  4. HD 2000 working full-resolution

    hi I managed to get the HD 2000 to work full resolution (No acceleration), without any extra .kext. Installed on a Asrock H61M-S IGP VM set to Auto on UEFI, Processor is a Pentium G860 (Sandy Bridge). During install i noticed that the native resolution of the screen was correctly detected, upon first boot the system hang just before the login screen, with a grey screen and the spinning ball.Check logs Jan 31 12:24:27 Joaos-iMac.local WindowServer[83]: Created shield window 0x8 for display 0x1a493e80 Jan 31 12:24:27 Joaos-iMac.local WindowServer[83]: Display 0x1a493e80: MappedDisplay Unit 0; ColorProfile { 2, "ASUS VH242"}; TransferFormula (1.000000, 1.000000, 1.000000) Jan 31 12:24:27 Joaos-iMac.local UserEventAgent[106]: cannot find useragent 1102 Jan 31 12:24:28 Joaos-iMac.local loginwindow[42]: Login Window Started Security Agent Jan 31 12:24:28 Joaos-iMac.local SecurityAgent[116]: This is the first run Jan 31 12:24:28 Joaos-iMac.local SecurityAgent[116]: MacBuddy was run = 0 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: stampWait: Overflowed checking for stamp 0x63 on MAIN ring: called from Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: timestamp = 0x0012 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: **** Debug info for *possible* hang in MAIN graphics engine **** Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: ring head = 0x000006a0, wrap count = 0 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: ring tail = 0x00002618 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: ring control = 0x0000f001 enabled, auto report disabled, not waiting, semaphore not waiting, length = 0x010 4KB pages Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: timestamps = 0x0012 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: Semaphore register values: Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: VRSYNC: (0x12044) = 0x12 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: BRSYNC: (0x22040) = 0x0 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: RVSYNC: (0x 2040) = 0x0 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: BVSYNC: (0x22044) = 0x0 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: RBSYNC: (0x 2044) = 0x0 Jan 31 12:24:34 Joaos-iMac kernel[0]: VBSYNC: (0x12040) = 0x0 If i boot safe mode i would get the native resolution, and the graphics model would be correctly identified. 5. Here it is AirMac_Extreme_802.11n_Enabler.pkg.zip
  6. Hi everyone This past week i bought a Dell 1505 a/b/g/n for 35$ on ebay, and today took off my 3945, placed the dell 1505 on it's place , and voilá it was detected as an Airport Extreme with A/B/G support. I wanted also n draft support, so i took somewhere around the web the Airport Extreme N enabler, and try it to run it, but i didn't run, because there some kind of error with the supported hardware. So as a short short tutorial, Mount the dmg. Copy the Installation package to somewhere, Show package Contents Open Contents/Distribution.dist with a text editor and delete this lines: <volume-check script='volumeCheck()'/> <installation-check script='installationCheck()'/> this just avoids any check, read the both javascript functions and confirm you can do it on your "Mac". It worked for me Hope this helps!
  7. iBook G4 12" doesn't start up.

Oh god, give me A+ certification then, i have opened mine for 4 times... Check if you aren't one of those unlucky, with hard disk controllers that screwed things.try to boot from a firewire disk.
  8. Fingerprint reader

Hi there I also been doing some search regarding this, i found some software verifinger SDK, that says that supports my fingerprint sensor AESXXXX from autentech i don't remember the model number now. The device is viewable on the USB probe... so i guess is just a matter of getting a working driver! OS X has built in software for fingerprint reading? As soon as i finish my exams i will start working at my Syntek webcam, fingerprint sensor, and my ricoh card reader!
  9. Mac OS on an Asus

Hi i am also from portugal, my ibook disk controller died, and i was low on money so i bought a packard bell bu45, for 699eur , i guess it haves asus mainboard, F13TV or something , as detected by asus-laptop acpi linux kernel module, it's a 12.1" , with 1.9 kg laptop with webcam, fingerprinter reader, T5500, 120 gb seagate momentus, ALC660 (not working), and ipw3945 not working going to exchange for a broadcom card... the sound is a pain in the ass, but graphics are perfect at 1280x800
