  1. I belivee you have a laptop. Try this .. Before you boot the computer, hook up a external monitor and then boot. Your desktop will come on the second monitor. Use my guide to update your video drivers and you should be fine. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=149111 - J

I went ahead and bought ilife last night from BB and voila it did not work Using the trick i had used for iwork, i tried just hitting continue and ignoring the update window. Did not work. Then went ahead and tried the other technique of changing the SystemVersion and voila cd /System/Library/CoreServices, open SystemVersion.plist Change 10.5.x to 10.5.6 ( two places ) Close, Install, reboot and voila Im working with iphoto/ imovie now .. they work perfectly

  7. Well, I got a lot working on the laptop now. I Installed Kalyway 10.5.2 + natively installed the 945 graphic drivers from Kalyway. Got almost everything working except the network card, which I have ordered from fleabay. One annoying problem is the mouse becomes unresponsive after computer comes out of sleep, something i am trying to fix at the moment. Thanks for all the help around
  8. Hi all, I have a Toshiba M115-S3094 - Toshiba Satellite. Here are the specs I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 + Combo Update and it all ran successfully, except the wifi drivers. After installing everything, I only get screen on an attached second monitor. I only get a blue screen on my lcd. I went into my Displays and I only get the external LCD( Dell 2405 ), nothing about my LCD monitor. Can some one please help me with what I need to update, so that my LCD monitor is detected. Thanks, Jitesh

  10. No I have not, let me try that tonight. I just got back today .. (and got engaged too), so there were lots of other things on my mind .. Will get back on the SATA and the ethernet in the next few days .. It works like a charm on both the AMD and Intel. Just some aspects are not working on the 680i yet.
  11. Sorry guys. I am currently out on vacation and will try doing more stuff once I get back. Will update as soon as I am back in town.. J
  12. Just an FYI, I reinstalled my machine and this time I did it using vmware to my new default partition, and it worked. So i skipped the step of copying frpm the VMware virtual partition to the new one. I am still stuck with one USB parition ( read only ) and one IDe drive. Will try and load the Intelsata kext drivers as soon as I get them. Thanks, J
  13. Does anyone know how to get the AHCI SATA kext drivers, i cant seem to find them anywhere on the board, as a member mentioned in a previous post. Ill try and pm him to find more about it too.
  14. Just use the TUbgirl all the way through. I did not use jas. I am now exploring the option of using linux drivers and recomiling them fro mac, have gotten anywhere yet.
