1. System Info, an app to get hardware and kexts info

Have you tried this tutorial http://lifehacker.com/the-always-up-to-date-guide-to-building-a-hackintosh-o-5841604 ? Since you already have hardware, you can skip that part.
2. Introduce yourself.

With an AMD cpu you won't be able to use vanilla kernel (I think). Try to use a bootCD legacy version. Try nawcom modCD or tonymacosx86 ##### (for Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.x)
3. System Info, an app to get hardware and kexts info

Please take a look at the screenshots below. They belong to my wife's notebook. I ran the systeminfo win version. Please help me interpret the results... does the means that it can run Mac OS? Or si it necessary to have all green checkmarks? Another windows hardware report below (might help in some way).
4. ASUS P7P55D, i7 2600, 16GB, RADEON HD6970 2GB

Thanks guys! I'm going to redo this config... Now I only need a compatible 2GB Graphics Card, anyone care to suggest one?
5. ASUS P7P55D, i7 2600, 16GB, RADEON HD6970 2GB

Thanks for such a quick response! I presume no problem with MB and CPU, but the 3 question marks are for the graphics card RADEON HD6970 right? This particular model is untested right? I thought by choosing the same Graphics Card as the original iMac the support would be instantaneous... right? wrong? P.S: Sorry for being such a noob
6. Hello hackintoshers I'm trying to build a Hackintosh for a friend of mine in the video edition business. I saw a video on LifeHacker with a similar board to my config wich is the followimg: 1 x MB ASUS Chipset Intel P55 SK1156 DDR3/eSATA - P7P55D 1 x CPU INTEL Core i7 2600 - 3.40GHz 8MB LGA 1155 4 x DIMM KINGSTON 4GB DDR3 1333 ECC (16GB total) 1 x VGA ASUS RADEON HD6970 DCII 2GbDDR5 HDMI DisplayPort EAH6970 The original iMac config is below. I tryed to stay as close as possible to the original config, namely the graphics board. Can anyone tell me if this config will work? Is so, I've read that there are problems with RADEON... people prefere NVIDA? Should I go for a NVIDIA instead? Below I've included screenshots of the specs of the MB and Graphics Card. Many thanks in advance for your insights
