  1. Has development on the ML kernel stopped now, to move onto Mavericks? So this would this be the latest (and final) kernel for 10.8? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281450-mountain-lion-kernel-testing-on-amd-dont-ask-help-here-use-the-help-topic/page-142?do=findComment&comment=1933704 There was nowhere that linked to the latest RC so I had to search through every page...
  2. Fixed it. Under Settings->Displays->Colours->Colour tab I unchecked the 'Show profiles for this display only' box and 4 more colour profiles appeared. I'm not sure what the difference is, but 'Generic RBG Profile' looks, and sounds, right. This makes the colours look normal again
  3. All my colour settings are default, like in your screenshot. Like I said in the edit, it's a monitor issue that can be fixed by calibrating. The strange thing is that it is only that specific shade used for the default highlights that turn purple, everything else looks fine. I've had no colour issues in any other operating system.
  4. I managed to enable full acceleration for my graphics card by putting my device ID into some kexts and setting GraphicsEnabler to no. It works great, but I immediately noticed something strange: when I put the mouse over the menu bars, they highlight purple. Before I got the graphics working they were blue as usual. Is it something to do with my monitor, or have I changed an option that made them turn purple? Edit: I tried calibrating the display and the menus look normal. In fact, the screenshot looks normal as well so it must be something to do with my monitor then?
  5. Are these hardware compatible with each other and with OS X, and suitable for casual gaming? MOBO: Asus P5Q Deluxe CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8135 GFX: GeForce 9800 GT I will have RAM and an HDD, but those are the 3 main parts.
  6. OS X compatible desktop for £200?

EDIT: I'm going to post this in the Hardware section instead since it is no longer about Complete Desktops.
  7. Hi, I'm looking for a pre-build desktop PC that can run OS X. I would prefer not to build one, I would have to individual buy the different parts from different places and something might go wrong when I'm building it. I live in the UK so I want something with 3gb of RAM (or upgradable to) and at least 2GHz CPU for around £200. If there isn't any pre-build PCs available at that price, can anyone suggest hardware?
  8. iATKOS v7 kernel panic

I'm trying to install Leopard on a fairly old 'TIME' PC. I burnt iATKOS v7 to a DVD-R and put it in the drive. I press any key and the Apple logo appears for a second ( ) but after that second, text fills the screen saying that there has been a VooDoo Kernel panic ( ). I tried cpu=0, cpu=1, and cpu=2 to no avail. What made this happen? ( Don't tell me to get a different distro, they take 10 hours to download ) My processor is AMD Athlon XP/MP 1.2GHz and half a GB of RAM.
  9. Introduce yourself.

Hi everyone I got a MSI Wind U130 and want to install Snow Leopard on it, but I heard its impossible with Pinetrail processors, yet people say they've done it D: I'm hoping to get my Wind triple-booted so I can make cross-platform apps
