  1. I have a FX 5200 too, and it works w/ either titan or natit, both QE/CI/All resolutions, although dual display not working. But I guess you need 10.4.8. brighttie
  2. Disapearing files and folders on NTFS

For me it's even worse, the whole NTFS drvie looks just empty in os x, although it does have some gigas data in it under windows. Weird, don't know what made this happen. Just remember I used windows for several days w/o even a visit to os x, maybe os x revenged, who knows...
  3. Anyone got the dual display working on FX5200? I tried all versions of Natit, got either single one works perfectly (w/ early Natit versions) or none of them works but a balck screen (w/ developing versions). Keep trying now brighttie
  4. Searched and tried, no dual displays. Anyone got lucky? brighttie
  5. Intel 845, is there a way?

The situation hasn't been changed. Folks tried to get somebody to write a driver for 845/855/865, but no success yet, and seems the guy has left this project. By the way, there will be no OFFICIAl support for these outdated cards, though I also hoped it's not ture. Sorry to disappoint you.
  6. Intel 845, is there a way?

No. I don't think 845 will get any official support.
  7. The driver is for PPC only, not universal. I sent a letter to realtek asking about their plan. Hope they will not drop the support for Intel Macs.
  8. Is that possible? Or am I just stupid enough to ask such a question? Or am I just stupid enough that it is so obviously true?
  9. Hi, I have a full functional 10.4.3 8F1111g running on my Dell Inspiron 2200 Notebook GMA900 w/ the two wire trick (right now it is the fix for blue screen on boot w/o external monitor). I can let it go sleeping, then wake it up...... But, the USB ports stop working after the system is awakened, e.g., neither can the USB mouse move a bit any more, nor the USB storage be mounted. Any idea? Thanks in advance. brighttie
  10. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Finally I decided to give up seeking for a soft fix for the dead blue screen on my GMA900 laptop, but picked up the two wire trick instead. Now I have a full functional 10.4.3 8F1111g running. I can let it go sleeping, then wake it up...... But, the USB ports stop working after the system is awaken, e.g., neither can the USB mouse move a bit any more, nor the USB storage be mounted. Any idea? Thanks in advance. brighttie
  11. 10.4.5 Prepatched DVD (Hot news for all)

I just wonder if this install fixed the partition problem as the one of 10.4.4 does. Thanks a lot.
  12. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Hey guys, I found something interesting. When I boot w/o an external monitor (blue screen of course), actually the computer is keeping doing something and return errors (I checked a log file) like this: Dec 05 15:21:18 [70] kCGErrorFailure: Failure: UCKeyTranslate returns -50 Dec 05 15:21:18 [70] kCGErrorFailure: CGXKeyEventTranslate: key translation failure Dec 05 15:21:18 [70] kCGErrorFailure: Failure: UCKeyTranslate returns -50 Dec 05 15:21:18 [70] kCGErrorFailure: CGXKeyEventTranslate: key translation failure ..... and on and on Maybe some of you can read this out. You can check /var/log/windowserver.log for details.
  13. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Sorry JoeP, I've deleted it. But when I plug an external monitor, the com.apple.windowserver.plist will be generated by the system again. And for that plist, I have to have the external monitor connected. So if you still want to see it, I can do it later. Hey man, you are fine. Enjoy now.
  14. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Hi guys, I succeeded to boot w/o an external monitor twice yesterday. What I did just first remove or delete com.apple.windowserver.plist, then reboot. But unfortunately, it's not lasting. After a 2nd reboot, it's blue again. So I really doubt the memory theory, if it is true, how could it work sometimes, but not work the others?
