  1. 10.6.8 update breaks App Store

    I had the same problem as you. It's an easy fix, though. Just add the following addendum to your com.apple.Boot.plist: <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> Hopefully that fixes the Mac App Store for you. It worked for me.

    I think that you may have identified my problem. After some troubleshooting, I was eventually able to install OSX on my HDD but after attempting to load it the first time, it just hung on the Apple logo. So, I tried loading it again in verbose mode. The text appeared on my screen and disappeared REALLY fast to a black screen, so I had to use a burst mode to capture it with a photo. As you can see in the photo, it says "No DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI data as is" and then "Starting Darwin x86" which is where it ends. So I need to play around with DSDT, maybe? Thanks again for all of the replies!

    I wasn't sure if you could read everything from just one photo. The second one was blurry so I added a third just to be sure... Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a shot and let you know how it goes.

    Now, now, there's no need to be rude, is there? I'll run it in verbose mode in a couple of minutes and I'll be sure to post a picture here. Thanks for your reply! EDIT: I've attached three photos of the verbose mode. Originally there was an error about Firewire. I disable Firewire and it went away.

    Good morning, everyone. I'm attempting to install OSX Snow Leopard on a ASUS M4A78T-E motherboard with an AMD Phenom II X4 965 processor. I am trying to install OSX via iATKOS 3 but I'm running into an unfortunate problem. Every time I try to load the installation program via the bootloader, I am met by a kernel panic. I can't seem to figure out what is happening. I've attached a photo of the kernel panic to this message. Any help that you folks can give me would be very much appreciated! Thank you! EDIT: I was able to get past the bootloader and avoid a kernel panic by using a busratio bootflag. However, I now have another problem. My computer just hangs at an Apple loader with a "No Entry" sign above it. I've posted a pic of that as well. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks again!
