1. Décidément, cette techno Optimus apporte plus d’embûches que de réelles solutions… Je vais essayer comme tu as dit !
2. Bonjour, Je suis l’heureux possesseur d’un Dell XPS 15, modèle L501X, doté des caractéristiques suivantes : CPU : Intel Core i5 560M ; GPU : NVIDIA GT 420M. J’ai quelques questions à vous poser : doit-on absolument installer OSX Snow Leopard pour avoir OSX Lion ? est-il possible d’installer Lion via USB uniquement ? comment faire ? Merci d’avance !
3. Hi! Got some good news, and some bad news. Using the console mode of ##### (protip: hit the TAB key when #####, well... boots), I was able to boot on SL. BUT. It stopped on a line about my nVidia GT 420M, with on without the “PCIRootUID=1” part. What do?
4. Ah... And what's the difference between ibuoo and #####?
5. Hmm... How do I “burn” it to an USB stick? UNetbootin didn't suceed ... And I'm out of CDs...
6. I'll give it a try then! But is it possible to create a bootable USB stick instead ?
7. He's using ##### 2.6 and I'm with 2.7, but it doesn't really matter imho. I can't try “-v -x busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1” because there's an “s” in the word “busratio” and hitting the “s” key makes Chamelon freeze.
8. I was following this guide (Google Translate helped a lot ), but as I said, I can't type the “busratio=X” part (when typing the “s” it freezes)
9. Hello everyone! I'm trying to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard on my Dell XPS 15 (l501x), but got errors on the very beginning. Configuration: CPU: Intel Core i5 560M Graphic Card: nVidia GT 420M Mac OS X DVD: SL 10.6.3 (original DVD) I've the ##### 2.7 right from tonymacx86, but there are some bugs when i boot it: graphic artefacts the “s” key freezes everything Pictures: On boot: pic After a refresh: pic I can't boot the Mac OS X SL retail (real one, not burned) DVD, only got a blank purple screen. The DVD player is very noisy, btw. I've tried the following flags: nothing -x -x PCIRootUID=1 PCIRootUID=1 -v -x PCIRootUID=1 -v -x -v PCIRootUID=1 I can't try the busratio=X thing (as I said, the “s” makes Chameleon freeze, don't know why). I however saw on the forums the right busratio for the i5 460M is 20. Also, my BIOS is up-to-date (A6 version). Oh, and I don't know if it's useful, but I can boot ##### properly in VirtualBox. EDIT: added pix.
