  1. [COMING SOON] Mavericks installation guide for AMD machines

What I meant was if people were still developing this tutorial. I'm waiting eagerly for it to be released.
  2. [COMING SOON] Mavericks installation guide for AMD machines

Are people still working on this?
  3. Really happy to see graphics working properly on AMD! I'm looking forward to installing this on my machine, but it's been a while since I last installed a Hackintosh. I'm a bit lost in all this new information... Would any of you be kind enough to help me get started? My system: AMD FX-8350 Asrock 970 Extreme4 Asus GTX580 1536mb 8gb DDR3 1600MHz
  4. Is there a significant performance loss, because of the emulation of SSSE3? Can't wait to have a fully functional Hackintosh with hardware I thought to be forever incompatible. (Phenom 955BE & GTX 580)
  5. So does this run in 64-bit yet on AMD. What are the chances I'll be able to run it on my pc? AMD Phenom II 955 Asrock 970 Extreme4 8gb DDR3 1600mhz Asus GTX580 DCII 1536mb Samsung 830 256gb SSD Except for my GTX580 everything should run fine?
  6. Quadro drivers GTX580 - Monitor goes to sleep at boot.

Awesome! Is moving those kexts away enough to prevent the driver from interfering with future solutions, though? Thanks a bunch.
  7. Hey all! I've encountered so many problems with my AMD Lion 10.7.3 install, but finally got past most of them. However when I got to installing the Quadro 4000 drivers for Mac to get my GTX580 to work, it went wrong again... Verbose boot shows that the NVDAGF100HAL.kext is loaded and registered, but at the point when I should be reaching the desktop, the monitor goes to sleep. The system seems to boot up just fine, but I just don't get any display. Tried connecting my monitor to HDMI and both of the DVI slots. Google tells me that there are more people with this problem, but I couldn't find a working solution. Thanks! Hardware: ASUS M4A77, Phenom II X4 955BE, 6gb DDR2, ASUS GTX580 DCII.
  8. [Asus M4A77] ''Still waiting for root device''

I figured out why it wasn't working for me. The kernel simply wouldn't work with 10.7.4, stick with 10.7.3. Also don't forget to install FakeSMC. 10.7.3 worked for me.
  9. Hey all. So I installed 10.7.4 on my HDD through a Macbook 2009, installed Chameleon and the AMD kernel. Everything seems to load pretty quickly, but booting verbose shows that it gets stuck @ ''still waiting for root device''. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but at boot it also tells me that it failed to load the AppleFilesystemDriver. Things I tried: - Sata mode is set to AHCI in BIOS. - Tried PCIRootUID=0, UseKernelCache=No, GraphicsEnabler=No. Though might have missed the golden combination! What to do? Thanks in advance, Robin EDIT: Hardware: AMD Phenom II X4 955BE ASUS M4A77 6gb DDR2 ASUS GTX580 DCII
  10. Problems booting to Chameleon [AMD]

Problem solved by connecting the HDD internally.
  11. Hey all! Just installed Lion 10.7.4 to an external HDD, placed the AMD kernel, replaced the original Finder with the 32bit one and installed the latest Chameleon bootloader. The problem is that when I hook it up to my AMD desktop and boot from the extHDD, it fails to load the Chameleon bootloader and reboots after. It looks like it's trying to load Chameleon files... Thanks!
  12. Nice! I think this motivates people to customize their Mac, which is a good thing. Possibly, Apple realizes that there is a much higher demand for Macbooks and iMacs than there is for Mac Pros. Too bad, because those are the most interesting for us since they often have similar hardware as our hackintoshes!
  13. That depends on how much this kernel likes your motherboard. Be sure to read through this entire thread... lots of handy tips and tricks have been posted!
  14. This is awesome! Going to test this thoroughly..
  15. More like a bigger sensor and better lens...
