  1. Hi guys! I just installed 10.9 on z87-ud3h without extra kexts (except FakeSMC of course) and no DSDT injections. My USB ports 2.0/3.0 (keyboard and mouse) don't work after wakeup. This is from the kernel.log: Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USB (EHCI):Port 1 on bus 0x1a connected or disconnected: portSC(0x301803) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USB (XHCI Root Hub USB 2.0 Simulation):Port 9 on bus 0xa connected or disconnected: portSC(0x206e1) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USB (XHCI Root Hub USB 2.0 Simulation):Port 10 on bus 0xa connected or disconnected: portSC(0x206e1) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USB (XHCI Root Hub USB 2.0 Simulation):Port 14 on bus 0xa connected or disconnected: portSC(0x20ae1) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USB (EHCI):Port 1 on bus 0x1d connected or disconnected: portSC(0x301803) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USBF: 3226. 93 AppleUSBXHCI::RestoreControllerStateFromSleep - Error restoring controller state USBSTS = 0x411 Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: The USB device HubDevice (Port 5 of Hub at 0x15000000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (3) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: The USB device HubDevice (Port 6 of Hub at 0x15000000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (3) Feb 6 09:53:04 s-imac kernel[0]: USBF: 3226.103 IOUSBHIDDriver(IOUSBHIDDriver)::RearmInterruptRead returning error 0xe00002c0 (no such device), not issuing any reads to device Feb 6 09:53:50 s-imac kernel[0]: full wake (reason 1) 46086 ms Feb 6 09:54:20 s-imac kernel[0]: USBF: 3302.354 IOUSBHIDDriver(IOUSBHIDDriver)::RearmInterruptRead returning error 0xe00002c0 (no such device), not issuing any reads to device Which way to go from here? To try kexts in this thread or Generic from other thread? Please help. Oki
  2. No! Just 3 of them - FakeSMC, patched AppleHDA & HDAEnabler1. I will check it out later today by connecting via ssh when computer wakes up.
  3. Not really - tried with 3 keyboards (one of them being new apple keyboard) - results are the same. Cannot login after sleep since keyboard not working . Please help. Disconnecting/connecting again does not help. Tried with both USB3.0 and USB2.0 ports.
  4. I have the following: 1. Intel Core i7-4770/4770K 2. Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Motherboard F7 bios from Gigabyte onboard graphics Using following kexts: FakeSMC, AppleHDA & HDAEnabler1 The Problem: Keyboard and mouse attached to USB ports stop working after sleep/wakeup. Is this a known problem? Any solutions? BR, Oki

[SOLVED] Resolution Hack for 1st Gen Intel HD Graphics

915resolutions uses PAM registers to remap read-only VBIOS memory to read-write area where resolutions table can be re-written. Unfortunately (or fortunately - depending on use) PAM registers on i-version of intel cpu's "moved" to CPU itself. (you can see my stackoverflow thread here: http://stackoverflow...pam-on-intel-i5). As I answered myself on the same page (last answer) - VBIOS memory area (and others, of course) are handled by MTRR CPU registers on i-series and later which makes 915resolutions totally useless on i-series. I tried working with MTRR but after a lot of issues I abandoned idea. I think somewhere on github should still be my code.If I were you, I would dismiss this idea :-).

Intel HD Graphics (0x00468086) QE/CI on Lenovo X201

There is no logical reason natit would do anything with intel card. Try without it - you should get same results. Is " 1280x800x32" maximum resolution you can get under windows/linux? Do you see this resolution listed in Chameleon? It would be interesting to see output of "ioreg -l".

    [FIXED] Intel GMA HD 5700MHD

Framebuffer is not a problem. AppleGraphicsControl kext is. Take a look at IORegistryExplorer of Mac using GMA where WindowServer is attached...(hint: AppleGraphicsControlClient)

intel hd graphics cards success 10.8

From a quick inspection - the only difference from trunk version is that ID for IntelHDGraphics is added whose only benefit is to show right name of the card when bootloader is loaded. How did you draw any conclusion that something useful is done for intelhd? oki
  9. Anyone here knows how to write C or C++ or Intel assembler? Any of those? + knowing at least a bit about how computers work? And want to learn more? Anyone used hexeditor before? Let's see what we have here and if we can work with this. I personally don't have i5 laptop anymore but my gf has one so I will be able to participate if we assemble a team.
  10. If something world needs is definitely more clueless testers. How helpful can you be by testing something you have no idea how it works? Zero. You are posting to these threads for so long that you could have learn a lot since start but seems it's much more comfortable to wait for someone else to do real work. And no, this is not personal - it goes for all "I will test it guys". If someone can code/change the kext -> he/she most definitely can test it. Done that - you can take a look at my github account. It won't work. Remapping BIOS space is not so trivial as on pre-i3/i5/i7 processors. Asked at Intel forum - got zero answers/help. There is no connector info in Framebuffer kext for this videocard. I have no idea what this means. There is a big key on the bottom of your keyboard. It is called "space key" - it separates words with invisible delimiter making them easier to read.

Intel HD 3000 graphic card -sandy bridge

This one does not have 3000. It has GMA 5700.

    Intel HD Graphics GMA 5700

If he can WRITE framebuffer kext for intel hd graphics himself from ground-up in any foreseeable future, then Apple should fire their 12+ team members that worked 3+ months on this kext. In best case he could slightly modify current kext. There is a huge difference between that and writing a new one. Ego spill-out ruined a lot of projects in IT..seems it kicked this one too to the ground.

    Intel HD Graphics GMA 5700

If you have the source of IntelHDGraphicsFB I will help you to modify it. The thing is that Apple do not give source of device drivers for GPUs on opensource.apple.com. There is no co-dependency of IntelHDGraphicsFB to NVidia. Good luck with that. Intel changes GPU registers on every new card. Just take a look at linux source for i915 GPU drivers. The only thing that references both Intel and Nvidia is GMUX controller kext - AppleGraphicsControl.kext.

    Intel HD Graphics GMA 5700

I was following this topic for a long time since I had a personal involvement (I had a laptop with mentioned GPU) and would like to comment this part. The thing is - most likely there will be no "next person"....also sending laptop across the world to potential "next person" will soon be more expensive than price of the laptop itself. How to get across that point? There is always a possibility that someone gives remote access to his/her laptop and also time to help testing changes on kexts. Changing kexts can be done on any machine anyway. Alex would that work for you? "Cloud" is hot word these days :-). Other possibility is to create a paypal account and take donations. A person that provides the solution gets the prize that is sitting on account. (this is something that was done before in this community and worked just fine) Comments?
