  1. Here are some lowly 8500GT results: Slowest so far!
  2. I just did a little trial on my 20 inch iMac and it seems that the lack of OpenCL support for the ATi 2x00 cards is disappointing. Thanks for sharing it! I'm not sure if I ran it right but here is a screengrab:

OSX 10.5.8 is now in software update

I downloaded the combo update and my hack rebooted (twice like normal) and seems to be back, unharmed. Time to test things now! Thanks to all contributing to this thread.

    10.5.7 Released

I updated both my iMac and my Hackintosh and all went well. All I needed to do was reinstall my P5KPL-AM's onboard lan driver (here) then reboot and I was up and running without a hitch. Lovely stuff!
  5. Is it this one? You can download it with the link withing youtube. http://rcrdlbl.com/artists/Honeycut/track/Exodus_Honey EDIT - I've not used iAtkos so I don't know if the music is different to a normal Leopard install.
  6. Installed it on my hack and it works perfectly. Detected my Vista install on my 2nd HDD and I can boot into both just fine. Great release!
  7. I'm sure i've read that only the first 2 of the 4 SATA ports work on this motherboard under OSX but I can't find where i read it. Could I have gotten another motherboard mixed up or does anyone have this board with more than 2 SATA devices connected? I'm currently using 2 ports, 1 on a SATA DVD-RW drive and 1 HDD. Thanks!

  9. Hi all. I found a damaged Dell Vostro 200m locally and me being me couldn't help but have a sniff round it. The case was torn open and the HDD was gone. This sadly means that it's been open to the elements recently and the case had some mud inside covering the motherboard. I noticed nearly all the components were still inside so I've taken it home and stripped it and this is what it contained: Seem in good condition Intel E2140 1.6GHz - Looks in good condition. 2x 512MB DDR2 Simms (HYST64t4000HU-3S- - Both good condition. TS-H653 SATA DVD R/W Drive Dell Multi card reader (Internal USB I assume) Broken/Wet/Muddy CPU HSF - One blade broken on the cooling fan. Foxconn G33M02 - Caked in mud and wet. I'm drying it out now and will give it a clean to see if it works) Case - Damaged but still has Vista Business licence. (Is there any way I can remove the license sticker from the case without damaging it? AFAIK this is legal in the E.U) PSU - Damaged. Won't even bother with this. I'm assuming the CPU, RAM, DVD drive are fine and I already have an 80GB SATA 2.5" laptop drive sitting around which I will use as a HDD until I can get a newer one so all I'm really after is a motherboard and VGA suggsetion. I'll get a cheap PSU, Hetasink and case for it and the Hackintosh (if it works) can replace our old eMac. Can anyone suggest a motherboard and VGA card (A mobo with onboard VGA would do fine aswell) to use with these components in mind? 2nd question, I take it even tho it's labeled Pentium that the E2140 is a 64bit CPU? Thanks for any help!
  10. Unlocked and tested using a Bt Mobile sim of my wifes. Shows up as vodafone as they piggyback from the vodafone network. I have no data settings for BT mobile so I am unable to test its data capabilities sadly. Now ill be using my 3G as my work phone instead of the {censored} Nokia i have been given!

    GTA IV on iMac (Bootcamp)

I always use the latest cats with Mobility Modder which modifies them to be installed on our mobility cards. http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php This way you have the latest drivers which are bugfixed for any newer games. Give it a go if you feel like it!

Windows 7 Beta 1 on iMac

I have the latest 2.4GHz 20" iMac with the Radeon 2400XT. In this post you can see in the 1st screenshot that the bluetooth was detected and installed in Device Manager. This was before I installed the bootcamp drivers. Thanks for the advice on the realtek drivers. I'll give it a try!

Windows 7 Beta 1 on iMac

Hmm... Bluetooth was installed from the star for me, only my iSight didn;t work in my 20" iMac. The only problem I have is no sound coming from my speakers on it. I have no ideas why. Other than that I love it!

    Windows 7 Beta 1

Just tried it on my iMac and all everything except the iSight has been installed and works fine. Now to try the bootcamp software! EDIT - Bootcamp fixes the iSight. 2nd edit - Although the drivers are installed and the sound mixer is showing sound there is actually no sound coming from my iMac's speakers or headphone port.

    Windows 7 Beta 1

I really like what I see so far. So much faster than Vista on my Inspiron. All my hardware was detected fine and seems stabe at the moment.
