  1. ACPI Backlight Driver

I am trying to get native slider working on my mackintosh (VAIO VPCEB16FG) running 5650m with clover boot loader. I am attaching dsdt and ioreg dump for your reference. The ACPIBrightness loaded and just said that device found at \_SB.PNLF The diagnostic tool said my display type is 2. hope someone can help. Archive.zip
  2. Thank you sooo much. Its working fine now. Thanks once again! . what exactly was the issue though?
  3. Hey thanks for replying. I have successfully used clover to load QE/CI. Now its working perfectly. I used EDID injector (generated in windows with ATI drivers installed) with LoadVBios, PatchVBios, FBName: Langur, Ports=3.
  4. Hey guys, I am running a near perfect hackintosh on my laptop Sony VAIO VPCEB16FG complete with QE/CI (EDID injecter in conjunction with patchvbios of clover bootloader), BatteryMonitor, Speedstep (x16, x7). I am using Rehabman's VooDooPS2Controller. While, the trackpad itself works fine, the drag and drop doesn't. I cant hold on to my left click button and drag using the trackpad. This is a pain especially while working with multiple windows or installing kexts. I cannot even select text (SERIOUSLY?), please help? PS: iATKOS ML2 updated to 10.8.4. Regards, Kalpak Khemka.
  5. PCI configuration begin on Vaio laptop

I would suggest using npci=0x3000. it seems to work for my vaio. VPCEB16FG. i have complete system up and running, full with QE/CI. I used iAtkos ML2. use flags, "-v -f npci=0x3000 USBBusFix=Yes GraphicsEnabler=No cpus=1" to install. without quotes of course.
  6. Hey guys, I have successfully installed Mac OS X Maverick DP1 using myHack on my Vaio VPCEB16FG (nothing else has worked until now). I made the installation USB and booted with -v -f npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=No. Somehow the GraphicsEnabler=Yes halts the procedure at bluetooth control thing. Anyways, coming to the point. I am successfully running DP1 as of right now and there's no sound and there's no QE/CI therefore making the UI extremely hard to use. There are methods mentioned for 10.7.2 for QE/CI on 5650m but i just wanted to confirm if they'll work? PS: I just discovered battery states aren't working either. It shows the battery has 0% charge. Update: I have gotten the battery stats to work. Well not perfectly though. For the percentage to update, i need to disconnect and reconnect. I downloaded one of the fixes from osx86. For sound, i just used VooDooHDA 2.8.4. Works pretty well. The only problem left to be solved is QE/CI. I hope someone helps me out. Regards, Kalpak Khemka.
  7. No audio on GA-G41MT-S2 (rev 1.4) + Radeon 6770

Trying it now, will report back if it works.
  8. No audio on GA-G41MT-S2 (rev 1.4) + Radeon 6770

Unfortunately, i cannot read russian and i cannot understand anything. Could you please guide me in English?
  9. Hey Guys, Here is my specs first, 1) Motherboard: GA-G41MT-S2 2) CPU: Intel Dual Core E5700 @ 3.0 Ghz 3) 4GB DDR3 4) MSI Radeon HD 6770 flashed to 5770 5) Sound Card: ALC887-VD2 6) Chimera 1.10 w/ GraphicEnabler=Yes I am running 10.7.4 right now and everything seems to be working fine except for sound. I have tried all the kexts possible (Voodoo, Apple etc) but for some reason i haven't been able to get sound working. The farthest i could go was an audio card detected under sound as HDMI (I am using an HDMI out) but the it said that this device has no output controls. Therefore i request my fellow users to please help me and get my sound working. Regards, Kalpak Khemka.
  10. Hey Guys, I am writing this post to archive my method of installation and also so that it could help others by providing something like a guide. Pre-requisites: 1) iAtkos L2 2) Compatible Graphics Card 3) DVD Writer and a blank DVD / 8GB USB Drive 4) PATIENCE. Here are the basic steps that i followed to get everything working: 1) So, the first step in the installation process is to grab a copy of iAtkos L2 (i am not gonna link to it, google is your friend). 2) A. If you are on a Windows installation right now, write the image to a DVD (make sure you burn it at the slowest speed). I am afraid that the USB method is a PIA to get it to work. B. If you already have a Mac installation running, mount the iAtkos L2 image and restore it to your USB. After restoring, it is important that you install Chimera to it (pkg attached below). I would still suggest using a DVD though (much safer and easier). 3) Boot up through your installation media and follow the onscreen instructions. Make sure you format one of the partitions in the HFS+ format from utilities/disk utility > Click on your hard disk > click on partition > Select the desired number of partitions > Options - GUID > Apply. Close the disk utility 4) In the customize menu, select the Drivers and select your corresponding sound drivers (usually Voodoo works for most of the drivers but i haven't been able to get sound working on my Hackintosh yet). 5) Click OK and proceed with the installation. 6) To get LAN working, use the kext wizard to install the kext provided. Thats it for this tutorial. Hope this helps. Regards, Kalpak Khemka. AtherosL1cEthernet.kext.zip Kext Wizard.zip Chimera-1.11.0.zip
