  1. After some hard work, *almost* everything is working as it should now. The only thing I haven't looked at yet is the NEC USB 3.0 port. Maybe when I have time. System specs: Manufacturer: Packard Bell (Acer) CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00 GHz RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333 Mainboard: Packard Bell SJV70_HR (highly unknown) Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 6650M 1GB Storage: Intel 320 Series 120GB (SSD) + 640 GB HDD Ethernet: Atheros AR8151 WiFi: Atheros 9287 Sound: Realtek ALC269 Trackpad: Synaptics - running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 - Everything listed above works as it should, or at least as far as I tested. - Power management should be fine (SSDT, MSRDumper reports correct stepping) - Sleep works - Cosmetic issue: Ethernet shows "connected" even if no cable is plugged in, with no IP assigned - HDMI port worked with my TV (HDMI -> HDMI), but not with my PC monitor (HDMI -> DVI). No idea why. - Internal mic probably doesn't work, haven't tested precisely. - DSDT+SSDT dumped from Linux, DSDT patches applied: Core i* Sandy Bridge, Audio, GFX - Takes ~11 seconds to boot (BIOS POST not included) If you have a similar system, just ask if you need instructions or kexts whatever.

    ATI Radeon 6xxx, working QE/CI

Having looked at the link Pentahex posted, I don't see where it's explained how to edit ati.c and recompile Chameleon/Chimera.. It's basically just about finding out your device ID and trying out various framebuffers..

Alright, sorry, we're talking about the Mobility 6650 that's often used in Acer 7750G and some Packard Bell laptops.

What kind of 'graphics corruption'? And how did you recompile the boot file? Also, are you on SL or Lion?

    ATI Radeon 6xxx, working QE/CI

Is there any way to get the Mobility 6650 card working? The device ID (0x6741) is listed in ATI6000Controller but it doesn't seem to be detected. I am sure it's 0x6741, double-checked using lspci from a debian live cd. Using "GraphicsEnabler=no", I don't get more than 1024x768, unless I use "Graphics Mode"="1600x900x32" (my native resolution) - everything without QE/CI. The card isn't detected in System Profiler either. When using GE=yes, I get a message like "ATI card POSTed, ..." when booting, then the system freezes. I have tried several framebuffers for AtiConfig, all of them with the same result. I feel quite lonely with this card
