Sleep broke on my hackintosh (Gigabyte P35-DS3L) when I upgraded from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8. My PWRB looks different, and I don't have an H_EC. What should I do? DSDT.aml.zip
2. Sleep stopped working

Well it was working in 10.6.8 up until Thursday. The manual sleep, that is. Not sure when auto sleep crapped out.
3. 10.6.8 w/ DSDT, ##### Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Gigabyte GeForce 210 512MB 6GB RAM Kingston SSD Everything was working great once i got the DSDT sorted out. Auto sleep worked, etc. At some point auto sleep stopped kicking in. I poked around in the settings and didn't find anything obvious so I just forgot about it. The other day sleep stopped working all together. When I try to sleep, the video goes dark as if the vid card is shut off but the computer stays on with an amber light. The power and reset buttons do not work and it requires a reset of the power supply to correct. I'm wondering if part of this might be a power supply problem; a couple of times the computer would not power back up until I turned the PS off/on a bunch of times. What do you guys think?
4. I know this thread is super old, but thanks anyway! I finally got my audio working properly.
5. Another old thread bump. This is really the last thing I need to get fixed that I actually use on my computer. I have a GA-P35-DS3L. When I was running windows I could wake it up when it was shut down by opening the Remote app on my iphone. Now that I have Snow Leopard, no such luck. I have sleep working, but it requires hitting the power button on the tower to wake up. I downloaded a NetAwake app for the iphone and that doesn't wake it up either (from sleep or shut down). Any tips?
6. I've noticed that my snow leopard hackintosh with freeze up sometimes when I have a web page open with lots of pictures, or while playing mpegs and such from VLC player. Nothing crazy huge on the video, just short video clips. I can move the cursor around but can't click on anything or bring anything up with the keyboard. I got video acceleration working using EFI string, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I'm using a GeForce 210 512MB if that matters, and I have 2GB of system RAM. Never had this problem under Windows so I'm sure I just have something set up wrong. Any ideas?
7. DSDT Auto-Patcher

My DSDT is not currently loaded. HPET was enabled/32bit by default in my BIOS. When it panicked the very first time (when my DSDT *was* loaded) it was enabled/32bit. Since then I have tried enabled/32bit, enabled/64bit, and disabled but DSDT was *not* loaded. All 3 configurations kernel panicked. I can reinstall Snow Leopard and load the auto-patched DSDT then try all three PET configurations. I will boot with Wait=Yes -v and post photos. Please note that when I installed and booted Snow Leopard with ##### that HPET was enabled/32bit and I had no kernel panics. Thank you for your help MaLd0n.
8. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I always have to be unique. :censored2: I booted with -s and it panicked. See attached screenshot. I found that I was able to remove /Extra because when the desktop comes up I have a few seconds before it panics. So I moved /Extra to the trash, then it panicked, and I rebooted. No joy. I posted a screenshot of this KP below. I wonder if my computer does not like Chameleon? When I first installed Snow Leopard I used ##### and everything booted fine. My only problem was it would not sleep and audio did not work, so I tried your method and that's when it started panicking.
9. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Thank you, I will enable HPET and put that DSDT file (the one I attached) into my Extra folder and reboot. Edit: I just got home from work and tried to boot. It panicked again. I had not put the DSDT into extras so I'm not sure. HPET had been enabled in 32bit mode. I'm going to reinstall Snow Leopard now with HPET set to 64bit. When I went into the BIOS settings everything had returned to default. I changed the settings and retried; they kept going back to default. I dont understand why. I have never seen this. Edit again: No more problems with BIOS resetting. I reinstalled Snow Leopard and the only extras I did was use the Extras folder installer and chameleon. I get the same kernel panic on booting. Any way I can remove whatever the Extras folder did?
10. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I confirmed that it is a P35-DS3L by looking at the board. What do I take a photo of? I will post DSDT as soon as I get it back up and running. Thanks! Update: I hope you wanted a photo of the kernal panic screen, because that's what I took. I've also included my dsdt.aml. I have not put the DSDT back back in my Extra folder yet because I need to use this computer. dsdt.aml.zip
11. DSDT Auto-Patcher

lol That's what I was questioning as well this morning. Yes, I'm pretty sure it's a P35-DS3L. I didn't look at the board, I had used one of those system profiler applications in Windows. I will double-check the board to confirm. What do you want a photo of? I will reinstall OSX and then run DSDT Auto-Patcher again and then post the DSDT. Edit: I posted the photo and DSDT in this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...23&st=3880#
12. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Bad news again. I followed your instructions doing a fresh install using hackboot, installing chameleon and using DSDT Auto Patcher and when I rebooted I got the same panic message.
13. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Re: this post (quoting doesn't work from my iPhone). http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;st=3840 So no chance that I can recover the existing instl? Where do I look for the "load optimized" option?
14. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Bad news. Now it won't start OSX. It gets past ##### and into the grey apple logo screen, then switches to a power button symbol and "You need to restart your computer. Hold down on the power button..." I booted in verbose mode and found this: systemShutdown false panic(cpu 0 caller Ox2e7918e1): "No HPETs available...CPU(s) configured incorrectly\n"@/SourceCache/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement-105.13/pmThread.c:157 I tried safe mode and still get the same panic message.
15. Well right now I have Snow Leopard on a little 20GB drive that I had lying around from an xbox so I need to put it on something substantial, unless I choose to use part of my main drive (the one that has Windows) as storage. I'm trying to get away without spending much money b/c this is really just a "see how it works out" kind of thing for now, I'm normally a Windows user and it will take a lot to get me to switch to osx for good.
