  1. No sound after sleep

I managed to fix it! As it turns out my ssdt was not properly configured. I removed the ssdt after which the laptop failed to sleep or rather just wake up from sleep as soon as it entered sleep mode. I fixed that problem by adding the boot flag -gux_defer_usb2. Now CodecCommander was able to wake the audio from sleep.
  2. No sound after sleep

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately I have a IDT codec and the command only supports Realtek codecs.
  3. No sound after sleep

I used this guide for patching the AppleHDA: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=465. I am using clover. CodecCommander is installed in s/l/e. I can see CodecCommander in the console too. It says it's enabling the AppleHDA codec but it does not work. This did not enable sound after sleep. It did however get rid of a glitch I got before when booting with a hdmi cable attached.
  4. No sound after sleep

I tried using codec commander and I also tried using the EAPDfix.kext but they did not work. kextunloading and loading applehda does not enable the sound either. It just won't enable until restart. I tried to kextunload/kextload applehda while it has not gone to sleep and it worked. Sound was working after the reload too. But after sleep it does not work. Could it be possible I did something wrong when patching the AppleHDA.kext? I attached all the files I used for editing the applehda, the applehda.kext itself and the codeccommander.kext that I used. files.zip
  5. No sound after sleep

For some reason my sound won't wake from sleep. I can still see all my output/input devices but my sound output won't work. When I searched the web I found I should unload and reload my sound extension so I tried but it did not work. It still had no output. I tried some patched applehda's I found for my codec but they did not work. They would not give me output even before sleep. Sound input worked fine. I also tried patching the applehda myself but I failed and it would not work. It did not even show me any output/input devices. I have a IDT 92HD99BXX codec. Can someone help me to find a solution to this problem. Thanks, Joas PS: I attached my codec_dump.txt from linux. EDIT: I managed to get patched applehda working but sound after sleep still does not work. codec_dump.txt
  6. Disabling NVIDIA Optimus card on all laptops

Hello, I am a beginner with DSDT editing and I edited my own DSDT. Now everything works, I just need to disable optimus. I searched a lot of forums and websites. Tried a lot of solutions but none of them worked. I tried your guide to switch off the nvidia card but with no result. Can someone explain to me what I do wrong? The dsdt/ssdt files are attached. Thanks in advance! EDIT: I just found out what the problem was. I had to place _OFF () in the _INI method for my nvidia card in the dsdt. It now switches the NVidia card off. DSDTSSDT files.zip
  7. Ozmosis

I tried to extract the bios, remove CSM_CORE and add my kernel extensios but I keep getting this kernel panic. I am using the original smcemulatorkext. When I flash the extracted bios without adjustments it works. Below are the extracted bios, the extracted bios with adjustments and the panic itself. Any suggestions? https://www.dropbox.com/s/4copcsppwpnnp4h/extracted_bios.rom https://www.dropbox.com/s/qoldwxkg5t83get/extracted_bios_with_adjustments.rom
  8. Noob question

Yes, You have to download transmac, in transmac you open the iatkos ml2 file and restore it to a usb. To boot it you will need another usb. You have to format that usb to fat32 and copy clover boot loader to it. http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Bootable_ISO/CloverISO-1928.tar.lzma/download Copy the content of the iso to the usb. Use the x64 iso if you have a 64 bits processor and the other one if you have a 32 bits processor. If you want to boot the iso put the usb with clover on it in the pc and boot it. You will get a menu and you will be able to boot iatkos ml2 from usb.
  9. Installation Error Hangup

I had that error too, you have to install chameleon manually. Here's how: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.nl/2009/11/how-to-install-chameleon-manually-from.html Make sure you use the mavericks chameleon version. You can download it here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/59-chameleon-22-svn/
  10. Photo Booth coming up black MAVERICKS

I was experiencing the same problem. But it seems to be fixed in developer preview 2.
