1. Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3

Well, I have sadly removed this board from the case in favour of another GigaByte board as no ethernet drivers actually work (even the above linked ones). The drivers light up the board in the config screen, then immediately switch to (Disconnected). It appears as though there is no power to the onboard nic with any drivers I have tried and there are no activity or connect led's lit on the physical interface. That said, I have seen several references to this issue and it may be fixed in the future with a DSDT file perhaps. I simply used ##### with a retail DVD of SnowLeopard, ran the 10.6.4 update package, then before quitting the upgrader, I ran #####. I selected supported kernel (easy beast), and added VooDooHDA. This gave me a fully functional system with the exception of the ethernet as mentioned. One note, the BIOS must have the sata controller set to AHCI. And even with that, I have had issues with the boot loader and HDDs over 1T. Cheers, lzthqx
2. Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3

All but ethernet thus far. 10.6.4 using ##### and #####. nVidia 9400PCIe as well.
3. Biostar H55 HD

Using this board TH55B HD. Works great (added nVidia 8400). Used ##### and ##### and it is working 100% (using Realtec driver and VooDooHDA) Cheers.
4. Thanks again Yoni Yoni, I tend to agree it's hardware, but I will test out the BIOS as a last resort. I am dubious about it being the PSU however, but only because I can delete AppleIntelGMA950.kext, and the Shuttle will run for days without a hitch. AS soon as I add that file back in, it crashes on either loginwindow, or seconds after. Which BIOS version is everyone running?
5. It was running Leopard just fine for months. I decided to upgrade it when it came back with some driver issues and such (they installed frostwire, and a bunch of other {censored}, and I suspect they accidentally deleted some important files). Im going to have to try and get Leopard on it tomorrow. Good times...
6. Well now, thanks for all the help. I have completely reinstalled, and followed Yoni Yoni exactly (guessed at BIOS settings as his link was broken). Booted into SL via -s and moved the AppleIntelGMA950.kext to the desktop so I could get booted. I then rebooted no problem, and updated to 10.6.1. This time, I was able to boot to SL, and log in. I immediately selected "About this MAc" and was greeted with the correct info (and rotate supported, which indicated CI/QE). 10 seconds later fwap.. reboot. I am seriously considering the possibility there is something wrong with the box. Thanks again guys for the help, I am quite certain I am configured in the same manner as you.
7. Yessir. I bought the retail OSX install. I have just made my own DSDT with the appropriate mods (no problems/errors/warnings). It reboots as soon as loginwindow tries to appear. One odd thing I did see, was a warning during startup about dependencies with AppleIntelGMA950.kext methods. Perhaps I have gremlins.
8. Thanks Eliade. The reason I began modding video kexts in the first place, was because the video was causing instant reboot at loginwindow with the default kexts. This was a clean default SL install. I'll keep plugging away at it I guess :-) Hopefully there isn't an issue with the MB. Cheers!
9. Great guide Eliade. I am struggling with an issue that has plagued me for days. My 10.6 install is completely functional.. as long as I do not use AppleIntelGMA950.kext. If I boot without that file, I can boot into SL no problem, with full resolution, no CI/QE. If I boot WITH that file (the default install from SL), the machine reboots instantly upon attempting loginwindow. I can boot with -x of course. I have tried a pile of GMA and Framebuffer combos, and the closest I come is what I have now, (not sure where I got this pair of GMA/Framebuffer), but it boots to loginwindow blue screen, then flashes various shades of blue as it tries to draw the login window (doesnt instantly reboot however). I have done permissions/cache rebuild after every change. Im using the GMA & Framebuffer in S/L/E. I have tried com.apple.Boot.plist both with, and without GraphicsEnabler enablered. I am using your DSDT and files from the K45 pack you posted. This is driving me completely mad! Any ideas are welcome, i'm at a loss t this point. I've got about 5 SL machines running up till now, but this one is killing me lol. Cheers!
10. Quick update.. Using SilentNatit.kext on SL, I have full QE/CI, and am playing HD content without difficulty. Cheers!
11. Just an update: Managed to get QE/CI working perfectly now on the ION 330. When using NVinject.kext, I would get resolution change ability, but no QE/CI. I switched to SilentNatit (64), but had to modify the NVCAP settings to match the IONs onboard GPU. I changed it from <data>BAAAAAAAAwAMAAAAAAAABwAAAAA=</data> (the default in Natit.kext) to <data>BAAAAAAAAwAcAAAAAAAACgAAAAA=</data>. Blammo! Full video goodness, with resolution change ability, and QE/CI. The only odd thing I can see, is that it wont load Natit.kext from my hidden EFI partition on boot, only from S/L/E. Same as Voodoo.kext. Perhps I', missing some there too. Cheers!
12. Thanks Noob766. My lspci was posted in my original reply as an image (snapped it via remote-desktop). I did come across the DSDTSE app last night, and looked through the chipset hacks you listed. Sadly, I believe the ION chipset is unique in that it is neither the desktop or laptop profile given its unique architecture. There is NO Device (PEGP) in my .aml file. For kicks, I tried that code, but never could find the right spot to insert/replace existing code in my current file given its differences. I think I either overwrote too much, or didnt insert enough. I am still reading up on it, and will not let the 7 or 8 failed compiles deter me hehe. Found this using ioreg.. looks important to my untrained eye... (image attached)
13. The Asrock ION 330 uses the new nVidia ION chipset (I believe it's a 9400m). It reads as 0x087d10de. http://www.asrock.com/nettop/spec/ION%20330.asp I tried NVinject (works for res changes, but no QE/CI). Tried NVEnabler, no dice at all (I placed the 0x087d10de in the appropriate files). I was thinking I needed to do some voodoo with dsdt.aml to get this working. Here is an LSPCI Cheers!
14. With my current config, I cannot play HD content (disabled HT and having to use NVinject). It actually has trouble with SD content. My Acer Revo with XBMC Live however is playing 1080p content flawlessly. I am anxious to get the 9400m properly recognized (dsdt.aml I'm guessing), and I bet QT10 will be able to play the clips. Anyone with suggestions.. Im all ears :-) Curiously, iPhoto '09 can import and display photos, but when you select edit, it's just black screen. suckage! Asrock ION 330 2GRAM SnowLeopard
15. Reporting success on my Asrock ION 330. Thanks for this guide and for all the contributors. Used the Hidden EFI partition method, and booted from a second partition with the installer files aboard. Used the 'boot' file, fakesmc.kext, NullCUManagement.kext, OpenHaltRestart.kext, VooDooHDA (64), and NVinject.kext (cant for the life of me figure out EFI strings or dsdt.aml fix for this). Had to disable Multithread in BIOS (would love to solve this too. I even tried using dtst auto patcher without effect) Video is choppy (again, Im sure this can be remedied with proper strings/aml) Otherwise.. It's sure a sweet little big cat, snappy in all other ways other than videos. Cheers.
