  3. [New!] Linux Distributions Poll

Redhat was still a free distribution too I tried KaOS after reading about it here, and while I find it a solid, fast distribution- with admirable goals; 32bit packages are still needed. Frugalware is interesting too, but ha a virtually non existent userbase
  4. [New!] Linux Distributions Poll

Anyone ever use turbolinux (I think that's the name) They were a big deal a bit after I started with Linux, they were the first to support DVD playback I think
  5. [New!] Linux Distributions Poll

I use kubuntu, I liked arch- it required too much maintenance though
  6. HD 4600 not detected

Nopt. I jjust got another HDMI adapter for my 650Ti though. So, I don't think I'll bother with the 4600
  7. HD 4600 not detected

Yes, clover. I don't think that did anything though. I can't test it, but system profiler shows the same info.
  8. HD 4600 not detected

I had my IGFX disabled in my BIOS, I turned it on to 64. After booting 10.2, it wasn't recognized. I did some searching, and found a suggestion to try 32MB, it didn't work. I then ran the 10.3 combo update, no results. Finally I tried adding GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelAzulFB=10 to clover
  9. I restored 10.2, 10.3 broke my hibernate and sometimes wouldn't even boot
  10. I booted from a clover iso, and restored my HD's bootloader. At least APP store works.
  11. So, now I can't boot. The macbook I got my MLB from is too old and can't boot 10.10 or 10.9. Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to find another mac & install clover to a USB
  12. [pre-release] OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

I dumped mail and use postbox too
  13. Mavericks to Yosemite Problem

I use clover, but AFAIK chameleon should work fine- after all, why would there be a way of creating an installer usb with cameleob if you couldn't boot from it. The 1tb SSHD in my sig is running good 10.10 with clover; it does boot0 if you try cameleon, but even that is fixable. Is yor dvd drive pata or sata?
  14. Mavericks to Yosemite Problem

If mavericks isn't running great for you, couldn't you get another HDD and try a fresh install. Sorry, I'm of no real help- thats what I ended up doing though
  15. [pre-release] OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
