  1. In need of help

I would use retail but I don't have the option to buy any DL DVDs right now or to buy the full version. Anyways, yes it does happen before installing. I will try switching ports.
  2. In need of help

Hey guys. I have the following PC: AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz MSI 760GM-P35 mobo 2GB of RAM (being upgraded to 6 soon) Radeon HD4650 1TB HDD I am trying to install iATKOS S3 V2 (don't ask me to install anything else, especially not retail because it is not an option for me right now) and every time I try to install it I get "Still Waiting for Root Device". How can this issue be fixed? I have tried both IDE and AHCI modes of my HDD and still get the same result.
  3. Lion Install Help

Ok. Any idea on when a new legacy kernel might come out?
  4. Update to 10.6.8

No offense, but the way I said is easier since it does not require you to touch your files. No re-installs.
  5. Lion Install Help

Hey guys. I want to install iAtkos L1 on my PC. I have an MSI motherboard and an AMD Athlon II X4 635 CPU. The video card I am using is a Radeon HD4650. My questions are as follows: first off, can I successfully install this release? Do I need a legacy kernel or does it come with one? Second, I have my video card successfully working with Chameleon under 10.6.7 using this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0288&st=100 Will this work with Lion? Thanks a lot for any help!
  6. Update to 10.6.8

I had the same problem with 10.6.7 Here is my thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=253699&hl= The concept is the same except you will need the 10.6.8 combo update. You will still need to do as this says. And by the way, before you do anything, are you on an Intel or AMD CPU?
  7. Hi. I have been looking everywhere for any OpenDarwin and GNU Darwin builds and I was wondering if anyone else had them. These are the file names I have gathered so far and any help is appreciated. GNU-Darwin CD Beta 2.3 PPC (gnu-darwin-cd-beta2.3-ppc.cdr.gz and/or gnu-darwin-cd-beta2.3-ppc.cdr.gz) GNU-Darwin CD Beta 2.5 x86 (gnu-darwin-cd-beta2.5-x86.iso.gz) GNU-Darwin 1.1 RC2 (gd_install-1.1_rc2.tgz) GNU-Darwin 6.6.1 x86 (GNUDarwin-6.6.1-X86-installer.iso) OpenDarwin 7.2.1 (opendarwin-7.2.1.iso.bz2) OpenDarwin 6.6.1 (opendarwin-6.6.1.ppc.cdr.gz and opendarwin-6.6.1.x86.iso.gz) OpenDarwin-20030212 (opendarwin-20030212-ppc.cdr.gz and opendarwin-20030212-i386.iso.gz)
  8. Hello. I have been wanting to try out Lion for a while now and I would like you guys to help me with installing it. First off, I am currently dual booting Windows 7 and SL10.6.7. I would like to set aside 30GB for Lion and keep both systems. I have 3 partitions (Windows NTFS, Mac Journaled, and System Reserved which is Windows's BOOTMGR). Can someone tell me how I should go about installing it and keeping my files? Finally, does anyone who uses Lion DP2 use a Radeon HD4650? I would like to know if it will work along with my wireless adapter. Thanks a bunch for any help. PS: If it helps, I'm currently using Chameleon RC5 as a bootloader and I have an emergency Chameleon disk in case I need to boot into either system if my bootloader messes up.
  9. Widescreen Resolution

I tried SwitchResX and it didn't work. Not too good with ATI cards. I will try connecting with a DVI to VGA adapter and see if it works.
  10. Widescreen Resolution

Radeon HD4650 1GB PCIe x16 Using kexts that are working perfectly fine with full QE/CI 22" Widescreen Westinghouse TV that runs at 1440x900 on Windows and 1600x1200 on Mac (I'm dual booting) VGA Connection Is that enough info?
  11. Hello. I have set up my Mac and have been using it for a couple of weeks now but one thing that is bothering me is the resolution. It only shows 4:3 resolutions. It still looks good at 1600x1200 but I am wondering if it is possible to have it at 1440x900 because it looks much crisper. Any help is appreciated.
  12. A Couple Questions

    Can anyone help me? Please
  13. A Couple Questions

  14. A Couple Questions

Umm so for the graphics. I have installed the proper kexts and I am running with QE/CI enabled and I have many resolution choices in system preferences but they are all 4:3 and not 16:10. For the GarageBand thing I will post a picture with my phone later but I think it might be related to my sound card because I receive the same type of error when I try to open the input menu for sound in SystemPrefs.
  15. I have a couple of questions. I have Snow Leopard set up with everything but I have a couple problems that are kind of bothering me. First off, how can I set a login prompt, because now it just boots into the system and doesn't ask for a password. Second, is there a possible way to run it at a widescreen resolutions. I am now running it in 1600x1200 but I would like to run it at 1440x900 like in Windows since it looks crisper. Third, every time I launch GarageBand, I get kind of like a GUI kernel panic. Everything freezes and a little weird thing goes over my mouse on the initializing screen. No errors or kernel panics are shown and I have to restart the computer by holding down the power button. Thanks a lot for any help.
