  1. Sorry I have forgotten to attach the image hehe. Yes, i386_64 seems to be a different kind of x64 architecture.
  2. Hi guys, I have a little problem at booting lion. I just can run lion by using the flag arch=i386_64. If I run it without flag an error appears ("TLB Invalidation IPI Timeout...."). I tried to use DSDT or launch in safe mode (-x) but didn't work. Look at the attached file. I hope someone knows how to solve it. Thanks! ----- Lion 10.7.5 (updated) CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 3.60Ghz Box Socket 2011 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 Nvidia GTS 450
  3. Audio problem

Hi everybody, I have installed Lion and have updated it to version 10.7.5. My computer: CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 3.60Ghz Box Socket 2011 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 Nvidia GTS 450 This motherboard use realtek 898 codec. Sound was not working so I did: Install 898 realtek drivers Create my own DSDT and added HDEF Sound still doesn't work. -> NO SOUND DEVICES DETECTED (DSDT loads correctly) So I tried something different: Install VoodoHda 0.22 Removing AppleHDA and HDAenablers Fix permissions Restart After this, sound devices are being detected and I can hear sound when I play songs. The problem there is a hard noise everytime play something. I also checked MIDI configuration and it seems to be OK. Does somebody know why VoodoHDA works and AppleHDA with the correct HDAEnablers for my motherboard and codec realtek 898 does not? And how could I erase this disturbing noise? Thanks
  4. I have added HDEF by following the instructions but not working. Outputs appears in output option but can't hear anything. The only difference is that iTunes plays song now. If I delete VoodoHDA.kext output disappear.
  5. The problem is that I can not start up mac so I cant create a DSDT! I have downloaded a dsdt editor for Windows called "DSDTEditor-Linux-Mac-Win". I have seen a solution for the black screen in a post that involves replacing a short code in the dsl but I can't find it.
  6. but how do I edit my dsdt? I can't enter. How do I edit my dsdt for my Nvidia Gts 450?Where is this file?
  7. It isn't ivy cpu, its sandy bridge-e. Which smbios should I choose? There are a lot of them. And where can I download them? How do I boot with intel hd 4000? ................................................................ Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 3.60Ghz Box Socket 2011
  8. mac pro 3.1 do you mean deleting smbios file?
  9. Done, but not working! I think the problem isn't related to the graphic card anymore because I have signal after booting. The problem is that it stucks after this.
  10. But this error corresponds to the step after booting in -v mode. Everything seems to be correct without errors in the verbose mode.
  11. Hi everybody, Previous, I attain to fix the problem with the black screen. But now I have a new problem and don't know if it was still there when I had the black screen problem because I couldn't see anything (last post). I boot with -v and after finishing correctly without errors this step, it turns to the grey background apple logo screen. The mouse appears too but it stucks there. I can't move the mouse pointer and nothing happens. I tried to boot with -x but didn't work. Any ideas? (See attached picture) FEATURES: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 3.60Ghz Box Socket 2011 Graphic Card: Nvidia GFORCE GTS 450 2 SATA Harddisk -> First (Partition1: Mac/ Partition2: Windows) Second (Data HDD)
  12. Well, I attain to fix the problem with the black screen by editing the files which artur-pt told to me (thanks)! But now I have a new problem. Now I can see the grey background with the apple logo and the mouse pointer, but it stucks there. I can't move the pointer. Any ideas? See picture: http://imagchine27.beats4s.com/Pdfs/stucks.JPG
