fine and works again but the slider still doesn't work with the "VoodooHDAVolumeChangeFix" in effect. is there any other solutons for the volume slider? I am running mountain lion 10.8.2. Thanks
  6. HDMI output

Hi, I have just about everything working on my hackintosh, the only problem I have is my HDMI output, I plug the hdmi in and the tv changes to the input of my laptop BUT there is no sound and no visual image.. please can someone help! Specs: HP Pavilion G6, Intel HD 3000 Graphics, 4GB Ram, 750GB HDD, Intel Core i3 2.39GHZ. Thanks in advance.
  7. Funny enough as a HACKINTOSH user i had this same problem.. but now im in middle of doing the install with only 1 stick of ram and it looks to be working i will update to say if complete and how i fixed it if not.. this is a little note for hackintosh users.. just because its worked once doesn't mean it will work all the time and if you are using a retail version like me (purchased) then be sure to keep the disk well looked after Mordzy thanks for this post i found it on google and it helped a lot !
  8. Ok so im new to the forum so quick hey.. basically ive been messing around putting osx on laptops since 10.4 but lately ive given up due to the lack of completion.. example.. i now have my laptop running 10.6.3 SL.. everything works, battery, display, sound, ethernet BUT my wireless wont.. for the last 4 days ive been searching around forums getting information and now boom this is where im up to.. so earlier today i took out my atheros AR5007 wireless card and replaced it with a Broadcom one PCI-E Mini by the way.. and now kismac picks up my wireless hub great huh? no.. i have airport symbol on the menu bar across the top of the screen BUT airport wont turn on.. ive tried deleting it and adding again ive tried the airport assistant and even when that forces the airport to turn on it doesnt detect my wireless hub only kismac does.. ive used broadcom kexts etc and still nothing after several reboots ONLY kismac picks up my wifi not airport.. so my question is where do i go from here? how do i get airport to work so i can connect to my wifi so i can be a happy hackintosh user? thanks
