  1. I'm trying to get my both graphics cards working by just using a patched DSDT.aml file, so I won't need EFI strings. In order to do so I have to add the device path entry in DSDT.dsl file. gfxutil tells me the device path is DevicePath = PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) The entry needed to add to DSDT.sdsl should look like Name (_ADR, 0x00010000) I spend hours browsing the web to find out how to translate these strings but to no avail. Could someone please point me to the right direction? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi everyone, like kdawg mentioned, I would like to use a patched DSDT file to get both my 9600GT cards to be recognized. In order to do so I need to enter the device path of both cards in the (_ADR) entry in DSDT.dsl. Since in my currents DSDT.dsl the cards are not being adressed I have to find the adress myself, gfxutil gives me DevicePath = PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) lspci -t gives me +-03.0-[0000:01-04]----00.0-[0000:02-04]--+-00.0-[0000:03]-- | \-02.0-[0000:04]----00.0 However I need to enter an adress like 0x00010000 Could someone please explain how to extract the needed adress from the available information? Thanks in advance

    nForce LAN driver

This very same solution appears to be working on my system as well (for specs see my signature). Just changing the device/vendor ID did not seem to work, I also had to change the optimization mode to 0. After that no more freezing for me.

    GeForce 9600 GT

I can hereby confirm that it's possible to use the 9600GT in a SLI setup (though OSX isn't ready for sli I do get 3d acceleration) so it's possible to reboot to vista to use sli and to boot to OSX without having to unplug the other GPU! I used the method described earlier in this thread (see my profile). http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture1dm3.png Thanks goes out to this community! Cheers, dafart
  5. The JMicron sata2 controller also works by adding the device ID (see one of the first posts in this thread) It appears that the trick to add sata1 (the Uli chipset controller) to work by using the device ID in the AppleVIAATA.kext does not work. Also there's no UDMA on the IDE controller even, which, sucks. Anyway I will continue to look further into this. Anyone else has some tips how to get UDMA, SATAI or sound working? Hopefully the ethernet driver is to be modified with Tiger as well! Cheers

[How To] Solutions for Ethernet Problems

Hi there, maybe this can be added to the starter post? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=52296 It's a driver and guide for: Ethernet controller: ALi Corporation ULi 1689,1573 integrated ethernet, used for example on my ASRock 939Dual-SataII board. Personally testen on my 10.4.8 install, will test it with 10.4.10 as well. Didn't get this working in Leopard yet, will test some more and maybe an update will be written for 10.5 support! Cheers
  7. I'm having a 10.4.8 JaS install and a Leopard 10.5.1 install, UDMA doesn't work with this fix on both installs. Any news on getting SATA and UDMA enabled on the newer OSX version? TIA
  8. I can confirm this motherboard to be working with Leopard as well. Currently having 10.5.1 installed. Spent quite some time getting my xfx 7950 Gt 512 MB to work; finally after flashing the bios of my gpu card it works fine. My system: AMD X2 4400+ (939) Samsung HDD ( IDE master) DVD-ROm (IDE Slave) Geforce 7950GT (PCI-e) There are though several issues left to be solved: 1. UDMA on my IDE interface not yet working so it's damn slow 2. Onboard NIC not yet working (though I have good hope it'll be working since it does work in Tiger, thumbs up once again to orByte ) 3. My connected SATA drives are not yet recognized (related to 1?) 4. Haven't tried sound yet. Anyway, it would be nice if people looking for solutions to get this board fully working in Leopard post their instructions here. I will try to fix some stuff as well the next few days Ciao!
  9. Yeah it should also be mentioned that you do the following: NVInject guide: http://nvinject.free.fr/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4
  10. Oh, sorry, maybe I messed my own files!
  11. it appears the olution to the NIC problem has been solved. check out this post: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=52296
  12. I'd love to get my lan drivers working! Could you please post here how you did it?
  13. Hi there, nice guide, I'm still busy installing, but so far the following addition seems mandatory to your guide: If you're using the cpuid.txt file you supply you have to make sure you name your leopard partition "LEOPARD" (using capitals) If you want to use another name for your partition, make sure to edit all the lines in cpuid.txt accordingly. Ok, I'm continuing working on my install, let you guys know how it goes.
